How big of an age gap are we talking about? At 22 I definitely struggled finding other women my age to date. Now at 30 it is pretty easy to go out with women that age. Of course, getting the attractive ones is still tough, but even that is easier now than it was when I was younger. So in my experience your claim doesn't hold true, at least for an 8 year age gap. If you weren't a good looking guy when you were younger, then the money/lifestyle you develop (assuming you lifescript correctly) when …

If you make 6 figures and can get some surgery to fix whatever issues you have (within reason, I know surgery can’t fix everything), then you will obviously be able to attract women and get dates. Average normal height white guys making decent money in an urban area can get dates. I am sure you agree with that at least? I mean maybe there is stuff you can do now, but it seems like way too much effort. Average looking lower class girls will want to date you. At least enough of them will to make i…

No, although most self described MGTOW ppl I have met are absolutely obsessed with women, which makes no sense. The extra baggage is the bad part.

How much will do you think you will make when you finish grad school? Are you against surgery? Idk what you actually look like but I doubt it's so bad that some relatively low cost surgery couldn't take you to a 4 or 5. If you make good money then I think you could turn this into a numbers game. Right now you have no real selling points. But you are white, not really that short, can talk to people, and you are in a city. So you do have some factors in your favor.

Well, it gets easier to date/attract women. Not only is there less weight placed on physical appearance relative to other stuff more within your control, but if you stay in shape you are also going to be more attractive relative to the "competition" than the early/mid 20's where being in shape is really nothing special. This happens at the same time demographics shift to become more favorable. You will kind of become the "nice guy" if you aren't already tbh. It would be dumb to deny it. Genetics…

Yea I think you should be able to get dates. I will send you a PM with what I would do in your situation. It's too late/early atm but i'll offer my random advice as someone who agrees with a lot of blackpill stuff. Probably sometime after work. But a few quick points: While I do think the whole "it gets easier as you get older" thing is a cope, it definitely is true for men with certain profiles. I think you might fall into this category. Being in great shape becomes less common, which means in …

Does it have to be a relationship? What if I give you advice that leads to you getting a date? Or maybe to make it more interesting a second date? That is probably the real hurdle and maybe better for offering actionable advice. I don't want $500 but I think your issues are at least partly mental, and this is coming from someone who is pretty "blackpill" himself. Hold old are you? How tall are you? About how much do you make a year? On your very best day what's your attractiveness 1-10? Are yo…

Idk your situation, but I imagine then it’s possible for you to become a 4, even if that requires some surgery. At that point you are just one of the many generic average invisible guys. Ppl like that do get relationships quite often. The other component is money. If you aren’t already you should try to make an at least above average salary.

From my understanding the PUA types do think that. Or at least they pretend to in order to sell their product to naive men. TRP not so much from my understanding. If someone were to objectively rate your appearance 1-10, where would you land?

If you can, why wouldn't you? In our capitalist society money = freedom. Although I feel like people always forget that there are way more attractive women than there are rich men. So there aren't enough of these men to go around, and the competition is fierce. Most women would not make the cut.

I did a quick google search and apparently most OF accounts make less than $145 a month after commission. The Gini Index of OnlyFans is 0.83. So idk how much of a bubble there is to actually pop. Any kind of "crash" would probably only impact the very top accounts. Most of the other people there are just wasting their time.

She wouldn't be with you if you didn't have money, and you wouldn't be with her if she was not young and sexy. If done correctly you can still make genuine connections sugar dating. You get to know each other better than if you just pay for an escort. For some guys that is important. I mean the woman a beta dude is going to marry wouldn't be with him if he didn't have money either. There is a certain amount of dishonesty involved in marriage as well, but it still works for many people. Although …

Maybe it’s different for guys younger than me, but I think average looking guys can still have success using OLD. You are likely gunna gave to pay though, and it’s definitely a numbers game. It’s tougher for sure, but certainly not impossible. At least, that’s been my experience.

I am not an incel (although if I were born a decade later I think I may have been), but I am pretty blackpill. When I was younger a lot of my really close friends happened to be very attractive guys. I got invited to all of their parties and social events and shit. I hadn't made a lot of money yet and I am not naturally attractive, so I had to try to kind of play a mentally exhausting numbers game if I didn't want to just be a virgin forever, which meant lot's of rejection. I feel like this time…

It's not too personal haha. No, I do not want to get married. I do not believe marriage is a good idea for men like me. I'm not against it as a concept though and know a few very happy married couples.

Oh not at all. There is a lot of middle ground between ugly and beautiful. Plus there is a big difference between 30 and 39. I still think there are plenty of average looking and even sometimes attractive women my age and older. I don't think I am an outlier either. Pretty sure most men agree with me. We all get older and our looks fade. It isn't a big deal. There is always betabuxxing if you really wanna date younger.

