So you believe that, for example, working as a sex worker is better than being unemployed or a janitor? Sure, all those careers are discouraged, but are they equivalent?

I agree with you on this, but why do you think it's being promoted as such by so many progressive people? Even moderate democrats and libertarian republicans.

Money itself was rare in the past. Ironically we are returning to that because we don't "buy" with money a wife anymore, nor pay the best men to marry our daughters, and yet we use other symbols of status (such as having a job, looks, etc.) as part of the exchange, and family still has a good say on that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 09:39 PM

You created a strawman of monogamy. Also such kind of toxic relationships can also surge among friends, parent-child relationships, and even among boss-worker relationships.

But if sex work is a work as any other, with its risks and benefits, it should be shown as such. Promoting it does not mean hiding the harshness of it, just as the Army recruits students but dying is a very real possibility in that job.

I find it odd they always say that prostitution is the oldest job in the world when even taking fruits and hunting was more fundamental to survive than sex exchange, and those jobs are still around. Seems like a stretch and anachronistic view of sex work, besides we also had slavery and that does not make it right.

But to be fair, sex is a big deal. By making it a product it kinda takes out the magic and mystery of it, explaining the porn brain phenomenom.

It's all the same family of "entertainer" hedonistic jobs and other morally questionable work in moral gray areas. I agree that sex work is not the only work in that category, but clearly sex work being called "acceptable" is a kind of gaslighting. It's the same kind of gaslighting as rich people talking about how easy it is to just work and become rich.

Educating about sex work is as valid as educating about responsible sexuality. In fact it would be helpful because it would help students check on the tradeoffs.

Yes, they are not ideal, and yet they are promoted for rehabilitation of people who have issues with society. They see them better than just being unemployed, while I don't see anyone encouraging female ex convicts to join prostitution. At worse they accept them dancing in a street club.

That's actually a good point. Maybe the problem is not the sex work itself as much as how it will limit their daughter/sister/auntie to find a good partner.

They do treat us as taboo, even those who claim to accept it as a normal job. For example, they would not promote it to their daughters.

I never go the point of breaking up "sexual taboos" to just create other taboos that are even worse and more ambiguous.

So you agree that we should encourage or at least present it as an option as any other job, including to teenagers trying to find a career, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 09:24 PM

You are comparing the worst case of monogamy to the best case of polygamy. No, loving couples are not that controlling and toxic, and if they are like that it suggests there is a lack of trust and commitment. There is nothing more fulfilling that having someone looking up for you, and you don't find such kind of love when you are just a number in a polyamorous group, which usually deforms into some individuals loving some more than others. This is also why polyamorous people are usually so ugly …

Agreed, but I'd argue women are not as visual as men. Let me explain. We can see the behavior that both genders specialize on to get a partner. Women leverage this by using makeup and clothes to enhance looks... men leverage their attraction by driving sport cars, dressing rich (rather than just "well"), getting buff, and other symbols of status that are usually harder to fake than just drawing a face with makeup. Even "lookmaxing" men rather focus on muscle and face proportions, over fashion or…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 08:58 PM

I don't get why women have this disgust for sex work and at the same time sell it as a career as valid as any other. They say that it's work, but if you try to sell that job to high schoolers they get very mad.

Assuming there is some exclusivity, and no social stigma as it's not usual prostitution, it seems a win-win.

Over one-third of women (36.7%) report having been diagnosed with depression in their lifetime compared with 20.4% of men. https://mhanational.org/resources/depression-in-women/ Yet a recent major national survey indicates that married women are much happier than unmarried women. It seems marriage makes both men and women happy: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/5-types-of-people-who-can-ruin-your-life/202403/is-marriage-good-or-bad-for-women But don't get me wrong... if you marry the wron…

Not everyone has a fetishe for personality or humanity. Plenty of men consume porn and enjoy it fully without the porn actress being a partner. A fleshlight may be enough for some men, but maybe they enjoy a more wholesome experience with a body. Maybe they have a fantasy for dead bodies and it's actually better to fuck a doll than a body, isn't it?

