| 3 | This double standard infuriates meI know others comments point to various historical reasons, but I'm cut and it has its own historic origin. In WW2, my grandfather was not cut. After he was drafted, the army cut him essentially without giving him any choice. Apparently that left a pretty strong impression on him, and he said no adult should ever have to go through that.
