5	The audacity to look shocked Teachers are not ever taught how to step in or break up fights. It is not part of any teacher training. Teachers do not have training about effectively restraining people. If a teacher steps in, they can only use their voice to stop the fight. If they lay hands on a student they run the risk of inappropriately touching a student by accident, accidentally hurting a student, or getting hurt themselves.
