I'm really not sure where that idea even comes from. There are a lot of things in Asia that make me appreciate that men in the West have things pretty good in some respects. It's actually absurd how it can get over there. So you can understand my confusion that it's considered otherwise.

Imbalance. My parents don't live together, so I can compare the environments when I live with one of the other. Ultimately, it's imbalance. Anyone that only has one caregiver will suffer from the lack of female or male guardianship which could entail a whole number of things. Simple ones are lack of perspective on dating, puberty, emotional development, etc.

Oh that's good - there are no such values here at a societal level. In NZ, the women here are the "most promiscuous in the world" and it's made pretty clear based off the girls I meet.
