1	The 77% wage gap statistic gets thrown around a lot, even though it doesn't take into account any variables, such as job, seniority, or even hours. It's not for the same work. To me, this is flat out manipulative and disingenuous. I tend to fall back on Hanlon's razor for this one: Don't attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity. The 77% stat is 99% about people's inability to read and understand data. The 77% figure is completely accurate, but paints a woefully incomplete picture. It's the median earnings of full time, year round workers 15 years and older. That's all. -1	Saw this in a park in Sydney. Well done for thinking, but It's sad that this doesn't go without saying. I know that "Mother's Rooms" are a thing elsewhere. They're designed to be a spot where women can breastfeed privately. Perhaps this room had to be renamed from "Mother's Room" to "Parent's Room" after women protested men being in there with their wives during a breastfeeding, and that's why fathers are mentioned as welcome on the sign now.	/r/MensRights	07/01/13 02:13 PM
4	Saw this in a park in Sydney. Well done for thinking, but It's sad that this doesn't go without saying. I know nothing about Sydney or this specific situation, but my guess is that this room was called, at one point, a "Mother's Room", and was intended to be a private place in the park for breastfeeding. Mother's Rooms are a thing elsewhere, and it would explain some women's objections to men being in there, as well as explaining why fathers are specifically included on the sign now.	/r/MensRights	07/01/13 02:06 PM
