1	Double standards I referred to it as internalized misogyny, which is the unconscious misogynistic behaviour or attitudes displayed by women themselves. So, yeah. It is sexist to think that you can hit someone because of your gender. We seem to agree, the only problem really is what ideological name we give the argument. 1	Double standards Buddy, the point here is that it's both! He shouldn't be expected to man through abuse, at all! No one should, and yet there are shockingly few resources for men who are abused. Most men don't even speak up about it because of the pressure placed on them to be the strong ones. The realization here is that women can be strong, so men don't have to be. 3	Double standards Yeah man, it's fucked. No one should hit people. Girls who do that, do it because they think they're inherently weak because they're girls, therefore if they can hurt a man it means he's weak, or a pussy or something. But that's bullshit. Especially if you tell her clearly that it hurts and you don't like it, and she keeps doing it? That's a huge red flag. 3	Double standards That's a really good point. I wonder... fellas, why would you not fight back if a woman or girl hit you first? Why would you not defend yourself? Who taught men that they should never ever hit a woman under any circumstance? Was it.. feminists? Or was it the adults in your lives as a kid? Men and boys are taught never ever to hit woman because even today, we act like women are frail and weak. This isn't true.
