Why improve my situation when I can just lay in bed and blame women?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 06:13 PM

I personally don't think it's a bad thing. Both people should focus on/prioritize looks, especially when choosing a mate you may spend long amounts of time with.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 12:10 AM

All completely fair points.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 12:02 AM

I saw the thread about if any of our beliefs have changed/been affirmed since being here. I'd say I can acknowledge a few things. To balance this out, I'll weigh things evenly for both genders: Observations towards women: - A lot of average women do get looked over/ignored in favor of the hot ones. - If 'Alpha Widow' is a thing, then so is 'Stacy Widow'. I know several 20's/30's+ dudes who have success with one hot chick and now simply can't see themselves with anything lesser than. - When women…

Looking forward to tomorrow's workout and building up the 🍑 Also, food is >>> protein shakes (at least for me). My muscles are soaking up the nutrients like a sponge.

Q4All: If you could have a second boyfriend/girlfriend//husband etc. would you do it? Yes or No? Let's say both of them would be 100% fine with the setup, exactly what you like, no jealousy problems, don't care how you sort your time between them, etc. (Note: This quesiton is for fun only. Please answer the question directly, and don't take seriously.)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/24 09:20 PM

It’s gotten me a few dates I’d say, and a lot of people come up to talk to me. It can be a lot of fun. I also make it a priority to be a great host. I check in on people, make sure they’re having a good time and try to make everyone feel welcome. The exchange is that it can be hard to build deep connections with people because I’m running everywhere. It can be tiresome at times. With that said, I love hosting, and gathering people to have a great time. My goal is to get to a point where I can th…

Hell no lol. I’m visually underwhelming, just assembled a few resources together over the past year. It’s finally starting to bear fruit.

Hosting a NYE gathering tonight. Venue is dropping black/gold balloons at midnight. Should be fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/24 12:08 AM

Gym imo. Because of the following: It forces you to get out of the house You have access to the weights needed to continually progress You may meet a few regulars who you can chat with

I’m a fan of more input-oriented goals because they give you increased odds of getting the outcome you want. I’m also a fan of starting small. Like for example, if losing virginity is one, what if instead we focused on dates being the goal? Then from there, think about the inputs required to get a date. For example, if you use apps, then there are a few things it could be, such as: learning how to take nice pics finding your style/archetype having a few casual convos a week & learning how to ext…

I am taking this time of year to reflect on my goals, the things I've done, the challenges I've faced, and how much I've grown. There's been some good, some bad and everything in between. This year has been a lot about healing, & understanding myself. While that will be lifelong journey, I think I made serious strides here. Also special shoutout to u/NJFlowerChild for linking me to a resource that's helped me come to terms with my past in a healthy way. 2024 will be a year focused on more self-d…

Scenario 4 women : You made lunch for your man one day. He takes it with him and heads off to work. When he comes home, he tells you someone beat him up and took his lunch. Question: Do you still view him the same after this? Yes or no? (Note: Please answer the question directly. Not what your man would/would not actually do in this scenario.)

This is an extremely important point. Your environment can play a dramatic role in dating success. Everything from apps to meet up in bars. You can do everything right and still struggle a bit simply because there’s there’s way more men than women in your area. If I was a single woman looking to settle down, I’d head west where there’s a shortage of women in average and men are more likely to mate guard/commit. For single men who want to maximize their odds, I’d head east where most big cities h…

For the single gents: May you have all the great sex you can handle, workout 3-5x/week, dress as well as you can, take care of your mental health, drink some water, don't let anyone add unnecssary stress to your life, remember women get loney & horny too, read a good book, take that trip, and most importantly - be kind to yourself. You matter. Be blessed.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 03:15 AM

This is why I dislike these rage bait threads/subs like AITA. They're always based on implications & assumptions. You never get the whole story, you never get exactly what was said in the interaction, yet people still proceed to paint a caricature of the parties involved and fill in the gaps based on their past individual experiences. Why? Because they just can't help it, and they eat it up like candy. It's so instinctual it's scary.

Self improvement does work for men. The real problem is accepting that it will take over 90+ days to see noticeable improvements (body, style, hobbies, etc). Since results aren’t immediate, it just gets dismissed as not worth it. Just because you don’t have a cute face doesn’t mean you’re below average in everything else. You may actually be a great story teller, musician, etc. All of those things can be attractive to women in their own way. Pride keeps most men from improving their results. Not…

There are no guarantees. Even still, men manage to find women in all kinds of scenarios. Success leaves clues. So does failures. Trying to place every single woman in a set box is unproductive, and it simply doesn’t work.