I am a straight male who isn't very good at determining if an aging man is still attractive or not. It is almost unheard of for someone to still be beautiful in their 40's. They may look good for 40, but to me that is different. That doesn't mean I think people in their 40's are all ugly. But saying "women look beautiful in their 30s and 40s" is clearly incorrect. Just look at people in their 30's and 40's.... I'll give you 30's if you have good genetics, but even that is kinda rare imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/20 10:55 PM

women don't look beautiful in their 40's. Don't be delusional. Women with good genetics can be beautiful in their 30's if they have good lifestyle habits. I'm imagine men lose their attractiveness around the same time, but idk I can't judge dudes.

Yea I definitely agree on the boring part. You could argue that maybe there was a time where it was new and edgy and against the status quo or whatever, but now it's just dull and repetitive. Hopefully it has reached its peak.

I am just thinking of the short guys I know who are in relationships, and most of them seem to be in similar positions to yourself (other than being younger). I think they all had gf's who were shorter than them, but the girls were pretty cute and none were obese. Being short is obviously a disadvantage, but I don't think you are doomed just b/c you are 5'6, especially since you apparently have other stuff going for you.

Some of this isn't adding up. How old are you? Do you live in a shitty/rural area?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/20 03:11 AM

Perhaps, but there are some areas of the country where there really isn't much to do for singles. You basically have to use OLD to expand your dating pool. But either way if dating is really important to someone they can move. NYC for example is known to be pretty good for even average dudes.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/20 02:55 AM
5

This very much depends on your location. In a big city you can absolutely get by without OLD quite easily. Assuming you are a dude, demographics are usually going to be in your favor in urban areas as well.

I feel like this would only work if it's an attractive woman playing a guy with little to no options. I think most high value men have too many women competing for their attention for manipulation tactics to work. Just thinking of my best looking friends, there were always groups of girls competing to spend time with them. I don't think this would have worked.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/20 12:52 AM

It depends on genetics and lifestyle habits. Plenty of women in their 30's are still very attractive.

Ah I gotcha, yea I missed that part. On that note I think if you are going to be bb, then yea you may as well be bb for the best woman you can get. I view it as a pseudo transactional relationship anyways. But yea being bb for an 18yo would be really weird and potentially exploitative. I don't think bb and marriage go together well, but that's just me. Fussing about sex itself though I agree is kinda bizarre, especially after a certain age. I wouldn’t say they are necessarily making a fuss, they just have a personal preference. Some people who don’t have any real success with women until their late 20s don’t wanna be betabucks. That doesn’t mean you think women owe you anything, including their youth. You just don’t become betabucks or marry or whatever and live your life. What I don’t get is why women don’t seem to understand this sentiment. I definitely get being turned off by the bitterness some of these guys display, but that’s…

There doesn’t have to be a chip on your shoulder. Some people just don’t wanna be betabucks. Many guys in this category are bitter for sure, but that’s their problem and nobody else needs to care. My point is just that it isn’t that crazy to not wanna be betabucks. At least it seems pretty understandable to me. You can hold that belief and not have a grudge against women.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/20 02:51 AM

Yea, this makes sense. People will have fun/date/fall in love in their youth and then settle down as they get older. That is the standard LifeScript in 2020. But I imagine you could understand why someone who was not desirable in their early/mid 20's would not want to be beta bucks, right? I think reducing the sentiment to just "give me your youth" is a red herring.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/20 01:01 AM
1

Sure it's ok, why wouldn't it be? The important thing is to actually know the relationship is essentially transactional . Guys can get themselves into trouble when they start thinking otherwise. One of the advantages of making money as you get older is the ability to enter into these kinds of relationships if you want to. It's basically an artificial cheat code that in nature shouldn't really exist. Bragging about being betabux is a little weird though. I think the "guys peak late" meme is a cop…

Yea this is BS. I know some guys have this weird revenge fantasy where the girl that rejected them can't find a guy when she gets older. These dudes constantly hyperbolize everything and are often times clearly bitter about their youth. But on the other hand betabux are not always easy to find. Especially if you are older and let yourself go then good fuckin luck. Just in general, even those 10 years older than the current early 20s gen (gen Z) don't seem aware of the rampant mental illness, lack of career opportunities (mostly for men), problems even average guys are having getting girls, lack of social skills, etc. Maybe I just hang out with misfits but our struggles seem invisible to older people. Interesting. Can you expand on this a bit? I am 30 and feel like I might have just barely lucked out on missing the worst of this when I was younger. As some…

Some guys care, others don't. I wouldn't say the ones that do are "outliers" though. It's not really an unreasonable personal preference. Although it should be pointed out that a huge portion of the dudes who say that care about n count will pounce on the first pretty girl who shows him interest. N count gets thrown out the window irl.

What makes "good genes" in the 21st century is very different than when our ancestors inhabited the earth. Obviously evolution didn't keep pace with the rate at which we transitioned from nomad to civilized society. I'm pretty sure there is a correlation between attractiveness and health (and probably other positive traits), but we still select for the same semi-obsolete genetic traits that we did centuries ago. If natural selection could somehow resume again today based on our current society, …

Obviously nobody should be grateful to be betabux. But it isn't the end of the world either, even though it does suck when you are young. Really not that big of a deal as you get older though imo. People overblow it. You can either feel sorry for yourself and dwell on it constantly, or alternatively you can move forward with life playing the hand you've been dealt. At the end of the day being betabux in a first word country in 2020 is still winning the lottery of birth. I agree getting married a…

I think this is based on whether or not this is even an option for you to begin with. I think if you are the kind of guy who can't get a fwb to begin with, then you will never get someones best in LTR, b/c I don't think guys who are betabucks are genuinely valued. But if you are among the ~20% of attractive men, then I think you will get the "best" from a woman in a LTR.

