If they die AT the scene the defendants actions are considered completely responsible. If they die at a later date it could be argued that medical complications, malpractice, or lifestyle choices contributed to death. Similarly the boyfriend has to genuinely express pain and suffering as not only did he kill someone but he lost his significant other in the process. This subreddit is mostly insecure republijokes and while I'm an independent I definitely agree women have preferential treatment in American society. And this isnt an opinion...stats show reduced sentencing for criminal acts (true for gender and race), better outcomes for child support/alimony as well as custody, and of course the cultural aspect where women want to be treated chivalrous AND SIMULTANEOUSLY equal...oxymoron. White person here. I dont get pissed off. Every race has bad actors. I'm a Bernie white guy who lives and works in a predominantly black area, but there are other whites..like Trump, Pence, FOX news, etc. And I hate them and understand when others have a proble with them and by extension white people. Emphasize on YOUNG WOMEN. Their spotlight prime expires bu around 24-26. They're still popular but no longer the "it" woman. Torch has been passed whether they like it or not and whether they know it or not. Britney Spears, Scarlett Johansson, Chrissy Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Keira Knightley, etc. Some of those woman remain popular but a rapid dropoff is more common.