Given that almost half of Gen Z and Millennial men haven't approached a woman in the past year, who is pointed towards, exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 08:17 PM

That's just what preying on insecurities does to people. When you say "Women would rather share a chad than get monogamy from an average man" then manufacture an example of that, men pile on simply because it aligns with their fears that being average isn't being enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 09:04 PM

Got to talk to a few of my friends yesterday: One mentioned how she'd kill to find a loyal man. One just got married and is frustrated because she feels like she's raising two kids (her husband & his brother) One is losing her job this month. Just a reminder that women have problems, too.

Good momentum this week: - Bought new meal replacement guides. - Stuck to my diet all the way through this week. - Re-calculated TDEE to measure new calorie intake levels. This one was huge. The activity factors are way too generous. - Created new tracking sheet to monitor weekly average body fat/weight numbers. - Bought a body fat measurer - Got in touch with a good friend to hang out this weekend, and another tomorrow morning. - Planning a day to go scout new venues for social events. - Our li…

I went outside to the gym today and saw three things I simply couldn’t believe: A 6’ 5, tatted, jacked, social man in the gym today. However, there was a problem. He was actually married?! Why would he do that when he has millions of women to choose from?? I saw a baddie with an average guy. Does the guy not know he’s probably being beta buxxed? Several average couples just existing together. None of this can be right. Who do I report this information to?

/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/23 02:59 AM

I truly think if men were more willing to let go of the past, they would give themselves room to become truly special. The time that group of women laughed at you, let it go. Those times you got rejected by every woman you asked out, let it go. The times you got teased/mocked by dudes who did much bette with women, let it go. Sadly, many of your harshest experience like these come in your formative years as you're understanding your identity. As a result, if you don't have the experience of the …

It’s not just 18-24 btw. Millennials are struggling just as bad. Almost half of men overall simply aren’t engaging with enough women to make something happen. There’s been a tidal shift towards an increase in risk aversion. To your point in the second half, I do agree with actually. However, I do think there needs to be more of an overall push for male circles where these issues can be shared, instead of bottling it up until it becomes hatred towards people who did you no wrong.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 05:29 PM

My thread on approaching is going as well as you can probably expect. Turns out most aren’t even trying at all (which is fine) but then to turn around and blame women is very weird.

Sounds like you're just choosing to run instead of face those thoughts head on. For example, it's easy to scroll & reaffirm your current mindset. It's tougher to face your fears and find out the truth. Looks do matter. In addition, most men don't maximize their looks at all. You may look like a completely different man with a better haircut, lower body fat, and new style. However, the only way to know is to do the work to find out.

For the men: There's nothing wrong with enjoying a fun, active sex life before settling down (if that's what you want). If you aren't currently, you may need to build up your sex appeal -- and that's ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 06:44 PM

For sure. I’d agree with that. There was a girl who had a small crush on me once at my heaviest. However, if you want to maximize your dating/sex opportunities, remaining fat usually isn’t a winning formula, unless you’re exceptional in some other capacity.

Only way this changes is if people stop getting on the apps. Most of the women have. Most of the men haven't. These apps are built to make money. Case in point: Have you ever noticed how little they help men improve their profiles? Why don't any of them say "Your profile ranks below average to other men of your demographic. Based on your ranking, we recommend making changes xyz". Yes, this could hurt self esteem temporarily, but it at least empowers those men to see where they can improve. Datin…

Q4All: How do you objectively determine if you're facially below average, average, above average or elite? What's the barometer to determine this? How often you've been hit on? How nice other people are to you? Something else?

/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 01:03 AM

Is this gonna be a problem in the future? Why does this make me happy? Ultimately, that's up for you to decide. I've always been of the belief that water finds its level, and don't see much point in trying to convince someone to not be attracted to something if it's who they are. If you get fulfillment out of your current dynamic, then by all means, continue on. Otherwise, if you want to change, then you'll need to put in the work to expand your horizons - a good therapist can be a starting poin…

The problem is that many people in general usually overestimate the amount of work they think they're actually doing. For example, thinking they're in shape when if they gave a shirtless pic to their trainer, he would actually say you're quite overweight. Or just putting on some new clothes thinking that's enough to be stylish, when they've invested little in ensuring they fit properly, they're tailored, they're establishing some sort of archetype so they stick out. Or talking to a new woman onc…

I got some OLD stats back: - 14 matches. 9,289 incoming 'no's' (women who rejected my profile) - Best face pic is rating 4.7 out of 10 (below average). OLD isn't my only source, but I'm also get a pretty high rejection rate in person (granted most of them are the bf objection). I have some work to do.

