Early CPR and AED usage is one of them. Both of those are shockable rhythms that AEDs can and do shock in order to “reset the heart”. If you do it early enough (usually in the first five minutes of downtime.) in conjunction with high quality CPR, the likelihood of survival with good cognitive outcome is pretty high. Just do your job correctly, be a professional, and always ask anyone whom you’re taking care of for their permission before you touch their body regardless of sex or gender.
