Now that I've watched episode 15, my first thought is how horrible it was, is, for women. My second thought was how horrible it is for men. First: bad for women. I would hate to think that the women I know and love, as the character Dr McKay says "do you know what it's like to be afraid . . . imagine if you felt that way every day from half the people that you meet. Because that's every woman's life." The character Dr. Cassie McKay said that. I have a hard time believing that. I don't want to be…

LOL! I've been out of the U.S. one time, to do laundry. While canoeing the Boundary Waters in Minnesota I let my ex-wife do the laundry. Upon returning to the laundry mat I discovered the machine was overfilled and didn't run. The place was closing in one hour so I fished the unwashed soaked clothes out and we visited Thunder Bay, Ontario. Nice place at midnight in a laundry mat. Hope to visit all of Canada one day, without a wife.😄

A list of common emotions includes: sadness, happiness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust. Of those emotions, are there any that women would not like a man to express? If so, who is lacking emotional intelligence?

It seems to me like men are being forced into a narrow path. Too far this way and your toxic, too far the other way and your not assertive enough. It's the same with emotions! The problem is that the narrow path is different for every woman. It's difficult to be emotionally intelligent, follow the path, if the path isn't marked and consistent. It would be nice if we could all be accepted for who we are and not who others want us to be.

No, no, no! In college I rented one of two apartments owned by an elderly couple. They refused to rent to female students because, in their experience, girls were messy. My son, 38, is messy. His home looks like a college dorm. He made the assertion that girls kept their homes cleaner than boys. My daughter took exception to that. She reminded him about who cleaned and did laundry when they were growing up - - - their father.

I taught 13 year olds and I believe the propensity for good and bad is equal with girls and boys. Perhaps one difference is adults propensity to listen. Most of education, especially middle school, is comprised of females. While I've known many women teachers who communicate well with both boys and girls, there is little doubt that education would benefit from more men in the classrooms. As to the post, first I would tell that person to develop a relationship with those boys. Not an adversarial …

Not just pretty but a statistical genius to boot.

There is nothing wrong with a female-centric theme! I'm sure that much of the media I consume leans towards gynocentric. But sometimes it goes too far. I would sincerely regret offending you or any woman and don't, intentionally, do that. I, too, have been offended by misogynistic media. I hope you can understand, and see, that there's misandric media out there too .

I agree! But I did feel that they (the middle aged man and the black woman) showed a little sympathy. In context it didn't disturb me like Chicago Med often does.

Just finished episode 14, episode 15 is coming out Thursday (4/10/2025). I'll answer two of my own questions, subjectively and biased: Was I overly sensitive? I think so, after watching 1 - 14 I felt that real issues were handled fairly. Is it misandric? Perhaps a little but, overall, I'd say no. Is this typical of a real ER in a metropolitan area? This one I can't answer. Is it? I highly recommend watching the show! I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to episode 15 and season 2. I'm still inte…

Well shit! Think I'm going to pull out my winter backpack, load it with 40 kilograms of bricks and walk around town.

As much as I would like to flee the sexist (male and female), authoritarian, imperialistic, war mongering, isolationist, demagogic . . . . (just bad) country I live in, I don't think the UK is better. Where does sanity, compassion, egalitarianism, respect and the desire for peace exist? I want to go there!

25 years of marriage, 25 years of cunnilingus, 0 years of fellatio. Her desires and choices, not mine. BTW, what's it like???? Hope to find out someday!

I hope there is a future! And, I hope it is male and female egalitarian!

Tired of hearing "set . . boundaries!." Just another dog-whistle encouraging extreme behavior and views and discouraging understanding and acceptance.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
