And who are committing all of these crimes? Are they men?

It's pretty cheap? Got a source on that? Nothing here is cheap.

Those are just your experiences. I know tons of men who have never worked and don't plan on it. Stop generalizing. We criticize welfare queens all of the time.

I just always hear about it being something women go to men but false accusations of rape happen in other contexts as well. I guess that's best left for another subreddit

Oh wait so innocent until proven guilty goes out the window when the genders are reversed. Excellent. The boys all admitted to lying btw.

What about men who lie about rape? I worked with DSS and I witnessed a lot of teenage boys doing this as a way to get back at female authority figures. I was surprised at how many times it came up. I also feel for those teens as they came from bad home lives. Seems like lying about rape has become the get out of trouble card

I know personally three men who got circumsized who had phimosis and the stretching did not work for them. The procedure was the best choice for them. I think we should still have that available for men who need it. One was my best friend and his phimosis was the worst I have ever seen.

If I don't give someone a kidney and they die that's not my problem. I'm not forced to keep anyone alive with my body. I'm allowed to abort an unviable fetus (one that wouldn't survive outside of the womb) because I'm not forced to keep anyone or anything alive with my body.
/r/MensRights31/12/14 05:45 PM

That's what worries me.
/r/MensRights31/12/14 05:38 PM

Donating a kidney keeps someone alive. Incubating a fetus keeps it alive. You can't force anyone to do either.
/r/MensRights31/12/14 05:38 PM
2

You can't force someone to keep another person alive with their body. You can't force a woman to keep a fetus alive if she doesn't want to just like you can't force a man to give someone else a kidney to keep him alive. We all have bodily autonomy.

You do realize that men and boys sometimes need this done for medical reasons, no? This isn't necessarily a good thing.
/r/MensRights31/12/14 05:10 PM

It's not for elderly people. People under certain incomes can get it as well. I used to work with people who's children with special needs got Medicaid.
/r/MensRights31/12/14 05:09 PM
4

It's wrong to force another person to do something with their body out of your own interests. I can't force you to give me a kidney if I am dying. It sucks for men for having no say and it sucks for women because they are the ones who have to carry children. I had a good friend who died during pregnancy I know first hand what pregnancy can do.

I agree. If you marry someone and for example one of you stay home and raise the kids (as my s.o does) they are missing out on gaining work experience but we are saving a lot by him not working. If we were to divorce, id still want to support him because he sacrificed working for our family.
/r/MensRights31/12/14 04:49 PM

Good point. I make significantly more than my s.o. It's not always the male who makes more. Sake thing happened with my mom and her ex she cleaned her out and drug things out. She lost much of her fortune.

I have no idea what this has to do with men's rights but I'm sorry you lost your gf. I had a male friend get really into camming for other men and it changed him a lot.

How many men do you know pay the majority of expenses for a child? Do you have children? They are tremendously expensive. Average child support in my state is 350 per month and it costs over 1k to raise a kid per month here.

Accepting limitations is part of empathizing with another person. You can put yourself in anyone's shoes. I'm sorry if you personally have issues with empathy but that doesn't necessarily mean others do as well. Some people are better working with and understanding people than others. It's just the way it is, I guess. Empathizing with someone's experiences is hardly equatable to understanding complex science. It may be for you, though, and that is okay. Just understand that for many, empathizing…

And you are perpetuating the erroneous idea that a male therapist is better equipped to help a man and vice versa. That is what I disagree with. It's not about gender or race. Someone shouldn't settle for a shitty male therapist(s) and not try working with women because someone told them online that only men can empathize with men. I think this mindset actually hurts men's rights. You don't seem to understand empathy as it applies in therapy and that is okay. It does mean feeling with. When you …

Why are you calling my words moronic I don't understand why you are being so defensive we are just having a conversation. Just because you personally cannot empathize with someone of another gender or background does not mean that a trained therapist cannot. Think about it. I've been to male and female therapist who had no idea what it was like being a teenage girl and then the best therapist I had ended up being male. There are many therapist to work with male veterans of PTSD of both genders. …

There are thousands of therapists of both genders and it's bad advice for someone to avoid therapists who aren't their own gender and to assume that a woman can't empathize with a males experiences.

Because they can do whatever they want. They are the ones handing out the scholarship. You are trying way too hard to find inequality when there isn't one
/r/MensRights23/12/14 06:08 AM

I am not sure. Many argue that in the USA yes that is absolutely the case. Others don't. I don't know about the UK but I am having touble finding a source that education has favored women for the past 40 years. Either way, providing scholarship for one group certainly does not mean it is discriminating against another. That sounds like feminist think

I don't know why so many users here think women "live" off of that
/r/MensRights23/12/14 05:59 AM
0

Do the majority of men make more than 100k per year? At least around here, the type of trash to have multiple kids and "live" off of child support or the government isn't going for those types of men that can even afford to pay it. I know a guy who owes 2k a month for five kids and doesn't even pay a cent!
/r/MensRights23/12/14 05:59 AM

Isn't that because smoking during pregnancy is a really bad thing for the fetus? Some of the "apps" seem to pander to women as well, perhaps men didn't express an interest in those types of social media interactions. Or there could be other reasons, such as men using different means other than online to quit. We can't assume everything is misandry without critically thinking first. Those mindsets are for feminists

"Living off of child support" isn't a common thing. COL is very high in my state and the average child support payment here is around $350 per child. Unfortunately there is little to no public transportation here and food prices are high as well. That little money per month is hardly anything. There would certainly be no living off of that!

First of all, I am male. It's insane that you assume anyone who disagrees with you is female. I am in a physical therapy program and I used to be a mental health associate at a mental hospital. I have done internships in various settings.

You think wokring with families and people who are end of life or with people who are mentally ill or doing CBT or rapid eye movement therapy with men who have PTSD is a hobby? Wow. I am glad men like you stick to STEM fields- we don't need your types getting in the way of the dirty work. Helping others is a messy business