I think that is an overly negative and pessimistic view of how society operates. If society only helped people for selfish reasons, we would basically just let all the old people who can't work anymore die the instant they get sick, since they are now a drag on the economy. A lot of stuff we do as a society wouldn't happen. Imo the set of what society should care about expands as we grow wealthier and become more advanced. If we lived in a country that couldn't even feed itself then even things …

I think you are right that we just have conflicting value systems and world views. I think we just disagree on the fundamental principles and purposes of society. In the hypothetical unrealistic scenario where there were no other negative externalities from widespread lonely sexless people, I still think it would be the duty of society to help them. But that really just boils down to my opinion. There is no right answer to the proper role of society. Heck some people think society shouldn't even…

Are you saying that if homelessness didn't create other issues for society, that it wouldn't then be a societal issue? So the problem isn't that that your fellow citizen is sleeping outside on cold pavement, the problem is that they might leave a dirty needle nearby? That too many of them hurt property values/business? Obviously it is a minority. If it was a majority that would be a fucking catastrophe lol (could be wrong but I think that is the situation in some Middle Eastern countries). "Homelessness is not a societal issue, its only a small minority. It might be growing, but it's still a minority. It's an individual problem." I don't even know how you are differentiating between individual problems vs. societal problems other than your gut feelings. 30% of something bad is clearly a societal issue. Sometim…

It's an issue, and in some countries is it actually a really, really, really big issue. I wouldn't get too worked up over what some of the crazier ppl on this sub say. It's obvious if someone is being genuine or if they just have an axe to grind against women. Anyone who would unironically say we should physically force women to fix this problem is a wackjob. I just don't see your reluctance to admit that this is an issue society faces and that needs to be solved by society. It will probably get…

There is no reason to care about what is a "net benefit for society in general." If all you care about are your self interests, who cares. But yea, I think we agree on the point that ideally people don't just pursue their self interests. Depending on the percentages it is a societal problem. Japan would be an extreme example. Idk how you solve it without infringing on personal freedoms. There are probably public policy decisions that you could take, maybe somehow indirectly subsidize/nudge peopl…

I mean, you could basically argue that there is "no reason" to do anything other than peruse your own self interests. There is no reason to help homeless people, pay for the education of random children, give to charity, etc. But for those of us that want to live in a healthy society, we have a reason to care about problems in society. Setting aside basic human empathy, I think a situation where many people want but can't get sex is a societal issue just like the other stuff I mentioned.

Pretty quickly. We all make pretty quick judgments about people based on first impressions. Within a few minutes I will determine if I want to continue a convo or bail. I guess this wouldn't really count as getting to know her personality though. By the time I get actually got a grasp of a someones personality I would have already decided I like their company. But for most guys you honestly don't have to be anything spectacular in this area. I am sure your natural personality is great for 95% of…

I don't think you can make any kind of generalizations based on how things work for the top 1%. Elon Musk is a billionaire and a public figure. A guy who is good looking is going to have a lot more success than a guy who makes 3x his income but is average looking. I don't think anyone can deny that really, b/c we both know that is what everyone witnesses irl. Physical attractiveness is the #1 proxy for genetic fitness, which is what most women filter for.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/20 04:34 AM
2

This is just a more roundabout way of saying AF/BB. As a general rule, I agree physical attractiveness gets less important as you get older. But your work success, talent, and family relationships don't have much to do with "flirting privileges" no matter how old you are. That is still going to overwhelmingly be determined by physical attractiveness. Guys learn their place in the pecking order as young adults, and it doesn't change much unless they have some kind of physical transformation. You …

Totally depends on the person imo. If you are meant to date, you are going to naturally cultivate relationships of one form or another with women as you transition into adulthood. You will presumably enjoy her company, grow together, have seckz, share experiences, and do all the other standard stuff people talk about. There are many reasons to date. But this is something that should happen naturally by your mid 20's. After that point, if you haven't dated, I think it is safe to say something is.…

This depends on the attractiveness of the dude. For a guy in the bottom 50%, it doesn't really matter when he reaches his physical peak, since he is basically invisible regardless. All things considered, average dudes will peak at the point where they have the most money, while still being young enough to not be an old man. Men and women probably reach their physical peak roughly around the same age, with men obviously entering theirs a little later. It's just that being at your physical peak me…

