I think I once saw a documentary about the Dominican Republic (me thinks) where pretty much all dudes are super lazy and just drink booze all day. Women who want a family are then forced to provide for a kid and for the father as well pretty much. Doesn't really compare to western society though I guess .
No I do not and I also did not in the above comment. What I said was that these articles are not prove that men's issues are a big discussion in the field of academic feminism. Also I am a researcher myself and you really should not get such a boner for peer review alone.
First paper is about black men only and second paper has only a little more than 200 reads. I don't think that these prove that men falling behind is a major issue for academic feminism. But even if it were (and i readily believe that there exist papers on that topic with much more traction) it sure does not appear to be an issue for most feminists outside of academia.
You need to read about heuristics. Humans sort out complex information using heuristics and by doing so, they sometimes make mistakes. But still they are right in the majority of situations.
