I'm a F, 27. My standards are... Loyalty, always strict monogamy, kindness, intelligence, being family oriented and wanting kids, wittyness and a calm personality are huge pluses. I tend to gravitate towards men in scientific career fields as I'm in that aswell and I enjoy conversing about it. It's not a must tho. I don't tolerate excessive drinking or smoking of any kind, let alone use of illegal drugs. When it comes to looks, I like light eyes, average built bodies (can be a bit chubby, I don'…

And that's exactly what I said in my post. I never said I want someone "emotional" (by your definition), just someone who can emote in a healthy manner. You started to drag in your unclear definition of being an "emotional guy" when that wasn't even mentioned. Being overly emotional and expressing your emotions in a healthy manner are two very different things.

How could you possibly get that from anything I wrote? Ridiculous. I want someone who knows how to process and share emotions in a healthy manner. Repressing those said emotions absolutely isn't healthy - that's a psychological fact. You go through good and bad with your partner, but in order to help them go through bad, they have to - guess what - share those negative emotions. But sure, go jump to completely baseless conclusions about me.

And I said even showing remotion regularly doesn't make you weak. I get the biological/historical aspects of this argument. But my experiences speak completely differently. But sure, you probably know what I like and don't like better than me.

Yup, exactly, people don't like EXTREMES. And showing emotion regularly isn't one of them, not even close. You're acting like women want robots. We do not. If there's no emotion anywhere, there's no point in even having a relationship.

That's not true. Showing emotion isn't weakness. Being needy, clingy, dramatic, making everything out to be a disaster, those are annoying traits. There are exceptions but I never saw any of my friends complain that their boyfriends were weak if they showed emotion. I never thought my exes were weak for showing. It's the opposite - I appreciate that a lot.

You cannot really expect to have a debate with radical people and both groups you mentioned are pretty radical.

Firstly, I would love more empathy and less blaming each other from both sides. A dialogue. While I'm a hug fan od debates and think things can often be made better by talking, I think the old "who has it worse in dating world, men or women?" question is just creating a huge divide, participants often get very emotional and it all turns into something very unproductive and divisive. Second thing I would love is for everyone to be direct about what they want. That would save so much time and nega…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
