I see. Yes, it was really small, almost cartoonishly - my uncle used it to fix jewelry, back when he tried to get into it - sadly it didn't stick and he abandoned the gig, but the tiny anvil remained.

My uncle wanted to hammer in a nail using the flat part of the shovel, I deemed it a bad idea and instead used a small anvil, as it was closer to a hammer in it's flatness, solid feel and weight. Also, once I had a choice whether to use a shovel or a hoe to get rid of remaining tree roots on my yard. I chose to go buy a hoe instead of using my best shovel. I'm not sure why you're so curious about that topic.

Yes. There's plenty of activities for which shovel is not the right tool.

I don't get your reasoning. I'm a man and I've never been condemned for not wanting to use a shovel. I can pay others to do it for me. Man or a woman.
