Actors recreate presidential debates with genders swapped to prove sexism against Clinton. Audience gives them a surprise. What percentage of the military budget is spent on direct services to soldiers and veterans? | /r/PussyPassDenied | 20/09/17 02:28 PM
| -1 | Actors recreate presidential debates with genders swapped to prove sexism against Clinton. Audience gives them a surprise.A lot of that is the result of perpetual war. I'm all for shoring up services for active duty servicemen and women and veterans, but we spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined. There's a shitload of pork in military contracting, not to mention the pricetag of unlimited interventionism. Economics is about making decisions with finite resources. Putting more money into social services and less into a giant war machine that will inevitably find any reason to make use if its r… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 20/09/17 02:58 AM |
Actors recreate presidential debates with genders swapped to prove sexism against Clinton. Audience gives them a surprise.Oh, for sure. I just think it's hard to determine on this basis what's doing the actual work in upending people's previous impressions. Could easily be a weird combination of both hostile and benevolent sexism. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/09/17 10:20 PM

Actors recreate presidential debates with genders swapped to prove sexism against Clinton. Audience gives them a surprise.Just take the fucking money from the military budget and the rich. Shit, congress just passed a 700 billion defense spending bill this week and is looking to cut healthcare to finance tax cuts for the wealthy. There's more than enough money, it's just all going to a tiny group of people/industries. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/09/17 09:21 PM
Actors recreate presidential debates with genders swapped to prove sexism against Clinton. Audience gives them a surprise.True to a point, but interesting to note that these crowds of academics viewed Trump much more favorably when played by a woman and Clinton much more unfavorably when played by a man. Would be really tough to unravel the different layers of implicit bias going on here (pro left v. right, pro female v. male). | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/09/17 09:17 PM
Apparently Homelessness is only a Problem if you are a Woman.I don't see any inherent reason a shelter wouldn't be able to address the circumstances of each group separately where they are in fact different. If they provide mentorship, family and employment services, etc., I just don't see why those can't be combined or separated where appropriate. I'm also not sure homeless shelters address the issue of danger on the streets, but if they do, why couldn't they address the separate risks? In reality, there's a relatively set amount of funding made availabl… | /r/MensRights | 21/03/17 02:10 AM
Apparently Homelessness is only a Problem if you are a Woman.I'm not mad that women have access to shelters and services - they need them and should have them - but it is a zero sum game as long as you separate the two groups. | /r/MensRights | 21/03/17 01:29 AM
Apparently Homelessness is only a Problem if you are a Woman. That's exactly what it is. Resources are finite. In a circumstance where they're allocated to men or women, but not both, one's loss is the other's gain. | /r/MensRights | 20/03/17 11:31 PM