I feel like a lot of you are purposely misrepresenting what he is saying. He is not talking about a guy who had a "normal" sex life growing up. If he had some casual sex and a few relationships here and there, I would completely agree his way of thinking would be totally irrational. He is being rational. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. He is pointing out that if you are a guy who could not attract women until, say, 30, then you can make the educated assumption that any woman who is "attracted" to you now would have rejected you when you were younger. Just like everyone else did. I would go so far as to say that this is common sense. So it is not true that you will "never know". That's nonsense. What BP gets right: there’s a wide variety of what women like, and although optimizing yourself towards conventional beauty standards will maximize the number of women you can attract, unless you have a severe, legitimate deformity (like 60%+ of your body covered in burn scars) you can still be extremely physically attractive to some women. I am living proof that this is false. It boggles my mind that people keep saying this in 2020. Edit: Read my post again and I kinda sound like a dick. I admi…

No. I just don't think they should vote for policies that tax people (mostly men) at high rates to fund their needs. Its one thing to think a man is too ugly to breed with but really unfair and immoral to expect that men to fund a welfare state with his taxes. At least let him keep his own money. Morality aside, the issue is in the long run we would all be worse off with a bunch of impoverished/uneducated children and young adults. Absolutely not. although I should point out that the undesirable guys you are talking about are the entire reason society exists in the first place. When I was in university a few of my good looking friends had girls buying them stuff. One of my old roommates had a girl that would frequently drop by and give him food/drinks that she bought or baked. After she left he would just give me the food because he was absolutely obsessed with eating healthy and never actually wanted the stuff she gave him. As a broke college student I got about 6 months worth of free meals/snacks this way.

You are assuming that she is going to be able to find a Beta to settle with. That may have been true in the past, but I think by around 30 or so most men kinda know what's up. I don't think this strategy of just adjusting your parameters when you feel like it will work very well in the future like it may have in the past. Anecdotal, but as someone who could qualify as Beta Bucks myself, if I were to ever be the provider/comfort guy, it isn't going to be for a woman my own age.

As long as you don't expect society so subsidize your fuck ups, I don't care. I don't think women nowadays are pursuing a good strategy to find LTR's (if that is even what most want anymore), but what every person chooses to do is their own business.

In your post you conflate "men who want to exploit women" with "low value man." This is a common thing women on PPD do every time they mention this subject. Whenever you talk about a guy who struggles to attract women, you always toss in these additional negative adjectives to describe them. You are also just assuming they aren't great partners in general. Besides that you just stated the obvious. OK kid. Believe what you want. Idc enough to convince you otherwise. I've already had this conversation enough times before to know we will just go in circles. Sometimes people just have to discover the truth for themselves. If you can manage to live in ignorant bliss then more power to you.

No. At least not in the aggregate. So much of life comes down to dumb luck, so sure for any given individual the debunked stuff the OP is talking about might work. All else equal, being more outgoing/charming/funny/etc is a good thing and still helpful to some limited extent. However, outside of extreme situations, this is not going to be the determining factor in your success. In other aspects of life we have no problem admitting the inherent constraints placed on you by your genetics. For exam…

A combination of reasons. Lack of success dating can kind of have a snowball effect. But the most significant factor by far is genetics. Pretty much everything else can be fixed.

Is this a parody account? If not, you got a lot to learn kid. I don't wanna be the guy to burst the bubble you built for yourself. Just know that if you are in fact successful with women, it isn't for the reasons you think.

This is a very good point. When I was going on a mini tour of the country recently I had no time to really think about anything else. Now due to the virus situation and partly out of boredom I accepted a job in a different city. I am essentially just waiting to start, and staying distracted is almost impossible now with everything shut down.

People don't choose their genetics. A guy with the wrong genetics can never be attractive. In most cases this can't be overcome by stuff like working out/eating healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/20 10:12 PM

I am sure it doesn't help. I imagine it drives girls away to a much higher degree though. If you play any well known online game as a woman it probably won't be long before you have listen to some immature guy(s) giving you a hard time or going on some rant. As normal guys get older and more mature, putting up with that stuff just gets more annoying. So it probably makes people who would quit gaming anyways give it up more quickly. Or they are like me and only play with their buddies.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/20 07:59 PM

My bad then. I got the impression from your post that you were saying these men knew they weren't desirable, and that they just sit at home and play video games because because that is their lot in life. I didn't infer that you didn't believe they were right to think this. But for many of them, that is true. They might have approached a lot before and learned that women do not like them for one reason or another. Or for some maybe women just made it very clear to them that they weren't desirable…

If I am playing a game that requires teamwork and communication, then it's important to be able to hear what other players are saying. Listening to guys go on angry or misogynistic rants is not fun for me either if I am just trying to relax. Some games are worse than others, but in general the gaming community isn't exactly known for being friendly towards women, and understandably so. They earned their stereotype for a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/20 07:46 PM

The guys who are sitting at home playing video games are not like you describe. At least, a huge portion of them aren't. There is a completely understandable stereotype that guys who sit at home and play video games all day tend to be pretty misogynistic. Get too many of them and they can ruin the experience of a game. Besides, whether or not they approach tons of women won't make a difference, which you appear to agree with anyways. So I guess idk what point you are trying to make.

Let's say 50% percent of men couldn't get sex. Heck even 80%. I could be wrong, but I believe the closest real world example of this is the Middle East. If it somehow got that bad in America then I imagine men with the resources would start emigrating from the country en masse. I am sure there would be other negative consequences that we can't predict.

