I know I brought some of this on myself, bit at the end of the day, it'll all be worth it to escape a toxic relationship and to finally stop having her blame me for the attempts on her own life. 1st attempt, it was my fault because I complained that it was really difficult to support both of us. 2nd attempt, she was going through a hard time and I she needed to reach out to me over the phone and I wasn't available

Unfortunately, she was jobless for about 2 1/2 years due to medical issues at the time. She is claiming that she was financially dependent on me and wants post separation support, alimony, equitable distribution, and to pay her fees. So she is forcing the lawyer to happen, even though we initially agreed that we weren't

You're correct, no kids, we rented the house as well. We own very little together. My thought process to get through this is that its self defense at this point. Thank you for your advice
