On the other hand Trump once took out an ad calling for the death penalty for a group of men accused of rape. It turns out the men were innocent. I'm probably going third-party. I can't get on board with Trump or the GOP in general but I'm over the identity politics and sexism from Democrats.

The most important thing you can do is to be outspoken against the sort of misandry that we see on college campuses today. Men, especially young men in college, live their lives to gain women's approval. Same. I think from a strictly gender equality stand point, Trump would be better. But from a broader egalitarian stance there are some serious concerns with Trump too. I think this will finally be the year I go third party. I almost did it in 2012 but I was in a swing state so I went with Obama again, but I don't think I can bring myself to back the Dems again this year.

I keep hearing feminists say this is because men put pressure on women to abandon their careers and stay home. But IME women put more pressure on men to be the breadwinner than the other way around. I disagree. If the hashtag gets enough attention it could raise awareness of this issue. I think if rape studies are made gender-neutral, then it would make it a two-way street which could put an end to these definitions. I think many countries need more male teachers. But I don't think "making boys men" is a good goal, in fact I think putting extra pressure on boys to man up can be quite harmful. Boys should have good male role models and men should be more welcome in the teaching community, but we don't need boys to "act like men" anymore than we need girls to "act like women"

It's what happened to Brian Banks too. He was 17 years old facing 40 years in prison, his lawyer told him his odds weren't good, so he plead guilty and took the 5 years. The discrepancy between what you could face and what the plea is ends with a lot of innocent men taking a plea rather than risk ruining their entire life. Our justice system is fucked, but since it mostly fucks over men (and especially poor black men), there isn't much rush to fix it.

I do, and one reason I can't support the republican party is because I do think they have a problem with misogyny. But, the tweet replying is right too: The left has an even bigger problem with men's issues. MRAs: If you aren't on twitter, please get on twitter. The candidates don't read every tweet, but their campaigns definitely read some. The more people are tweeting them polite, respectful and informative tweets supporting men's equality, the greater the chance that their campaigns will see it and at least take note that a lot of voters are concerned about these issues.
