Research tells us one of the most common indicators of a potential abuser is a sense of entitlement, but other potential signs are controlling behaviors, jealousy, animal abuse Was the man in your story any of these things?

Women have boyfriends and girlfriends. If you’re not her boyfriend then I’ve got some bad news for how she views you.

I have some experience here. I became a quadriplegic in my teens. I choose to not involve someone else. This is my burden not theirs. As contradictory as it may be, if I weren’t disabled I wouldn’t rule dating a female version of me now. I will say last I looked the statistics weren’t as optimistic as this thread. Something like 90% of relationships end after one becomes disabled.

I don’t know. Hypospadias can be treated so I assume they can cut and sew together. I’d book a consult with a urologist
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/22 04:31 AM

The penis just needs to have an erection. If you wake up with a boner that’s all you need. If you’re old (30+) nocturnal erections stop so it needs regular erections somehow, be it from stimulation or from drugs or devices. I’d stay away from stretching techniques. As I mentioned earlier many men who get ED see symptoms after stretching techniques start. If you’re ok with inflatable balloons in your dick (penile prosthesis) then be my guest. Btw, penile implants are amazing. Nothing beats a norm…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/22 03:57 AM

I’m not sure the exact reason. I assume because it damages the corpora tissue. From reading the ED forums like FrankTalk there’s often men who end up needing implants due to ED from jelqing.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/22 05:19 PM
8

Jelqing will give you ED, btw. Don’t do it. I’m serious. It’s a very common outcome. If you want to maintain what you have but don’t get regular errections then use a Vacuum Pump regularly for blood supply. Vacuum devices are safe as long as they’re not abused.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/22 05:14 PM

It’s shocking that most men don’t know this, but the penis literally shrinks when not used. It’s well documented in the urology field. Most men that get radical prostatectomy become impotent and lose an average of an inch a year due to lack of regular erections providing blood supply. I’d expect most men as they age have smaller dicks because of this. Edit: Peyronies disease (curved dick) can also cause length loss.

I know many women like that. But I won’t be close to them as far as friends or choose to spend time with them. I want them to succeed and be happy. I just view them more as acquaintances than friends. I suppose it’s a matter of definition. I view friends as people I spend time with and are close. Everything else is acquaintances.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/22 02:57 AM

Not really. The question is can people be friends with their preferred gender without (mutual) attraction. Bisexuals only befriending people they find attractive doesn’t invalidate this.

The only thing women can provide that I can’t get from men are sex, romance and validation. All my other needs are met. Sexual selection is the purest form of valuation. It is unfiltered. If someone said to you: “You are not worthy of my love. I personally think the human race as a species is better off that you do not reproduce. You’re not good enough and men can do better than you. You are literally unfuckable and undateable..” Why would you continue being around someone who views you with suc…

I have many positive relationships with women in my family, my friends wives and their family. I have no desire to spend time with women one-on-one outside of family. I don't wish women ill and would try to do what I reasonably could if they asked for help. However, I will not be close friends with women. I hung around too many women in school to see how they view men they value vs how they view men they don't find attractive. I feel like I'm sacrificing my self respect to be friends with women …

And how exactly do you want proof? I’m not going to post pictures of people I know without their consent. You can choose to not believe me. I don’t give a shit. But I’m telling you in my 20 years in a wheelchair I’ve known many couples where the woman was disabled. I’ve known many couples where the man was disabled too. But in my experience men are more accepting than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/21 01:02 PM

As someone in a wheelchair I can tell you that able bodied men dating disabled women are the faaaar majority. Able bodied women dating disabled men is extremely rare. Both sexes absolutely struggle though, don’t get me wrong. As far as Shane, personally I never bought that they were actually together. I suspect she started as a hired caregiver then he pays her extra to be his girlfriend on YouTube to try to normalize interabled relationships and disability. I’m not against spreading awareness th…

