I call 100% BS here. Men aren't nearly as honest about their intentions with women as people in this sub say they are. Men know that if they tell most women straight up that they only want them for sex and they don't view them as dating material, they won't get that chance. So a lot of men just lie or lead women on to get what they want

Point taken. Now are you done telling me what I'm allowed to complain about?

Considering that the original mission of feminism was to gain rights and dismantle oppressive systems while the manosphere just complains that they can't get laid, I'm not sure that's a fair comparison in terms of what people are complaining about

How long are we going to keep blaming society and social norms for men not having the agency and taking the initiative to be the positive change that they want to see?

That's not loneliness, then. If you as a man have a solid network of friends, but you just struggle with dating, then that's not loneliness. That's just a dude who struggles with dating.

I disagree with your second point because I don't think there's any denying that "manosphere" conversations about "the cards men are dealt" often just devolve into more conversations about women and what they've done. So still, even in men's spaces, women are brought up.

That's a different issue entirely, in my opinion. Loneliness, to me, is a lack of a solid network of people who can support you and whom you can support as well as spend time with. That's where I'm coming from. Male loneliness is something that men have control over. A lack of dating/relationship success is a different matter entirely.

That's not the issue at hand, though. The "epidemic" that people are complaining about is loneliness in general, not specifically a lack of marriage and family. If the issue is loneliness in general, then I'm saying that it's not women's problem to sort out.

Your point would be better if the issue at hand were the "male lack of romance epidemic," but it's not. It's supposed male loneliness at large. So why is the solution to male loneliness at large down to women to fix?

This whole number scale stuff is completely screwing people's minds, I swear. It's not about dating being 1:1. It's about compatibility and mutual interest. Date who genuinely likes you and you'll have more pleasant experience. Trying to game the system and do all this stuff to attract a woman who wouldn't like you otherwise just means that you view her as above you and you're trying way too hard.

Acknowledgement is a one-time thing. Complaining is when you harp on it for years and years like a lot of red pillers do.

Apparently it's more satisfying to complain about qualities you don't like than to just not engage with them.

Nah fam they definitely complain. Have you read this sub? Every third post is about women not having to work as hard on self-improvement as men in dating. Red pill dudes have been complaining with the same talking points since the pandemic
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 09:43 PM

So basically what I said. Red pill men complain a certain type of woman and how shallow they are, then base their self-improvement on becoming what they want. Super productive and that makes total sense

Bingo. Attractive women should do charity work and give a chance to a less attractive man. Attractive men shouldn't even look the way of a less attractive woman. What weird logic.

I think this entire approach is flawed from the jump. Quantifying people as "6s and 7s," or any number on whatever scale, and trying to justify an arbitrary system where people of certain aesthetic levels qualify or don't qualify to be with others is just a bad concept to me

I feel no disdain for anybody. People can want what they want, and whether they get it or not has nothing to do with me

Yeah man you got some things to sort out 😂 crazy how much disdain you have

Bro, if they don't get the results, then why do you care so much about their standards? If your life is all good and you have a girlfriend you like and that you consider an 8, why are you so concerned? Haven't you already accomplished your goal?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 09:04 PM

I get the point, I just disagree. What evidence do you have other than cherry-picked social media videos to show that the "vast majority" of women you consider "6s and 7s" are behaving this way?

I didn't say that, but okay.

You gotta talk to men about that, my guy 😅 not women's fault that men still date them no matter their weight. If you don't like bigger women, that's fine, but it's not their fault that men of all sizes still give them the time of day
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 08:58 PM

I don't believe in leagues, so I can't have that talk with you

Okay, so back to your beef with fat women. 😂 But my question becomes this: does that say more about the women themselves or the men who still date her and go out with her? Can you blame someone for feeling how they feel when they're still getting results and a lot of their critics are not? Goes back to what I said earlier. I think part of your issue is that you had to spend time grinding in the gym to get comparable dating results and prospects to a fat woman that you perceive as having standard…

For the purposes of a proper debate, can you define for me in clear terms what you are referring to when you say women's standards may be too high?

I gotta ask you man to man: if you're doing fine in dating and you're a magnet, why do you care so much about these "echochambers?" Doesn't seem to be affecting you and you're doing a phenomenal job of avoiding the "fat and fugly" women you definitely don't hold any resentment toward. Or maybe it just bothers you that these fat women still have dating options while you had to bust your ass in the gym? Maybe that's the root of the issue.

