Don't worry about what others say, particularly females. Do what's right for you and enjoy life.

No children and few assets == you are lucky. Once she has a child, you become her mule for the next 20 years and the state will transfer most of your property to her (it's for the well being of the child, lol). The divorce should be cheap and fast. And I hope you've learned your lesson.

Please shows us those posts. Making 500k right out of college is almost impossible. After you have a good deal of money saved (capital), you can invest it to get returns on it. Some ppl start small businesses, others buy properties for rent, and others invest long-term in the stock market. As long as you work for someone else, it's very hard to make it past 150k. But with salary plus returns on investments, it's very possible to make more than that.

"I have worked outside the US for so long" Are you still outside the US? And your spouse? If both are outside the US, then courts have no jurisdiction over you for divorce until one party gains judicial residency in that state (usually living in the state for 3 months, but it varies from state to state). The story/video below should give you a some ideas about how to thrive without going to college. This 24-year-old first-generation American earns $230,000 per year working three jobs: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/19/this-24-year-old-first-generation-american-earns-230000-per-year-working-three-jobs.html

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