Well yes my dick still works but I can’t really feel it so it isn’t really satisfying for either party involved. I was with top tier girls before so yeah standards need to be lowered. Honestly I just don’t think I’ll be happy with who I can get now so I’ve just quit dating and do my thing now. As far as food intake, that’s not been my experience. Anything extra goes straight to my belly and I look pregnant. It’s a common thing with paralysis where the core muscles atrophy. They call it quad bell…

I am in a wheelchair, yes. I can move my arms pretty well so I use a manual (push) chair not a motorized chair. Most people think I’m a paraplegic but I’m actually a quadriplegic since my hands are affected. I still have a kick ass career, drive a nice car, travel, have hobbies, live alone. So it’s not like I’m stuck in bed all day. I’m a good looking dude so I got a decent amount of attention on Tinder when I tried it before the pandemic. But yeah the wheelchair is a factor. I honestly think my…

I have a spinal cord injury so I’m paralyzed from my chest down and most of my arms too. You can’t exercise muscles that you can’t move! And when you can’t move muscle they atrophy (shrink). I’m 6’4” and about 140 after losing about 50 lbs of muscle. :(

But it isn’t enjoyable when someone constantly tells you you’re not good enough to date. Kinda takes any fun out of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 09:21 PM

Because as an adult you recognize it’s how you yourself would want to be treated. Until someone gives you a reason to be disrespectful you should treat them with dignity. Don’t group everyone into the same bucket just because some gave you a bad experience (or read about a bad experience). Some women are total entitled twats and don’t deserve my attention. But, no, not all women are like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 02:05 PM
1

By participating in something you dislike you’re contributing to the problem and making yourself look like an ass. If you wouldn’t like it done TO you then don’t do it to them. It’s called empathy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 01:50 PM
2

Men would not feel valued, no. They would feel used/disrespected. Which is kind of my point. Men and women cannot be legitimate friends without someone feeling used or disrespected. It isn’t about entitlement it’s about respect. It’s about what isn’t being said in the dynamic. You and the opposite sex are friends. But why not more than friends? You said yourself the difference is being attractive/desirable. So anyone you’re friends with thinks you’re ugly and undesirable, but useful. Personally …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 11:57 AM
3

See this is why I don’t feel comfortable being friends with the opposite sex. There’s an underlying disrespect there. If you told those women you’re only friends because they’re ugly and if they weren’t ugly you’d smash, do you think they’d feel valued?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 05:47 AM
6

I’ve never understood this viewpoint that if they were true friends they’d stick around in a scenario of unrequited love. If someone initiates a friendship under the guise of secretly wanting to date then yeah that’s shitty. But if you guys are friends then someone wants more but is rejected then they are respecting themselves by distancing from a person who doesn’t value them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 10:57 PM
2

Of course! JFC that’s terrible way to treat a person you consider a friend. Anybody with any self respect would end that friendship immediately.

Let me give a better example, after my truck got stolen I couldn’t go to my insurance and say “Hey, I’m a victim of robbery! I deserve compensation for my truck!” My policy does not cover me being a dumbass because I left it unlocked and the keys in it. So Im the one “at fault” from a legal point of view. Surely you can understand this. I feel awful for any women who experience sexual assault or shitty behavior while dating/hooking up. The perpetrator needs punished for sure. I would never judge…

If someone has a known family history of health problems like diabetes and they knowingly take steps which increase their risk of diabetes, like disregard nutritional information and consume a diet insanely high in sugar, then yes they are being irresponsible. You’re wanting the world to fit in this nice black and white package where everything is good or bad. There are victims and perpetrators. But things just aren’t that way. It’s a matter of risk. And at some point a lack of effort to reduce …

It’s only appropriate if they engaged in behavior that increased the likelihood of their situation (Edit: and refuses to accept they engaged in poor decision making/irresponsible behavior). They’re still a victim they were just irresponsible. If someone is in a car wreck from getting hit by a drunk driver then they are a victim. Of course they are a victim. But if they also had injuries that could have been prevented had they just worn a seatbelt then they were a victim AND irresponsible. If the…

Nobody is saying perpetrators are blamefree. If someone commits a crime or are shitty then they should be punished/judged as such. The thing you’re not connecting is that everyone, both men and women, should be looking out for themselves and take responsibility to be sure they don’t become a victim.