Just saying that it has some advantages, specially for below average looking women who may not find men their own age attracted to them, but may find old men are interested in them. For a woman that is looking for a partner and may lose fertility soon, that is a good deal. It's all just sex market pricing. You lose in a thing, but can go wider for another and still win. Humans always adapt.

In my experience, men are more lonely because they can. A cacti is not "happier" with more water.

No random internet woman is that valuable to pay a flight for. It may as well be a scam, we may not be compatible, etc. It's stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:15 PM

So you are lesbian?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:13 PM

No, most young women are not doing any such thing I never claimed it's most young women, but it's more common for young women to date older than young men to date older women. Maybe it would change if older women were more open to date younger, but they prefer to date their own age, even when men their own age are almost all taken.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:12 PM

Fair point, but I guess the contract could be written to prevent such abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:10 PM

And I never suggested age gaps relationships should be encouraged, and here you are in a forum of heterosexual relationships telling men to find "a young guy" because your argument is shit.

AI sex robots don't need to feel like women. They can have tentacles, new textures, etc. and be 10x better, just as women prefer unnatural vibrators.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:06 PM

you would never be able to afford it I mean, it will be cheaper than women. Porn already is cheaper and women feel bad when their husband watches it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:06 PM

We wouldn't need men to self-servingly beat us over the head with how awesome it is to have an age gap relationship LOL literally no one is doing that. Men naturally like young women, and young women often have no problem dating old men (whatever it is for self interest or not, he gets sex she gets money, win-win). Only people obsessively talking about age gaps are menopause women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:55 PM

^_^ Loser Women using homophobia when losing an argument is so fun to watch.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:54 PM

Of course everyone wants a young hot partner healthy, duh. The problem for women is that young men are usually broke or losers or have an addiction or don't take commitment seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:49 PM

Yep. It's taboo to admit it, but some women do have kinks for abusive men. I get the case they cannot leave a relationship, but... waiting years for the guy to get out of jail, or getting a new guy with similar violent trends, proves she is attracted to that kind of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:48 PM

True. Men rarely will take care of a woman that does not give anything bad. At least she should cook good food if she wants to stay being the queen.

Dating events suggest women are more desperate for relationships than men, tho.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:46 PM

Dudes are unhappier being single than women are. Weird, considering that dating events are full of desperate women rather than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:45 PM
1

Is that a bad thing? I mean, if the guy gets sex, and she gets money, it's still a win-win. Men do value love, but they also value the next best thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:44 PM

As long as the men are getting what they want (sex), that may be cheaper than a prostitute long run, so it's not abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:44 PM

Well, women don't like sex that much, so who cares?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:42 PM

The cost of fucking and catering to a old man is too high a cost for the money. Paying for a woman's vanity is even more costly for men (makeup, clothes and other microplastic trash for women to keep drawing their fake face), and old men can afford it the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:42 PM

Age gaps are actually narrowing. Considering that young men are 2x more likely to be single than young women, that only applies to marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:41 PM

Probably has to do with blue collar men being more likely to be married than richer autistic office workers.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:40 PM
2

Depends on the guy. If the guy keeps the hair, is not fat, and keeps some muscle, he is probably doing well with women regardless, but he must have other things like money or a job. Men are more visual.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:39 PM

Old men are wrinkly and have worse sperm quality and are less healthy So? Not everyone is planning having kids, also sperm quality is not as risky as an old womb.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:37 PM

Why do you believe most men are simp? Men seducing women and seeking them is not simping. Simping is doing all that without anything back, no relationship, commitment or interest from her. Trying and finding she is not interested, and moving on, is what normal men have always done.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 09:17 PM

Simps are just horny desperate men who highly invest don't get anything from that investment, and they are unaware they are being taken advantage of. Humans naturally treat attractive people better, even people in their same gender. It also increases social status to have beautiful friends, and it opens the door to further relationships with beautiful people.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 08:19 PM

Are you sure?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 08:14 PM

Weird. No one in this specific comment thread is talking about fucking. Find a better therapist or take higher dose of Zoloft.

