Yeah I think I was overthinking it for some reason. No was no cheating or anything dramatic, so I don't want it, she doesn't want it but she can have it to what she wants.

Yeah I know it was a gift, was more she doesn't want it so should I take it, she offered it. Might suggest she sells it if neither want it and put towards the divorce costs.

No won't be a trial, we are in the UK and it's all amicable, going down the no fault divorce route so pretty straightforward. It was more she asked if I wanted it back, don't think she really wants it. Not sure I really want it, doubt will ever marry again and if I did would be weird using the ring, no kids either so not passing it on to them. So wondered what others did with the ring.

It's possible, we tried the therapy route and I tried to fight too long. Once realised it was over it hurt but we both wanted to be adults about it after 12 years. We separated amicably and the divorce was fine. It was all done on friendly terms. I guess it depends on the situation too, we separated as had grown apart, there was no affairs, betrayal or abuse. So no hate towards each other. We didn't stay friends but the process was friendly.

Short and sweet answer, leave her. Will be tough but if she has done all that and doesn't care about you then it's over. You will be better without her.

It's the Disney delusion, they all ultimately think they should be able to do what they want and be treated like a princess. Yeah no, this is real life, any relationship needs to be equal in terms of love, emotions etc.

It is possible, me and my ex spent 8 weeks living together before we went our separate ways as had two months left on our tenancy. It does depend on the marriage and reasons for the divorce. Ours was largely a good marriage but we drifted apart, no cheating or toxic behaviour. We decided to be adults about it and keep it friendly, it was strange at times but ultimately it worked, we parted on good terms. In your case it sounds like it's going to be difficult to make it work if that is how she is…

You can't cope with it and you shouldn't have to. It's time to make the difficult decision to end it. She doesn't love you anymore and by the sounds of it never will again. I fought for too long to keep her when deep down I knew she was just going through the motions, I could see the affection going but still believed I could save it. No one person can save a marriage, both need to be committed. If that's how she feels let her go. It won't be easy but in the long run it will be better for you.

Yeah I fought hard to save things when she decided it was over, we tried for months but deep down I think I knew she was only going through the motions, which just dragged it out. It's hard to let go but looking back it would have been easier in the long run.

Yeah hate is a destructive thing. My wife decided after 12 years it's over, I was angry, upset full range of emotions but not hate. I never seen the point, we had largely good times, it didn't work in the end. The process of separating was devastating and difficult but we did it amicably, we didn't stay friends or anything but hate would have just made it more difficult and unpleasant. I focused on the good times, good memories. Obviously every divorce is different, in ours there was no abuse, c…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