On the other hand, struggling to achieve romantic success with women when I was younger has definitely had a decent influence on who I am today. I basically completely lost my desire to find a l…

If someone does not want to go on a date with you, they certainly don’t want a LTR with you. If you struggle dating, by definition you will struggle getting a LTR. Women may struggle to get relationships with the guys they want, but that is only because they are all competing for the same small subset of men. But in general, men struggle a lot more in dating, which implies less success developing relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/20 11:59 PM
2

That doesn’t make any sense. If you have an easier time dating you will have an easier time developing long term relationships. You can’t develop a LTR if nobody wants to go on a date with you.

Do you not know how evolution works? Women filter men based on how well their genetics are suited to a world that existed 100,000 years ago. On the aggregate, women do not care about personality if the guy does not already pass this filter. Any qualities that women may like (such as humor, personality, charm, etc.) do not matter if you aren't already pre-selected based on your appearance/genetics. Women are not less shallow, they just follow a different biological imperative than men. There is n…

I think you are taking a pretty uncommon kink you have and assigning it to the general population. A guy does not benefit from supporting you while you fuck other guys that aren't him. It is simply not rational behavior. To 99% of guys, the relationship you are describing makes no sense and does not sound appealing at all. It only might make any kind of sense if the guy has a similar kink. But that is still quite a lot just to satisfy a sexual kink. I still don't think you have shown any benefit…

It does not matter what you do if she is not attracted to you. You can come up with strategies in your head or on the internet but it is essentially pointless. There are not real definitions on this, but the way I see it, roughly: Blue Pill: Your common normal guy who believes all fairly tale nonsense about women (i.e personality matters, be a gentleman, be a provider, looks aren't overwhelmingly important). The stereotypical guy who makes the world go round and the economy work. Red Pill: Guys who believe females suck for one reason or another and they just need to level up their looks/money/status to attract women. Typically guys who were burned/reje…

Women are either naturally attracted to you or they aren't. That's all there is to it. If they aren't attracted to you, they might pretend to be interested if you have something to offer (typically resources). At a certain age it should be obvious where you stand in the pecking order, but somehow it isn't and many guys never get this. This is another instance where society makes it very easy to simply deny reality and go about your day ignorant of how the real world works. I guess people are "li…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/20 11:29 PM

I see, well the source of confusion then was we are defining class differently. For example, I think that Larry Ellison -being worth 60 billion dollars- is upper class. Since he grew up poor, you think he is lower class.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/20 08:59 PM

Trust me, I interact with people from a larger set of backgrounds than you. You are describing variability in values among people of the same class, not UMC vs LMC. I agree the 0.1% of the population who grew up with multi-millionaire parents is going to be less likely to date a waitress. They probably have had a certain set of beliefs constantly drilled into them since a young age that would include who they should date. These people are still living in a time long gone by to a large extend. Gu…

Idk what differences in attitudes/personalities/values you are talking about. Are you a boomer? We don't live in Victorian England. Unless you have this caricature image of a blatantly uneducated lower class woman then I don't think most guys who are engineers are going to have values incompatible with a waitress. Most lower class people have similar values to me. Probably more similar than many people in my socioeconomic class. Maybe it is a urban vs rural thing.

Well I am a post college age professional engineer that attempted and failed to date a waitress or two. How are you defining UMC? Just in terms of income or by profession? I think you might be projecting women's dating preferences onto men. We are driven to have sex. Children are just a byproduct of our natural desire to mate. From what I have read, most anthropologists believe our early ancestors didn't even make the connection between sex and pregnancy at all. Early humans probably thought childbirth was caused by some magic gift from the gods (one theory is that this changed once we domesticated dogs). If anything, the existence of abortion/condoms/birth control supports what I am saying. We have a better understanding of the na…

Yes, all else equal someone who maintains proper hygiene is going to do better than someone who doesn't. My point was regarding personality. Your height and personal hygiene are not personality traits. A guy who is self obsessed and brags a lot will do well with women if he is good looking, he won't if he is ugly. We…

Idk, I would solidly qualify as UMC and I would prefer a waitress over a lawyer/doctor for a long term relationship. I think many lawyers/doctors are status obsessed so maybe it's a bigger deal to them. Another factor to consider is that most people will just naturally tend to mingle with people in their own socioeconomic class. Same parties/friends/events/etc. It is typically women who won't date someone in a lower class.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/20 11:11 PM

Of course, with 7.7 billion people on the planet, no model we come up with is going to perfectly describe every person and every relationship in all situations. But the Beta/Alpha dichotomy is popular for a reason, mainly b/c it roughly describes reality. I would argue that it is almost self evident given our biological imperatives. Real life does not generally depend on personality and preference, that is completely false. Your personality has almost no impact on your ability to attract women. …

Dating isn't that hard. Don't be judgemental, try to be a good person, work hard, and don't create unfair expectations. If that were true I would have gotten a gf in my 20's. in reality it isn't that simple. We can also reject your naive pop psychology theory without blaming an entire gender. I agree blaming women as a whole is wrong.

