Beginning stagesOk, so no moving out until I lawyer up and arrange things. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 07:25 PM
Beginning stagesFuck no. I’m in Maryland and even though it’s a fault state, apparently any alimony will be temporary and child support is not affected by adultery. She would need to prove any money spend on the affair, which wouldn’t be much and hard to prove anyhow. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 05:54 PM
Beginning stagesI think you missed the fact that it happened 2-3 years ago. We have tried therapy and just about everything under the Sun. I’m in a fault state. It however doesn’t do anything for alimony or child support. I admit my mistake. I’m not worried about the financials. I just can’t be in this toxic relationship anymore as it’s not good for the mental health for her and I and most importantly the kids. We both come from divorced parents and I would hope she will be amicable but we’ll see. By no means w… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 05:50 PM
Beginning stagesYah it was me in the affair. I regret it, but as much as I felt forced, I was in the wrong. I’m mixed and she’s Caucasian. Let’s just say the kids are all mini-mes. When she’s out with just them, people assume she adopted. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 05:12 PM
Beginning stagesThanks my man. Yah I’m currently monitoring the boards for advice and putting lines out there with some friends. Personally I don’t know of anyone who has gone through divorce but I’m definitely feeling it out. I work in a trade where unfortunately or fortunately we have a high divorce rate for some reason. Thanks mate. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 05:00 PM
Beginning stagesOh I know I’m fucked. Just wondering what my best options are based on the situation. I’m really lost here. Like I don’t even know how to begin. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 04:54 PM
Beginning stagesHeh they are. Definitely no denying this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 04:48 PM
Beginning stagesBy no means donI want to, but I guess I’m basing my assumptions from other divorced dads. If I have to leave and pay child support, how could I afford a 3 bedroom place. Wouldn’t the court require that to have overnights? I always felt the courts lean towards the side of the mom. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 03:06 PM
Beginning stagesI didn’t mean by neglect but I’m assuming here, if I can only afford a 1 bedroom apartment, won’t they court not allow me to have them overnight? | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 03:03 PM
Beginning stagesYes correct im 37. I do believe I can do better without her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 03:03 PM
Beginning stagesI get that, just seeing if anyone has a similar experience and kind of give me a heads up of what I’m walking into. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 02:29 PM
