huh. I guess where I went they had a pretty serious one, it sort of ruled all the social life, so I didn't think about the fact that there are schools without one.

That is pretty crazy. Sounds like a very selfish mindset. In a black-and-white kind of way, sure, life is full of suffering, and suicide would indeed end that suffering, but when discussing it in the context of an epidemic, it's much more complex than that. Not to mention the fall out from the suicide itself. It's not quite as simple as she makes it out to be.