Girl from the Dominican Republic. Idk how to describe it other than she was extremely extremely into it, which really turned me on. Idk if it was just her or if Caribbean woman are normally that passionate in bed. I would like to find out.

This is an absolutely excellent outlook to have on life. I bet you will have a lot of amazing experiences to reflect on as you get older, and that's all anyone can hope for really.

The thing that sucks is the times where we are treated poorly are often times the ones we remember most. All of the times where someone is kind or neutral towards us will probably be forgotten about or passed over completely. Sometimes I have to take time to reflect on that as well. Idk your past or how certain individuals treated you, so maybe there are reasons why you think the way you do. But there is no gender war between men and women where one side can only win at the expense of the other.…

How can you think like that? So you are telling me the random person on the street is "selfish trash" then? I couldn't imagine living my life thinking that. I assume all people are good until proven otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/20 06:51 PM
2

Surely you must know that can't possibly be true. Go out an interact with men/women irl, the vast majority of both are at the very least decent people. A minority of people in almost any given group is going to be "selfish trash", but most people are either good/kind or just too preoccupied in their own lives to treat others poorly.

You created a Question for Men asking us what it is about average dudes women should find SEXUALLY attractive. You are either attracted to the physical qualities of an average man, or you aren't. There is no kind of normative analysis to be had whatsoever. I could say, "you should be attracted to an average guys face", for example. But you aren't, as you previously stated you don't find average guys attractive. You seem to think you have us all dumbfounded and stumbling over ourselves, when the …

Yea this entire post boils down to "convince me why I should be attracted to something I am not attracted to".
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/20 02:16 AM

Well, physically, average men will typically deviate somewhere around average height, average face, average weight, average dick size, average muscles. Most guys can look at your average female and find something attractive. It is not a question of if they should or shouldn't. If none of the physical traits I mentioned above are attractive to you, then you aren't attracted to average looking men. Which is fine, outside of reddit most guys are not going to hold that against you, because adults un…

I guess I don't really understand what you are trying to say in the OP. I think you are misinterpreting what we are saying when we talk about women not finding us sexually attractive. Like plenty of other average looking men, I feel like I have a lot of other great qualities. I would certainly like it if these qualities were considered sexually attractive, but they aren't. Should they be? Well, the question itself almost doesn't make sense. I guess if I were god for a day and could pick and choo…

Well in an ideal world we all would find kindness, empathy, productivity, loyalty, etc. sexually attractive. But I reject the premise that men or women should find x, y, or z attractive, as people don't have any control over what they are attracted to. Of course average guys -like everyone else- want to be desired for who they are, but the idea that they "should" be doesn't align with nature or reality.

hahaha I know right. I think it's just us dudes though. The women of PPD all seem like normal well grounded people from what I can tell (for the most part), yet we all seem to be weirdo's/outliers in one respect or another lol. I actually have a theory that SF in general sucks for dudes.

Not a bad idea. Actually I let people couchsurf at my apartment all the time, so being the one doing the surfing will be interesting. That is a good attitude to have. A positive outlook on life is very important, and based on how you describe yourself you should have every reason to believe things will get better in the future. As long as you don't entirely base your happiness as a person around your success with women, I think you have the right attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/20 08:41 PM

I think it will get easier for you as you get older. It did for me. I went on more dates at 29 than I did my entire life before then. By "futility" I mean more along the lines of attracting women the way your good looking friends can. It sounds like you have a lot going for you though, if I were a betting man I would guess you only have things to look forward to in the future. Mid 20's can be rough.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/20 08:34 PM

You remind me of myself when I was your age. I am not that much older (30), but reflecting on it I definitely feel like a lot of men like us go through similar "phases" if you will. By our mid 20's we normally have enough life experience/maturity to accept the futility of our situation regarding this aspect of our lives. It is only one aspect of life though, in fact it sounds like you are doing really well in many other regards. This is something I became more comfortable with in my later 20's. …

All I know is I am straight up blasted. I am proud of myself for having no spelling errors. Gay ppl love vodka. Also my gay friend vanished so i'm here completely by myself. I would try to hit on some of the women here but I think they come here specifically so they don't get hit on. edit: i had no idea Asian girls like gay bars so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/20 05:39 AM

If gay men hit on me why don’t women? It doesn’t make sense. If they are both attracted to dudes you would think women would hit on me. I’m so stressed from work.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/20 05:18 AM

I’m drunk at a gay bar.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/20 04:57 AM

Exactly. I work with technology and smart boring rich people all the time. Don't need more of that. A girl who adds something unique (such as being an artist, or traveling a lot, etc.) would add a lot more to my life than additional income to buy an extra cottage house so we can hang out with a bunch of fat boomers.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 10:25 PM
1

I admit I may be out of the ordinary in this regard. I am 30 and never had an actual girlfriend, so the thought of a "life partner" is not even something I entertain anymore. It isn't something that is going to happen. But for the sake of argument, no I would not filter for income when searching for a life partner. To but it bluntly, I do not need anymore income. Paying for another person on dates, food, trips etc is not going to cost enough for me to notice any real difference. Don't get me wro…