I feel like it’s how we’re socialized. As a man our identity is intertwined in our penis. There’s a reason they call it our manhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/21 12:35 AM

Your comment about the men first thinking of their penises instead of their legs cracked me up. When I was in a car wreck my first though was “As long as I can still have a functioning penis I’ll be ok”. Ha.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 11:31 PM
3

I became a “high functioning” quadriplegic at 16 from a spinal cord injury (car wreck). I was not yet sexually active at the time. So I only know sex from porn which I understand is unrealistic but that’s all I have access to. I can still get boners and Viagra works for the most part. And I can usually get myself off. But never had much of a chance to explore with a partner. I think in-person I would be really uncomfortable with sexually opening up to someone I don’t know for a therapy session. …
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 11:16 PM

I admit I did not. :( After skimming it just now, what the article describes is a person to act as a partner during therapy sessions, if I understood correctly. I’m more ok with that but it would still be weird for me.

I can’t speak for all men, but as a severely disabled man I would not use this service if it were provided. I won’t get any enjoyment from physical intimacy without knowing the person and having an emotional connection first. Pity sex or even paying for sex won’t improve my self esteem in any way.

Neither one sounds very therapeutic or respectful for those who are entered into this program trying to overcome trauma.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 07:24 PM

Are you intentionally rejecting them to try to hurt them? Because that’s kinda shitty.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/21 08:07 PM

Because men are expected to want sex 24/7 so if he doesn’t then it must mean something is wrong with the woman. Toxic masculinity hurts both sexes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/21 07:56 PM
5

I’m curious, I would expect it would actually hurt more than help. Turning down a woman for sex is like the ultimate insult because “dontchaknow all men want sex all the time”! I’m surprised you don’t make them feel undesirable. Have you ever encountered this response?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/21 07:00 PM

I watched the first few seasons, yes. It was so hard because it was so accurate.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 03:22 PM

But that’s kind of my point. There are non sexual, but still affectionate things that are just inappropriate between friends. OP claims men (and women) should just get new friends but there are things and connections that won’t be met from friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/21 04:49 PM
1

So I wonder if the stigma of being gay is what keeps men from doing those kinds of things for each other. I would expect so. Men and women just have different boundaries in relationships. Personally I have wished I could be romantic with friends that are girls as a way to feel closer to them and express how much they mean to me but it’s a blurred line between that coming across as sexual so I feel like it’s best to keep it confined to girlfriend/boyfriend relationships. I have never felt the nee…

I do not have an argument for hand holding and forehead kisses. That’s my point. OP claims those needs can be met with friends. I’m using that as an example to show their argument is false.

There you go again making everything about sex again. I swear you’re just dense. The Atlantic shooter was mentally unstable and has committed a heinous crime. Women should not be blamed for his actions. He’s disgusting and anyone who supports his ideology is equally terrible. I’m not saying you are like him sorry if that was misconstrued. Adoption is also not the same as having your own children. I’m not saying I need to get naked. I’m using it as an example of something that people desire but isn’t available outside of a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship. it is inappropriate for friends to do. There are many as I listed in my original comment. You dismissing the unfulfilled romantic desires of a person is just as disgusting as the Atlanta shooter. “Why don’t you just get new friends?” Oh yes, I’m sure women on Tinder swipe right…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/21 04:12 PM

Yep you’re a troll. You refuse to understand that there are needs that cannot be synthesized by friends. You’re basically telling a woman who can’t bear children that she can just get a dog.