Your Statistics say that people in age gap relationships may change their mind and just... leave? Good, that means it's not a big deal for them.

Age gap relationships are more often an advantage to women, even more so they are for the elder men: Older men are more likely to be established, have wealth and stable job, which women seek in partners. There is a natural mutual desire between older men and younger women. Women often prefer to date older men, and men also mature later in life. Men also prefer to date younger women. Younger men are on price discovery mode, so they may not be as ready for relationships or may be too desperate for…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 02:38 PM

We had to move to a more proggie school district to avoid the little monster christians who loved to use their religion as an excuse to abuse. You don't have any problem voting to import people from the most disgustingly homophobic and mysogynistic cultures, tho. Then complain streets are not safe for women, LOL.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 02:36 PM

Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with women wanting to find a partner that is well established and successful, and better than other men. That's not the inconsistency, in fact that's a good thing that women have standards and keep men motivated to contribute, and female selection is what keeps every species evolving. Men also respect women who are honest about this. But capitalism thrives in competition too, and therefore these women are feeding a system that they claim to hate by choo…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 02:20 PM

I noticed that the most "progressive" and "accepting" people are quite nasty using shaming tactics with racist, homophobic and classist arguments. This is specially true for progressive women. Women love to hate capitalism, but they love guys with money. Women love to import foreigners, but they rarely want to date them, and even feel uncomfortable around them. Women love to vote for equality but don't actually expect it for issues such as paying 50/50 for a date, even if the date is a failure. …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 01:32 PM

Women preach progressive values but throw them to trash just for the sake of winning an argument or making a point.

The regulation people like trump want for the US is an all white ethno state which is discrinatory in nature. There is no evidence that's the goal of republican party or MAGA. In fact they won by creating policy for policy for the benefit of the growing American-Hispanic community, which is why they won, while Democrats still focus on importing fresh migrants that will be loyal to them only because they opened the border, even at the cost of legal migrants and natives.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 01:51 PM

Or it represents how ultra rich ethnic supremacists treat others. It would be like saying Iranians are evil because the leadership is.

(1) There is nothing I can do about what some men do in another side of the world (2) I cannot care about what other men do in other side of the world. (3) I don't identify as "all men" so I don't feel the need to defend my gender or women from it. (4) Literally not my problem. Not in a cruel way, but neither are men dying in Ukraine or Iran women's problem.

Why don't women fix their own issues choosing better partners or none at all instead of moaning and whining all day? That would also be wonderful.

They are entitled to regulate migration, so should Americans. You probably mean a few European countries, Japan, and Anglo countries with "the world", tho. Most of the world is a shithole, not the set of your romantic films.

Only men from dangerous countries, and specially illegal migrants. There is no reason to import people if they are going to be unsafe and even rely on welfare instead offering something useful to the host country. But women, in their fake empathy, rather push for open borders and then complain local men don't want to "put in place" those men. B*tch, local men want the borders closed and you vote to open them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 04:05 PM

Pretty sure women love to vote to import men from those cultures, and then complain they feel unsafe in the bus.

There is nothing men can say to stop rapists. Good men can stop them, but there is the police for that, and no, I would not be stabbed and bled to death defending random women.

You know what kind of guys don't care about rejection and keep trying until they find a girl? Psychopaths and people high on drugs. No emotions in the context of rejection means success, so again, good polite guys will always lose.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 03:55 PM

What's wrong with using dating apps? It's the only way women don't feel "harassed" by a guy. In real life women feel raped by just finding you are looking at them.

Male gays love sex so much that the demand is still up, but heteros are not going to clubs if they aren't getting fun. That's also why lesbian bars are extinct.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 03:51 PM
1

Most people seem to go to clubs as couples or groups of friends, rather than meeting new people. The music is too loud for any significant conversation. Clubs made sense for people who went to school or had friends and wanted to escalate the relationship, but today there are not really many spaces to make friends beside work (who are usually older people or people with families).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 03:49 PM
