Really came full circle on this one didn’t they. I actually think a lot of old ideas are going to come back in a mutated, pro-woman form. For example as far as I can tell in most cases polyamory is just polygamy for women.

I am not particularly hopeful that the Democratic Party is going to take men’s issues very seriously in its rhetoric. However universal programs that help everyone will disproportionately help men in many areas. Better regulation of workplace safety will help men. Industrial and trade policy to increase manufacturing in the us will help men. Prison and sentencing reform will help men. Investments in housing creation will help men because almost everyone building a house is a man. And so on. So n…

Anyone who is receiving the message ‘You are unhappy and can do better!’ constantly from their friends, the media, and a four hour a day algorithmic drip feed on their phone is going be unhappy. It’s wild.

MOVE. Shit is not like this in the Midwest. Generally.

The most urgent thing, in my mind, is to determine if all the chemicals in our environment that mimic estrogen in the human body are actually doing anything serious to men, and then address that. It's possible that all the problems men are facing are downstream of a literally toxic environment, so let's determine if that's true and address it if it is.

I think that the fact that most high T men don’t commit crimes doesn’t disprove biology at all. As a sociologist you should be aware that population level effects can’t be disproven by individual exceptions. Also, this line of reasoning ignores that virtually all men have much higher testosterone than women, and that is your population comparison. I think the biological argument is pretty strong, as in all cultures that I’m aware of men commit more crimes, so it’s hard to say it’s a cultural phe…

Fortunately enough I don’t think you could find someone to reproduce with you. And even if you adopted as a single person, which is not easy to do, that would still not be the day I just had because I also spent it with my loving spouse.

There is practically nothing you could do that I could not also do, but the day I just had is unavailable to you and likely always will be.

I struck a nerve with you didn’t I lol. Anyway I just got back from the beach where I spent the day with two other families. Between the three families there are 11 children and everyone seems pretty damn happy. Now I’m taking a break and then cooking dinner for the family. Enjoy your day though.

I don’t think male anger is in fact allowed. Angry men are scary. Is it acceptable for men to yell in the workplace in 2024? For men to be violent? It’s not 1955. Male anger has been bottled up quite effectively in most situations for most men.

I believe the research that married people of both sexes are happier is pretty strong overall, any outlier notwithstanding. I’d just add, any survey that depends on self report will have to content with the fact that the average woman is an incredibly powerful self justification machine.

I don't get the fixation on crying. Again, it's like the way girls express emotions are the only valid ways to do it. The most available emotion to most men is anger, not tears. What we're asking boys to do is selectively emote in the way girls do, but not in the easiest manner for them, because it's unacceptable. And I think anger is most available to men for biological reasons, not social, thanks to testosterone. Look at the reports of trans men and how their emotional landscape changes when o…

I just reject the notion that boys are flawed girls who are bad at feelings. We're different. I think the pressure to cry and to emote all the time is actually causing some perfectly normal boys to question what is wrong with them - why can't they feel the way the girls feel? Obviously there's a distribution, and many men feel pressure to keep their feelings in, but the opposite is also true; many boys and men of a more stoic nature now face pressure to let it out.

I bet Grace is a really neutral arbiter of workplace disputes involving men too.

I once knew someone who put her son in a ‘the future is female’ onesie for the first photo she shared publicly just a few days after his birth. I bet he’s loving life right now.

I don’t know what planet it is where women do not burden men with like 10x the emotional support requirement that men put on women, but it is not Earth.

I recently had a colleague tell me that I had to let her know what I made because she was a woman and equity and stuff. I basically said I would tell you regardless comrade, keeping salaries secret hurts everyone and told her. Then it turned out she made more than me, which I had to pry out of her. Equity!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