Why would asexual fuck? I swear you’re a troll at this point. You have to get naked when going to get a massage. Is that a sexual experience for you?

/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/21 03:49 PM

Why do you have to make everything sexual. It’s not sexual!! As others have pointed out asexuals have these desires too. They don’t even like sex!!! Who’s doing these things.. Apparently you, according to your posts. You’re getting all your needs met through friends as you claim.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/21 03:45 PM

So you have romantic friends that are men?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/21 03:39 PM

Not necessarily. I know couples that cuddle naked for the intimacy. That skin to skin contact. It’s not a sexual thing. Same with holding hands and forehead kisses. Do you not understand the difference between intimacy and raw sex? You also didn’t answer any of my questions. Do you have friends you do those things with?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/21 03:37 PM

So do you date ugly women because you like “Their principles, sincerity, the things they chose to be a woman?”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/21 03:02 PM

Can you please call them women? Calling them females isn’t doing anybody any good. I’m experienced now. I feel like a lot of the problems on PPD revolve around young people in their prime trying to do the best they can. And don’t tell me to stop thinking with my dick. Social interaction isn’t as black and white as you’re presenting.

Agreed with your assessment of young and inexperienced “situationships”. I was quite young and inexperienced but was wise enough to be objective and understanding about things so I knew I felt more than her. I remember getting so frustrated because I would never treat a girl that way if I didn’t like her. In the end while we were working to understand each other, and while I had feelings, I was in an accident resulting in me being a quadriplegic. Pretty obvious we weren’t going to work out after…

So you yourself know that men will interpret those actions as wanting more than friends but you think women should still behave that way to men? Women have no responsibility at all for their actions? I am friends with many women. It’s just a normal friendship to me. No flirting or anything. They don’t use me. I don’t use them. It’s very respectful. This is not a me problem. Regarding the girl in the example, it was not just me interpreting those things. Friends, family, teachers (we were in scho…

I grew up with a girl and we were friends first. Honestly that’s how it started. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then she started getting very flirty. Very touchy feely. Head on my shoulders, hugs my arm, just being very physically close and physically affectionate. She tells me I’m very special to her. Tells me I’m so funny and laughs at stupid jokes. Cuddle on the couch. Gives me her number to talk. I did become interested in dating her. I think most men here would assume she was interested in me…

The main thing is I want women to act with sincerity. If they’re interested then act interested. If they’re not interested then don’t act like they are just for the attention and validation.

Being flirty, touchy feely, approval seeking, validation, nurturing, stuff like that. Like, if you saw two dudes with the same behavior you'd assume they were gay.

It's not exactly the same, but lets say you're dating a guy and he tells you that years ago he regularly paid for prostitutes, like high class girls with the body and enthusiasm of a porn star. Would you dismiss it and be like "oh that was years ago, no big deal"?

I’m not sure if it’s accurate to say I’m happy being single. But I am happiest being single. There are downsides. I’d love to be physically affectionate and emotionally close with someone but not cohabitate. I need my solitude, freedom and independence and I’m just not compatible for the typical routine social activities that come with supporting a partner as a companion. But an occasional emotionally close FWB (is there a term for this?) and travel buddy would be nice.

It’s a way of saying there are more unattractive men than there are attractive men. The average attractiveness is not the middle.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/21 06:42 PM

I think you misunderstand. If there are 10 men who a woman ranks: {1,1,1,1,1,1,3,5,7,10} Avg = ~3 But equal ranked men are seen as one! You can’t treat them differently. What women see: {1,3,5,7,10} Avg = ~5 I understand mathematically the average means all, including duplicates. But that’s not how attraction works. If women aren’t attracted to the men that are available that doesn’t mean the ones remaining are a 10. It means all that are left are unattractive (which is why they haven’t been cla…

I see. You’re trying to make the argument that women don’t think the mathematical average is average attractiveness/desirability. What I’m saying is how are you expecting those initial values to be set? Are you saying the dude is a 5 or is a woman saying that dude is a 5. If you want to think of bell curves you can make the claim the peak of the bell curve is not center. But doesn’t mean their judgment us wrong it means the market is over saturated on one end.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/21 04:38 AM

You can’t seriously think those two scenarios are related. Women aren’t in the valuation business regarding Mexican citizens income. They are in the valuation business for mating, however.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/21 04:14 AM

I’ve never understood this argument. If the women all say what is average then that is the average man. Just because you or other men don’t agree with it doesn’t mean it’s not true. The market decides the value of a product not an individual.