Interesting, they kinda sound like squares to me. The concept of vetting for someone in your "class" makes it sound like they live in Victorian England or something. That sounds fucking weird lol. I guess I don't get it. But I do agree you are probably right on this one and I suppose most guys do care about this. Other people here seem to agree with you as well. Idk maybe i'm just a weirdo.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 06:34 PM
1

Even guys who are already pretty well off? I can already afford pretty much everything I want. There is no reason to filter women based on income. It's not like I am opposed to dating a high earner either or anything. Are your single guy friends UMC/UC?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 06:18 PM
1

Ok all else equal sure I would. But if the poor one had a slightly better personality, or I was a little more attracted to them, I would rather date the poor girl. Income is just way down on my list of what I look for.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 06:06 PM
2

But I will say this - knowing full well my inbox is about to blow up with accusations of being a gold digger - smart people don’t get involved with people who can’t afford the type of lifestyle they want. I think this may be more true for women. I don't remotely care about a potential future partners income. It is probably one of the last things I would look for in a woman. Dating a sexy artist chick sounds way more fun than dating a tech ho.

Hmm, maybe I didn't word my initial post very well, because you are assigning beliefs to me that I don't hold. I simply know from observation what it looks like when a woman is actually attracted to a man. That is very different than their "attraction" to a beta provider. As a man, being a "beta provider" is not very appealing. I have/had attractive friends, I know how women behave when they are with someone they are genuinely attracted to. I also know that because I have money that I have something to put on the table for the relationship "transaction." On my side of the transaction, I am to provide with resources. But the genuine love and interest from the woman will never be there. So as I am sure you can imagine, being a "provider" when you aren't already att…

How do you know they didn't genuinely like you as a friend but also want to fuck you? The two aren't mutually exclusive. I have been friends with women in the past that I wanted to have sex with. I have read a bit on it. They were also the first country to industrialize beginning around 1760, so the technological/industrial advantage over many of the countries they colonized was arguably the largest in history to that point. I think having no success with the opposite gender for a long period of time (especially during your younger years) is not healthy and is going to fuck you up one way of the other, possibly for longer than one may think. How that manifests itself varies depending on the person, likely based on some combination of personality/genetics/nurture. So the fact that one person gets angry and another gets sad is largely out of their control imo.

It was some kind of sweet and sour shrimp with some other stuff mixed in. Idk exactly as she ordered it, but it was certainly good at the time. EMERGENCY! CALLING OUT ALL OF THE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN OF PPD, PLEASE RESPOND ASAP! I matched with a girl on Bumble and am going to be meeting her at her apartment tonight. Since I am "beta bucks" I have almost no success with OLD. Most of the little success I have comes from real life encounters with women. I know nothing of the OLD world. 1 What made you give up? I never decided one day to just give up. I did what a lot of people in their teens and 20's do, go out and try to meet the opposite sex. It didn't work out for me. At the same time my career progressed and I started to put more effort towards that and traveling. I became more comfortable with myself and happier with they way my life was going, and I naturally just stopped explicitly looking for a gf. It was a process that took place over a decade. 2 What do you do now?…

Hmm, this is interesting to think about. I try to make it a specific point to treat everyone with respect and kindness, but I think I treat pretty girls better overall. Reflecting on it, I think the biggest difference is that I am more open and interested in the woman's other qualities as a person if she is pretty. Not in some fake way either, I think there is absolutely a halo effect.

If you meet someone via OLD, and you aren't remotely attracted to them, and you go on a date with them, you are using them and not being respectful of their time/feelings. I'm not saying don't meet the guy, but she should be fair to him and let him know how she feels. Then he can determine if he is still interested.

From what I have seen personally, less attractive couples have often times seemed the happiest. This is all anecdotal, but my more attractive friends always had a lot of turmoil in their relationships. My less attractive nerd friends had nerd girlfriends who loved them and shared their interests.

Trying to put myself in his shoes, I would be kinda let down if I went on a date with someone and they were not remotely attracted to me from the beginning. That would seem like a waste of time. I think the most ethical thing to do would be to tell him basically what you told us, and see if he is still interested in meeting. He very well may be, especially since I am assuming he thinks you are pretty.

I was just using that as an example as it was something I saw recently. I’m just saying it is good to sympathize with people very different than us. I mean at the end of the day 99% of the people posting here got very lucky in life by any reasonable measure. I don’t think it’s that hard.

It is important to be able to feel sympathy for people even if their background is totally different than our own. I am naturally more introverted and not naturally conventionally attractive, so it is very easy to me to empathize with people like that. Anyone here from/visited Chicago? I decided to spend a few days here and explore the city. I was wondering if anyone has any bar/restaurant/nightlife recommendations. I am guessing that men will usually say they are "not that type of guy" as a way to throw other guys under the bus and make themselves look better in comparison. I don't think there is anything morally wrong with desiring someone for their body, but I don't think preferring to also enjoy a connection/bond with the girl makes one a "Nice Guy" either. Interesting, well that is good to hear actually. Damn I wish I had a friend like you. I am the most "fashionable" person in my social circle and that isn't saying much. Would an average looking man who is dressed well stand out to you? Or are you assuming there is already a baseline of physical attractiveness? My responses as a 30/yo single male. Never been in a relationship I don't put as much time and effort into getting laid as I did in my early/mid 20's, largely due to time constraints and having more hobbies. I still use online dating from time to time, but I don't have much consistent success with that as I am not attractive enough. Yes, there is no way anyone should take this place seriously. It is decent entertainment and strangely addicting, but not very helpful. I just get sad when I see posts about how one gender “hates” the other. It makes me feel like the person is hurting inside and there is nothing I can do.