I agree with this. Many dudes would drag an average woman along, yet bust it wide open for a Stacy in a heartbeat. To pretend otherwise is delusional. The simple fact is, as always, most people want the best they can get.

I know several men who are sexually successful and juggle a few women simultaneously, and they all say similar things. Red pill is too extreme. It's taken a few truths that have been around forever & repackaged them as revolutionary concepts. The 'harsh truths' aren't really that harsh. Most people want the best they can get. It's that simple. The 'chads' are as sexually successful as you think they are. However, all of them don't want to play the field. Some do get married. The 'chads' also are…

One of the things I appreciate most about my gym routine is that I can see it in advance. When I see the hard work coming, I can feel my body immediately pulling back, and asking myself "Do we HAVE to do this?" -- all the feelings of wanting to run away. Yet when the day comes, I tackle them head on because the reward is so much greater than a better body. It's staying committed to the hard things, even when you don't feel like it. Bitter is an interesting word. I'd say it's a bitterness towards themselves that gets projected onto the men/women who had successful experiences when they were younger. The reality is that, as much as we may hate it, everyone is socialized differently. Most average people have average lives, and generally find people to date/have sex with in their 20's, etc. For those who don't, it can be for a whole host of reasons: - No dad at home to learn from - No access to other men who are doing great wi…

For me, it sounds a bit naggy. Mostly because I'm more of a 'sufficient but not perfect is ok' kind of person. So I'd have a very short fuse for someone like this. With that said, they are married - and ultimately it's on them to navigate this in a way that's fair for both parties. Working and managing a newborn is no joke. Hopefully they figure it out soon. They're going to lose some sleep for a while.

Yes, it's sometimes very cruel and painful, but that's only if we let it consume us. In order to hit the ball, you have to swing, even when you strike out.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 11:10 PM

Why do I believe this ? Besides personal observations, every time I have been up front and honest with a woman how I feel about her or what I want from her and get rejected , the woman in question has respected me for being honest and up front, and their opinion of me as a person increased from that point on. Say it louder for the people in the back. It's better to just be upfront. Yes you may still get rejected, but you'll always be respected for having the balls to make your interest known.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 06:52 PM

100%. It's worth it under the right context. Therapy on it's own doesn't do much if you aren't willing to change. The point of it is to help you process things in a healthier way, as well as challenge old, harmful stories you've believed about yourself. You don't need to be under therapy forever. It's just a great resource to have for the times you do need it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 12:03 AM

It just sounds like regular dating, man. I would focus more on your own self awareness. Let's assume these women have enough options to not waste their time with ugly men. There was something she liked about you. The only way for her to confirm this is to go on a date with you. If it works out, great. If not, no worries. Chemistry is a tricky thing, and it can't be forced. Just keep going on more dates, and make time to reflect so you can see where you can improve. You got this.

So as a guy, it is rather pointless to even bother approaching if the ladies have already made up their minds within a first few seconds whether or not that man is a "potential" prospect. Well, yeah. That's how this works. Not every woman will find you attractive. No one woman will find you attractive if you never make your presence known. How can women control a dating market? /r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 06:29 PM

It would involve a considerable amount of networking over a few months, and the right capital for a venue. Main thing to nail would def be making sure the women were properly incentivized to participate. The rest of the crowd would follow. I'll have to think on it more.

I actually agree here. I'm a part of a self improvement forum and you'd be surprised how many men want hotter women after they start getting some success. Almost every single time they get some traction, the new goal becomes to sleep with baddies - the same woman that most men want if they had the choice. The ironic part is how few actually talk about their plans to level themselves up to break through the competition required to get with that caliber of woman to begin with. It truly is a sight …

Gym bunnies are my kryptonite. I talk to several. Got to go on a date with a few. I have a high admiration for the discipline & work ethic. Obviously, their bodies are quite sexy. /r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 11:23 PM

Two things: I've noticed quite a surge in threads regarding scenarios where said thing rarely happens. - Are people really discussing on the first date how many people they've had sex with? - Or who slept with who first at what time? First thing I want to say is that you're not alone in feeling this way. There are a lot of men out there who I'm sure are going through similar things. I know very social people who are still single. I know anti social people who are taken. Ultimately in order to find someone, you need to engage with people in whatever capacity you can to increase your likelihood of success. A great social life is not a guarantee that you'll find someone. Like anything in life, there are things you can do to improve your odds of success, but guarantees are impossible to make.

