You're looking for something called a fraternal organization. I'm from the US--some big ones here are the Freemasons, Elks Lodge, Lion's Club, Knights of Columbus (KoC is Catholic only). Some of those have global chapters, and there are probably some that are UK-specific. A lot of them have a bit of a religious tilt, but it varies.

Have you tried looking up anger management classes specifically? If you are hurting yourself and break objects, you should probably see a professional. I would sign up for the university counseling as a bare minimum. Usually the waitlists are just for getting established and then once you've seen someone the first time, you can be seen more frequently. Do you have any outlets for physical energy? Sports, gym, hiking, etc?

How long have you been at that job? The quick fix is probably getting a new job, even if it's just doing the same thing somewhere else. I'd actually recommend doing this sooner rather than later before you burn bridges. Long term fix is, well, exactly what you're doing. Plus making sure to develop a healthy social life and addressing any past traumas etc., But that takes months to years to have a deep effect. Personally I'm a pretty calm person but get burned out with most jobs after a few years…

It has to be some made up word some man-hater cooked up. You should look up the actual history. It's much more interesting.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
