My husband is someone I would consider the traditional type of man, he believes men should be able to solely provide for their family and should be the protector. As someone who has a 6 month old, I personally would enjoy my brain power being used for something other than being “mom”. As long as you’re aware her time may be limited and she isn’t struggling with being a new mom I think it’s a great idea!
