The only time an individual needs to cite sources is if they're making a claim for something that will be published or board reviewed. citation needed

Phones companies are regulated as utilities, you've already voted for it. Does the government control what you say on the phone?

Yes, but it wasn't always like that. Telcos and power companies are private companies, but they are heavily regulated as utilities. The major social networks can be regulated in the same manner.

Anyone on the planet can build a telephone network, anyone on the planet can build a power plant. Why should we regulate them as utilities?

And, I'm just telling you how it can work differently. At what point should Facebook and Twitter be regulated like as utilities like telcos?

So you think it was wrong when that gay couple tried to force the baker to make them a wedding cake?

Do they need to apply the T&Cs the same to everyone? Also, CVS is a private company can they refuse to the morning after pill to someone as long as it is in their terms and conditions?

So what you're saying is they should be able to discriminate as they please, because they are a private business?

I know he was joking, what I meant was that I was not putting forth argument.

http://www.mentalhealth.va.gov/docs/mst_general_factsheet.pdf This says 1 in 4 women and 1 in 100 men, but that is only those who reported it during a VA screening. http://www.military.com/daily-news/2015/05/01/military-sexual-assault-reports-increased-11-percent-last-year.html Keep in mind the numbers below are only for 2014 A major finding in the Rand survey based on statistical projections from raw numbers estimated that 10,600 military men and 9,600 women were victims of sexual assault last …

What was the opinion?
/r/MensRights23/02/16 06:47 PM

There was no logic, I wasn't making an argument either way, just stating the facts.
/r/MensRights23/02/16 12:53 PM

Uh no, absolutely not, they look at all measures available. Either way, I was just stating what the facts are, I was not making a value judgement either way or saying men getting assaulted is a bigger problem than women getting assaulted. I think 1/3 of women getting assaulted is a horrible stat. Maybe this says a lot about society or me, but I am more surprised about the 1/8 of men, and I figured some other people may be surprised as well. I am not a men's rights activist, I think I saw thread …
/r/MensRights23/02/16 12:52 PM

1 in 8 males in the US military have been sexually assaulted, 1 in 3 females have been sexually assaulted. There are over 5 times more men than woman in the military, so the total number of men being assaulted is higher than women. Most of them being assaulted by other men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