I don't really put those in the same area, it's just that those things wreck my progress. When I eat a good bit of sugar, my cravings get borderline unbearable. Of course rejection isn’t consequence free. You either use it to improve or let it consume you. Rejection keeps apart what isn’t meant to be together. If you’re being rejected 100% of the time, then the only common denominator is you. I want to have quality sex/relationships with women. I also know I’m very unlikely to get approached. So I’m willing to risk rejection to get what I want. Rejection is just a normal part of pursuing what you want in life. P.S. There’s also good sides to this. For e…

I don't think it's really hard for women to admit they care about looks because everything shows they do. There is no shortage of studies that support the fact that the importance of physical attractiveness runs almost even between men & women. Yes "Women love with their ears and men with their eyes" isn't true. It never was true. Now let's ask the real question... Since we know that looks DO matter, what are we willing to do to make the most out of what we have?

Being upfront and expressing yourself in sexually respectful way sure does make life easier. One thing I notice is that most women (I interact with at least) expect it and are open to it if they’re feeling you. May as well lean into it and go all in. Life can be beautiful when you try to improve. Go be great today 🤘🏾

So because they’re average height & weight, had sex with a few men, and developed “masculine” traits, they don’t deserve a relationship? This is an incredibly weak argument. Just sounds like this just bitterness.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/23 07:01 PM

This brings up a good question. Did anyone ever agree on who represents ‘Chad’ in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/23 06:58 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 11:35 PM

I think there are pros and cons to it like most things. Just be polite & respectful. Worst that can happen is you blow out (like she yells at you or brushes you off), but it will open up your opportunities.

Another woman told me I was hot today. I'd never thought I'd be here this fast - especially when I still have so much to improve on like my style, social stuff, etc. However, I guess it just goes to show what can happen when you see things through. 1.5 years ago, I was extremely overweight, anxious, depressed and dealing with the repercussions of a childhood I wouldn't wish on anyone. Now, with enough hard work, dedication, faith & belief, fantasies are becoming a reality. I'm grateful to have m…

Confidence can be gained. First, on a fundamental level through your values & what you stand for. Next, by setting goals & accomplishing them. This doesn't always mean massive goals. It also means doing the little stuff you said you'd do. Finally, it can be gained through sheer endurance. The more you accomplish, the more your confidence grows. However, goals aren't always reached on day 1. Sometimes they take weeks, months or years. It can be gained, but you must put in the work to cultivate it…

If there’s one thing my coach is drilling into me is this. Body fat matters significantly for your looks. A lot of the men he knows who kill it with women are ~15% bf (the healthy bmi range for men). You don’t need to be in world-class shape for dating/sex but success leaves clues.

Why should the advice be the same? Also how to we know women aren't telling other women to hit the gym if they wanna improve their attractiveness?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/23 08:15 PM

Most men aren't hitting the gym either. Nor are they fit. Nor are they healthy. Most of America is overweight. So is the argument that average women's expectations are getting out of hand, and that average men can't get average women because they want the elite men?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/23 05:37 PM

I agree with this. The reality is, you're probably competing against other messages at the same time. Best thing to do would get to get the number a lot sooner (because of what trynabtrad is saying) & it helps isolate attention a bit more towards you.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/23 05:31 PM

Okay, so women aren't entitled to be attractive or desirable at 40+. But 40 year old men are entitled to virgins and 20-something. That's today's lesson. Yes. If y'all can just not come out of the house when you pass 40, that would be great. /s

Unfortunate truths that make life better: - Chads have it better than you think, and worse than you think. - Many average/below average men can become their own 'chad' version, if they let go of chad and focus on their own growth. - You probably have above average traits. Men like attractive, fit women. - Everyone wants the best they can get, and they will try to get it. - Nobody owes anyone any…

Men can only learn and improve by working on themselves. That's the exact process. You can only look better physically by going to the gym. You can only get better in conversations by speaking to other people. You can only get a better career if you're willing to obtain the skills for said career. The bottom denominator here is effort. All of these things require effort. Dating women also requires effort. Approaching, going on dates, flirting, etc. A crap ton of inputs to create a chance at gett…

