Yes. If one person makes it very clear that they do not want to have sex, and the other person, knowing this, persists and does it anyway, it's rape. Regardless of the situation or either party's reasons.

I think it may have something to do with one of the inherent problems with feminism. The entire mentality is built on fighting against inequality and oppression, and as it becomes increasingly apparent in society that women are not in fact being oppressed, it needs to pivot to find new threats and oppressors in order to remain 'relevant'. You can't feel like a brave warrior battling through adversity for justice when there is no grand enemy, tyrannical system or much adversity at all to be found…

That is a really good point. To add to this - while trans women are always "dangerous perverse men" etc, trans men are so often seen as innocent women who have been taken advantage of and corrupted into destroying themselves. On both counts, womanhood is something to be protected and preserved from the threat of masculinity. It's misandry all the way down.

I live in SA, and you're absolutely right op. The violence here is staggering, and victims are disproportionately male. (Even crimes like rape have a lot more male victims than you'd imagine). And yet, ALL of the public service information, charities, movements, etc are focused on how this effects women.