Men lie hard about make-up. They don't mind make-up as long as it doesn't look like the woman is wearing make-up.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 08:29 PM
6

I hear you, but that is precisely my point. Why are these men so concerned with so-called "6s and 7s" wanting 9s and 10s in the first place? If it bothers them so much, just leave them alone, right? Why then invest time in the process of becoming the kind of man that those women want if you despise them for wanting that kind of man?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 08:28 PM

You had something going in the first half, but the second half just kinda devolved into a rant about how much you despise fat women. Get that hate out of your heart, champ. Regardless, it's a big assumption to make that dating is that black and white for men who adopt this ideology. I just struggle to believe that men who get zero attention from women online, which has no real ramifications on in-person prospects, suddenly see a switch flip when they start lifting some weights and then they're s…

Guys don’t have the luxury of just being themselves we have to spark your attention Because girls right guys off way too quick if we don’t fit, the fantasy. I think your mindset and your approach are screwed from the jump if you believe men can't just be themselves from the very beginning in order to attract a woman. Again I ask: why are men so concerned with women they have to try and impress instead of focusing on women who already like them as they are?

Never because I'm a straight man lol But your question brings me back to my original point. Why are men so concerned with getting approval from women who are not attracted to them instead of focusing on the women who are? If a woman doesn't give you a chance because she's not attracted, take it on the chin and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 07:57 PM

That's the issue I have with it, though. The whole red pill thing is based on a hasty generalization at the very best. Evidence of women being attracted to looks, social status, and money as you laid out is pretty cherry-picked and isn't representative of your everyday person. For every woman who's exclusively seeking those three things, there are far more who are more concerned with a man's character and internal qualities.

I'll take "things that never happened" for 500 dollars. You mean to tell me that, as a person in your late 30s, you are witnessing women in real life sit in a public place and swipe on a dating app together? Then you want me to believe that they brushed off a guy and you witnessed this and even heard what they said, but when you went up to them to ask why they brushed him off, they gave you, another total stranger, an explanation instead of immediately brushing you off as well? Yeah right.

I do. But it seems to me like you hold the keys to your own success. I said that it's possible that the kind of woman you're going for could be the reason your needs aren't met. You told me first that you like women who make the first move on you. Point taken. But if you're the kind of guy who gets enough compliments from a variety of people and you feel that you could be bolder with women, what is stopping you from just taking matters into your own hands and getting the outcome you want?

It's natural for things to wear you down. What you cannot do, though, is let it discourage you to the point of quitting.

I hear you. Positive reinforcement is a building block for confidence. I guess what I mean is that the essential lesson in being a good chess player or a good dancer is that you inherently possess the tools necessary to improve in any area you so choose, dating being one of those. That's not to say that it is equally easy for everyone, but if you have a track record of getting better at the things you decide to take on, that can give you the confidence to persevere through dry spells and disappo…

I get where you're coming from, but I do have to ask: is it not possible that, sometimes, the type of woman you're going for is the reason why you're not getting your needs met? Since I started dating at 19 (I'm 24 now), I haven't gone years without meeting women and dating. I've done alright on dating apps periodically. However. What I've also found is that, since none of the women I've matched with have resulted in relationships, it's time for me to evaluate what it is that I keep falling for …

I have to ask: does that not come down to where you derive your own self worth from? If you're a person, or rather, if you put in the work to become a person who is secure in himself, you can withstand rejection and keep your perspective. I'm not asking men to be emotionless rocks because it's important to allow yourself to feel. However, I can't agree with men wallowing in despair constantly.

I hear you on that, but I would remind any man of this: there is far more to your existence and your worth as a man than the validation of women who don't like you anyway. If a woman doesn't like you and doesn't want to give you a chance, you cannot allow yourself to believe that that rejection indicates your worth. Just like the acceptance of a woman doesn't determine your worth. Your ability to meet nice women who will be compatible with you remains the same regardless of the amount of rejecti…

I don't want to discount your experience, but I do have to provide some pushback. When you say "these are what women are demanding I have," what exactly is it that you're referring to? I would argue that a lot of the things that people believe women "demand" are just normal things that adults should have anyway. Stable income, stable finances, a decent living situation, etc. Anything beyond that, to me, comes down to preference, and that's where I have to ask about your statement that "if what y…
