Kind of messed up to be basically lying about wanting kids to women that only have a limited amount of time to make that happen. No matter what you think of them, that's pretty bad.

You sound lovely and really worth getting to know. It seems he's doing a good job of doing that and he's not being overly pushy or manipulative in trying to get you "alone.".....Going to a man's home for the first time can create anxiety, especially when it's an even "newer" experience for you. I'd find a way to communicate that as well as how nice it's been getting to know him and how you see things going in a positive direction....That it feels good he feels comfortable enough with you to invi…

Every fiber of my being is saying this is all about how this benefits him and not at all about protecting you. I'd at least do your own research and not just what he says.

I did notice he said he's looking for someone that's 21-25...I'm not sure how often he's said that or stressed it, but you're 28 which is a pretty average age for things to become serious and long lasting. I'll stay away from the whole topic of age, except to say he already stated his acceptable age range expectations and 28 is not it. Why is this even continuing beyond that. There's many more thoughts but sometimes it's better to be blunt. This just sounds cruel.

Yikes! Leave him and wish him good luck. He's going to need it.

In your experience, how does it seem to go when the script is flipped and the teacher is a man?--the girl vs boy students and what their man teacher notices or has to say about them?

My apologies--I don't even know what happened or remember reading this post. I don't know what W means and I somehow did this by mistake. I hope everything works out for you and again, I'm sorry.

If you're afraid of women that's fine. Who is anyone to judge your thoughts and experiences on that. I was relating something that happened to me that shook me enough that I would honestly choose the bear. I never thought I would ever think or say that. I saw my life flash before my eyes and It affected me enough to be more aware and safe and I'll never go many places alone now, which makes me feel pretty sad....Just trying to possibly explain and try to help make sense for anyone that doesn't g…

Ok--i've been seeing this topic come up the last few days and I just have to say something. I had a bad encounter with a stranger/man in this scenario...it wasn't the woods but it was a stretch of railroad track I've walked since childhood. It's far from houses and surrounded by trees and cornfields. I won't bore you with the details but I did nothing wrong and his behavior and reasoning in the situation was way beyond bad. I count myself lucky. All I saw in my mind was the Delphi murder of thos…

Please don't see this as a blow to your ego. Flip the script. You tried to see something in him or possibly wanted to "shape" him into someone he's just not capable of being. How unfortunate for him. The things he values in life and people are just not important in the grand scheme of things, and it's pretty sad. He's missing out (and always will be) and you feel bad for him...maybe not in those exact words? But you get the gist. He's 40 going after a 25 yo. What's the saying? "I get older but t…

I'll keep my opinions to myself but I will say, what would you tell your best friend, sister or someone you love if they were being treated a certain way, with someone like this or thinking about getting back with this person? Love yourself just as much and apply that advice to yourself. There's a reason your family is not feeling good about this.

I feel they do try to help men with what they face. Lines of communication are open--they are told to see a therapist and to talk about their feelings and communicate. Think about different ideals. Learn differently from what they know. But it seems some men are just not responsive to so much of it...best example I can come up with in the moment is I have a cousin that is only allowed to see his son during supervised visits right now and he just can't understand why. Everyone around him that lov…

Do you mean men hating other men? Since most of the murders of men are by other men making up that 80%. I'm not sure of the percentage within that 80 that are women doing the killing. I'd imagine it's to a much much lesser extent. I Also am not sure how much of that 80% are actually hate crimes. How were they killed and why. Males are generally the more violent of a species so it stands to reason. (I'm keeping with theme in mind of the OP regarding hate crimes and gender.)

There's been discussion. Recognition and treatment of Postpartum depression for one. Also in many countries there has been a substantial amount of selective abortion of female fetuses. The one child policy in China regarding the preference of a son really created a lot of deaths of female babies as well. In the second and third instances could be classified as hate crimes against the female gender. In the first case, it doesn't seem the child's gender is a consideration. I don't know if there's …

Hmmm. This is a really valid point. That may need a deeper dive into psychology to see if she hates women while herself being one.

I was under the impression the post was relating to gender when it comes to hate crimes so that is how I applied it.

How much of that 80% are women that are the murderers though. It seems most of that would comprise of men murdering other men.

This was painful to read. Please run from this man. If you stay, you will end up becoming one of those "feminists" that you just don't understand. You may not understand them now, but after any length of time with this man, you will understand and relate to them then. Good luck.

I read that she wanted you permanently out of her life. On your last day, this "last meal" experience likely felt quietly cathartic for her. It was more for her than you.

Stubble scratches and a beard, no matter how full, just makes me think about what they last ate or if they got toothpaste in it that morning. Call it a phobia or just personal taste. Baby faced all the way fwiw.

I'm from the US but North Eastern area. Texas I've heard acts like it's own country so I don't know much about there. I did banking, customer service and mostly home health aid for people that are mentally challenged. The only thing even close to your experience was a brief time I worked at an auto dealership but they were selling Porsches so how could I expect anything less of someplace that markets such materialism and caters to the elite. Lol I didn't work there long. My mind just goes to bei…

Where is this place of work and how old are the coworkers? This sounds like a summer job at an amusement park to get kids through college. Tbh I haven't seen it work like this in any place I've been employed. I'm thinking you're young. If this is what you see going on, it won't always be this way. People mature. Jobs mature.

What strikes me most about this statement is the addition of "only got" to women he had success with and diminishing his choices to having a pulse. That's part of the problem.

I'm wondering how long you both knew each other before marriage. It's hard to hide these things. Unless there were blinders or rose colored glasses on. Or was this in her past and she had since successfully changed for the better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