You must be trolling. I can tell because someone with this level of entitlement and lack of empathy can’t possibly exist.

What does this have to do with anything? Are people equating incels to serial killers?

Why should women care about future relationships if they have options? If one guy has a problem with their N count then the woman will shrug and move on to the next dude in line.

My testosterone is consistently within the top 3% of the population for dudes. I check it yearly. I have never ever experienced mood of aggression, I have certainly experienced self doubt and struggle with general anxiety. Most importantly I am not a violent person and have an unusually high amount of empathy. It’s who I am as a person. Testosterone doesn’t change that. Don’t blame testosterone for a dudes (or women’s) personality.

I’m sorry if all your experiences were with women who suffered some degree of BPD. But I can assure you not all women are borderline, manipulative or emotional.

I’m in a wheelchair. On my profile I have pics of me doing all kinds if adventurous stuff. I don’t make my chair a primary focus but there is a small “heads up” in my bio because I know most girls will not want to sign up for it so it saves everyone time to put that upfront. I’ve experimented and did like you say, kept it private, but it feels deceiving. It’s a bit misleading to hide such a big thing, don’t you think? It’s nice because with the matches I get I already know they’re aware so they’…

How is that conceited? Having that kind of an illness is likely a dealbreaker for many. She’s filtering out those who don’t want to pursue a relationship. Would you prefer she hid it then later have it pop up? I think it’s very responsible by disclosing things like that up front.

For example, women having sexual leverage over men results in most men being beta drones. Men have agency and autonomy. Why are you blaming women for beta drones? If you feel like you’re being used or things are imbalanced in the level of engagement between yourself and a woman then don’t be a drone and move on with your life. Have some self respect. If it’s other men that are sticking around and becoming beta drones then it isn’t your problem. Women enjoy sex. Many women will freely have sex wi…

Who cares who has the advantage? My opinion is the same: Treat people like people. Don’t deceive. Communicate. If you feel like you’re being used in a relationship or your needs aren’t getting met then move on. Don’t be a whiner.

Each sex has a responsibility to look out for themselves. Personally, I think it’s wise to make men wait some. But it seems a bit victim blaming to make women the responsibility of poor behavior from men. How about just don’t be shitty men?

Really depends on the context. How long was the relationship? Did you give away sex quickly? What is his past behavior? You may never know his true intentions. Look at actions over words.

I’m sure you would feel pretty shitty if a woman did that to you. So why not use that for good? If women would feel used if men treated them that way why condone either genders behavior? If a cop breaks the law to catch a criminal is the cops criminality justified?

No one plans for incompatibility. If it isn’t working out and the situationship falls apart that’s obviously different. But if I say to myself “I bet I can bang her” then do whatever I need to for the conquest, that is using a girl for sex.

What crowd are you hanging around where manipulation is normal? Most socializing isn’t that manipulative. That isn’t normal.

If a guy says he wants a relationship with a woman and shows this with his actions too but secretly he really plans to bail after sex, what would you call that then?

In HS I was friends with a girl who was interested in me. She had a history of monkey branching and would always flirt with me while in a relationship but was generally tame sexually. I did have feelings for her but I’m the committed type and so I never pursued her when she was briefly single out of fear she’d do the same to me. Later I found out she went absolutely insane wild and slept with any and every guy and then some. Lost all respect for her but she still wants to be “friends”. Sorry no.