If you're a late bloomer, that's ok. Don't let anyone shame you for not having your fun earlier in life. All kids don't grow up equally. This means some reach certain 'finish lines' much faster than others. With that said, don't be upset with those people who don't understand why you haven't done certain things at a certain time like everyone else. They've lived a different life, and that's no one's fault. Instead, spend that time doing what you want to do, and being true to you. You don't owe a…

These n count threads are inflammatory. Primarily because they don't solve anything. Men - Already faced with social pressure to be sexually experienced. (Huge source of psychological ED btw) Women - Already pressured to be chaste so they're taken seriously as a partner It would be one thing if the threads were about positive ways to break from these social pressures, yet it never is. Absolutely. The challenge is, negativity is a spiral. It’s easy to get stuck when those thoughts consume you. As long as you can find a way to move forward so you can carve a new path, that’s what matters most.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 12:33 PM

Amen. It just goes to show how much we’re socially conditioned to have our entire lives figured out by 30. When te reality is, we spend most of our lives outside of our 20’s.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 12:28 PM

I do it. It works on those who are interested, doesn’t work in those who aren’t. I don’t fault a man for taking initiative when the opportunity presents itself (as most women don’t approach, so he has to, otherwise he’ll risk being single/sexless for a long time).
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:48 AM

It doesn’t matter what age you are, you can change. You’re not doomed, you just have to trust yourself enough to try. Anything worth getting is worth fighting for. Even if you didn’t have a great childhood, your path is not set in stone. You can grow.

As a late bloomer myself, this is a bit of a fatalistic view. I do agree that those years are super vital, however, every child doesn't grow up the same way. Most go on to follow the standard timeline of life super fun life in the 20's, kids in late 20's/30's, settle in then go from there. For those of us who grew up on the other side of the tracks, (from broken homes, marriages, etc.) things don't quite play out the same way. While other kids were off having fun, you were probably still dealing…

At least for me, it of course started with motivation. I lived most of my life very overweight, and I wanted to fell confident in my skin for once. The women part obviously played a part. It was apart of my initial motivation, but that faded quickly. After 90+ days in, you really begin to face the true reasons why you're in the gym. Yes, looking good is a plus. However, I've also learned that it does loads for my mental health/self confidence. It also helps you build character. Getting up early,…

All of this could be avoided if everyone was just upfront about what they want. If you wanna sleep around, just do that. If you want a relationship, just do that. Not true. I'm a part of a forum with men who coach other men on how to do just that. The problem is, they don't let anyone wallow in bitterness & anger, so degrading women isn't allowed. They're clear it's going to take some hard-ass work with no guarantee of results. I think PPD threads would be 100x more productive if everyone was just honest what they’re after. If you want casual sex, just say that so we can discuss action steps to make it happen. Same for relationships. I think this would add a new dimension of discussion. I also think we should still consider the self improvement thread idea, where people can submit what they’re trying to improve and get community feedback.

I think overall, there's just way less of a need to settle down, and the social pressure to do so has dropped significantly. Everything around us moves exponentially faster than we used to. People are becoming more independent and putting their needs first. A spouse isn't needed. These are good things. As a result, marriage & birth rates are plummeting. This is good. I think people should start being true to themselves and going after what they want. Whether that's casual sex, dating or marriage…

I don't think broke men ruined dating, as many broke men have, and will always, be successful with dating. I also don't think simply out earning someone is enough to qualify as stepping up. I think one of the main things that's changed has been women gaining equal financial/social freedom, and with that came different expectations. These aren't the days of old anymore. Let's call it for what it is: People have access to potential mates at a level that I honestly think our internal biology wasn't…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/23 09:32 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 10:09 PM

I think a self improvement thread would be a solid addition here. Like a “Self improvement Saturday” where people can submit their details and what they’d like help with. Then people can give actionable insights to improve.

If every woman looks the same way, then the problem much more likely that you're viewing them with the same lens. Instead of presuming they find you disgusting, why not approach them and see if it's true? It's easier to avoid the anxiety by assuming no woman wants you to approach them. It's much harder to face your anxiety & discover the truth.

Human nature is hypocritical, ugly and not meant to be logical. The sooner you accept this, the sooner you will free yourself from constantly questioning human behavior. I'm someone who's lived most of his life without confidence. The only thing that fixes it? Doing what you're afraid of and achieving goals. Yes, early conditioning from supporting parents is always valuable. For many, that's enough to build a solid foundation. However, just because you didn't have that doesn't mean you can't build it. Confidence is built through effort, not the outcome (you can't control that).
