Its influencers that propagate a version of masculinity that disencourages productive coping with feelings, while encouraging goals that are empty for many (muscles, money, material etc.). Its public role models that do the same. Thats toxic masculinity and the way it ties into it, is that it makes people unhappy and as we all know, hurt people hurt people.

Ive experienced women being violent myself, I am aware of its existence and also the consequences it has even though I am „physically not in the same danger“. Im not on about anything. I think many men are not doing very well in this society and realizing that is an important step to taking the right action. I dont really understand the consequences that people in this forum and related communities draw from that realization though. So I ask questions about the points where I draw different conclusions or about parts of the logic that dont make sense to me.

So your idea is the same, but you have a problem with the term being connected to masculinity. From what I know the reason for that is the point I made in the OP about it being mainly designed by those historically in power which were white males. Do you have a different perspective on that?

Good to know. I think its important to be self-critical in a movement and to try not to repeat mistakes one wants to overcome. I understand the new rule was a direct reaction to misandric posts and so you probably wanted to term it sharply and explicitly against misandry. Maybe for the future a regulation validating misandry AND misogyny as problematic aspects of sexism might make sense. Its what feminism is lacking in the eyes of anti-misandric movements, so why not make sure to improve on that…

I just read a comment about higher suicide rates being a way in which misandry does lead to death. I think that is a point, although it is more a consequence of a societal problem of misandry, for example men not being encouraged to and taught to deal with their feelings with a healthy way. It focusses on the different extents of danger that come with misandry and misogyny. For example misandry leads to social exclusion and insults and in some cases also to violence.