Please do not allow yourself to fall into this way of thinking. It is not healthy and in the same vain as the toxic red pill stuff on the internet. In the real word the vast majority of us love women, and vice versa. That is the way it is naturally, we compliment one another really well. I am sure you witness this in the real world unless you have a terrible social circle. My point is in the real word, people obviously don’t think like this. We can all see this in our day to day interactions with people. We didn’t evolve to hate each other. Men and women complement each other well.

It’s only a minority’s if men/women think like this. There is no point in trying to reason with them. They are emotionally damaged people. If anyone will change, it will be when they decide to. Most men love women, and vice versa. I imagine your social circle makes a big difference as well.

True, but laywers/doctors aren't really representative of most men either. I just have never gotten the impression that guys really cared much about what others thought of their gf. I'm serious. I am around uber nerds every day. Robotics competition champions/ ivy league STEM grads. None of them actually think like this. I have never seen any indication of being embarrassed by their gf's (some of who were definitely not conventionally attractive). I think it is most likely a lower class thing. But that is just one guys observation, maybe you witnessed differently. I'll admit maybe I have a skewed opinion due to being around "nerd culture" all the time.

Having a girlfriend/banging model is not seen as man's greatest achievement. Maybe when you are younger it is, but as someone who has never had a model girlfriend, I am still considered to be more of a "winner" among my peers due to my career. I think society/other men in general value your productivity/ability to contribute to the pack over how hot your gf is. In America at least, I think our society measures achievement by the size of your bank account, which is pretty dumb. But yea having a b…

Interesting. Do you use it to stay up for work/school I assume? I am a software developer and me and every other dev I know is way too reliant on caffeine for this. It has essentially become part of the workplace culture. Maybe if I have to go all out one day i'll try some coke haha. Do you stay up longer just to stay up?

Never met cokehead who wasn't a dumbass/mess. Hallucinogens seem to attract interesting people.

I suppose that is just part of the cost of doing business then. It just isn't enough money/resources for me to care if someone is so destitute/failing at life that they need to use me for a free coffee/lunch. Worse than being used was me wasting my time. I also only will ask a girl out if I myself like her to begin with. As for upscale bars, that was just an example of where you could meet women our age, which you now acknowledge. They never seemed to work for me either for the most part though.…

Well I couldn't reasonably pull off the sleazy player image to begin with, as I am a normal ("invisible" as they say) looking guy. I imagine the good guy provider image is kind of boring and typical, whereas a "player" in theory at least is good looking and good in bed. Good guy provider, not so much. All of my "player" friends have been good looking. I always attributed it to nothing more than that.

I am fully aware that having money is likely a big reason why I have more success now than before. I am sure if I was broke I would not be doing much better in the women department than when I was younger. I am not an idiot. I also have never been used for my money. I am not mega wealthy and don't spend much on dates (which are still rare). I will buy drinks/food if I have determined I like a girl and decided to invite her out. I don't feel like this is being used. Sorry, just don't. If you are …

I don't really see this much in the real world. Most people seem to date their age range, usually with the girl being a little younger. I think OP is raging and blowing things out of proportion.

I agree with everything you said but don't you think things get a little easier? I know it my early 20's it would have been inconceivable to schedule time for dates. There was nobody who wanted to date me. That isn't the case now, so in that sense things have gotten easier. Based on some of the other comments in this thread maybe I am not the norm, but I don't feel like I should be an exceptional circumstance.

Women seem to go after more of the provider/safe guy as they get older. I fit this mold pretty well, and that is why I get more female attention now than I did when I was younger, where looks were relatively more important. I only really see the laundry list of reqs on dating apps, which I have never liked as an average looking man. While non-dating app ways of meeting people are harder, it isn't THAT hard. There are specific venues/events where single people in their 30's flock to in every majo…

At least in my experience, it does get easier. Although I am speaking from the perspective of someone with a good career. I definitely think that has played a major factor in me being more successful as I got older. I don't think women raise their standards, I think their standards just change, and that may or may not be to your benefit depending on your situation. I think you make a good point that a lot of good candidates are self selecting out of the dating pool. While I have a much easier ti…

Seems irrelevant to the question OP asked.

As a 30 y/o who is not conventionally attractive, I can share my experience. During my early to mid/late 20's I had very little success with women. Never went on any real dates or had any kind of relationships, and the handful of times I did get laid could mostly be attributed to luck/being in the right place at the right time. I did put myself out there quite a bit for a person who is naturally more introverted/shy, so it's not like I didn't try. Most of the time that meant going out after work…
