I'm mid twenties and average looking. I dress well, work out, know a second language, do interesting things, and tell interesting stories. Above all else, I know how to socialize. I never mention my high paying job because in order to get the girl, I don't need to.

I work in Beijing and I'm glad to hear the trip helped you get over some approach anxiety. Still, I gotta agree with ShanghaiFever: this type of behavior and insensitivity to Chinese people is exactly what makes us other foreigners look bad. Wow, great advice so far.... This is the smart man's dilemma with game - you are probably thinking too much. There's no baggage to taking a girl out on a date. If it works, great. If not, life goes on. You're committing to nothing. You have absolutely nothing to lose. You need to know that in fact most dates won't work. She might not dig you the way you want, or you might not like her. But it's still as hell worth a try.

Gotta agree with this. It's not what you say, but the fact you are comfortable saying it. I didn't know this until the time I decided to approach a group of girls, walked up to them and because I couldn't think of anything clever just said "Hey, I'm here to hit on you." It actually worked really well, because I said it with stone cold confidence. In the end, I feel that timing and attitude are much more important than how clever the line is

For dudes: Have genuine interest in what people are saying. People nowadays are so self interested that no one genuinely listens to eachothers' stories, advice, problems etc. Just listen and ask good questions.
