I think you're reading too much into the question, which could mean different things to different people. I interpreted it as "what qualities are attractive in a partner?", not "what attracts you to someone when you first see them?". That is what my answer was based on. You have been very quick to make a personal attack on me. If you act like that in real life, that may be why you have trouble dating.

While physical attraction and ability to support oneself are important factors, it would be a deal breaker for me if the person was not empathetic and if I could not connect with them on an intellectual level.
