Ahhhhh that’s a good point. Femininity in a male-centric society would be perceived as the “weaker” of the two.

That’s fair. What I got from the most recent post was “men like women who like them and are pretty” and “women hate men”.. while I take lots of these comments like shit posts and extremes, I do recognize that these can be people’s true feelings. Thanks for the sensible input.

Women are also more likely to stay with men during illness than men with women.

That’s true. I didn’t consider that outside of a physical, men don’t have routine care until they’re much older

That seems unprofessional.

Would be interesting to see the data on testing frequency by gender. In my experience, women usually get tested annually at their gynecologist appointment, but also before during and after ending relationship/sexual partners.... I’m not a man so I can’t comment on how the average testing cycle for men

I mean a lot of older rappers are married (although, they could steal definitely be cheating on their wives) and don’t do nearly as much drugs as they put in their music... I could keep going but the main point is, people in positions of power can be hypocrites when it directly impacts them. As long as they keep selling it.

Reasons I have rejected men/didn’t swipe on men online: 1- Lack of effort on their profile (low light, poor quality pictures, no writing in their profile except a random string of letters and/or emojis to meet the character minimum 2- I wasn’t attracted to them (I make an effort to swipe right on every man that has a decently worded profile, seemingly aligned values (isn’t holding up blunts or has racist language), looks clean & tidy, doesn’t have F boy bio or vibes). If you look like an unkempt…

I agree. I never go into any situation with anxiety or fear. If I feel that strongly about a person, I refuse to go.

Honestly, I come to this sub for a good time. Not because I actively need confirmation on my beliefs. Is dating complex in real life? Sure, but I’m not going to FDS or red pill (I don’t know enough about either to condemn but they seem to be talking points here) to try to accommodate for it.

This. I don’t put myself in situations to be alone with strangers until I consider them an acquaintance and have basic identifiable information about them. If I felt like all men were rabid abusers, I would never leave my place lol

Well, my idea of fun and social is a bomb partner at card games nights... don’t know if that’s your idea of a good time lol

I’m a woman (only important for context). I have no source to provide but I agree. Men are natural givers and women are natural receivers/amplifiers- it’s biological, I would argue. Men give women seeds and women birth the baby. Even if we look at romancing (masculine- action) vs being romanced (feminine- inaction). I feel like it’s a no brainer? Sure, some men are better at romancing than others. Just like some women are better receivers of romance than others. I’ve had poor experiences too; ho…

Woman. I haven’t had sex since my relationship ended in January 2020. After my relationship ended, I was ravenous for maybe 2-3 weeks. I think I’ve been horny maybe once or twice in a year during ovulation. I’ve thought about sex more than that but it doesn’t do anything for me when I don’t have a partner. During my relationship, I tend to have a higher drive than my partners; however, I’ve never felt sexually starved.

If you ever do have one, I recommend the bisalp not getting your tubes tied. Less full proof and about the same recovery time. That’s what I had :)

I went to a private Catholic school and Cosmo was like the Bible for some girls.

The only real “strategy” I followed was changing the way I dressed. In 2019, I got rid of all my crop tops, leggings, jeans, short skirts/dresses and adopted a wardrobe solely of skirts and dresses (except for gym wear). I would say my fashion style is more like classic modern? Natural fabrics, emphasis on my waistline, not too much skin. I would say it’s successful because I’m attracting more men that align with my actual values instead of men who just thought I was attractive. (Edit: when I wa…

I could never relate to cosmo as a teen/young adult. It just felt wrong- something that I knew I couldn’t jive with. I will say that I do watch YouTube videos on makeup, skincare, and dressing for your body type though. I do not watch political or feminism content.

Had to end my last relationship because of it. I am childfree. He is not. Since then, I’ve had a bisalp and will only be dating men with no children. Sorry, not sorry. Edit: my sister is currently pregnant and even with my surgery, people keep asking when I’ll have children + men saying “let me change your mind”🙄

I’m childfree and wanting marriage for the exact reasons you’ve listed. Not much to add to the conversation lol.

I wish women getting married older meant fewer children but the rate of unwed parent households leads me to believe otherwise.

I am a childfree woman but I still desire marriage. However, I agree with women marrying for children... but I also know plenty of unwed single mothers so ? At the same time, I know plenty of 28-33yo men who are in the “I must settle down & reproduce” craze. It is usually standard for people to date less than 2 years before getting engaged and married 1 year from that.

Sure, that could have been the case in my younger years. That post-college intro to the real world season is different than my current reality. That’s a going point though, bringing in money is great but being aligned on how it is spent is important too!

My parents have had an allowance set for my sister and I. If we go over it, it’s the groom & I or his parents.

In my experience, which is obviously biased, I have never met a man who did like it. Its not worth it to have to walk on eggshells and minimize the conflict because he doesn’t like it. I’m willing to be proven wrong about it but so far I haven’t been.

I am childfree and I DO care about a man’s money. I would not marry a man who makes less than or equal to what I make; however, I do not need him to make like 50-100k more than me. Yes- it’s about the money but importantly his and my comfort. I do not believe men when they say they do not care about women making more money than them. Whoever holds the most money, holds the most power (in my opinion) and I’m fine with him having more than I do. Other financial things I care about: little to no de…

Do you think it would be difficult if we left the judgment up to individual interpretation? Or are you saying that confidence doesn’t matter when it comes to skill? Please confirm :)

Yeah when I was under 25, I didn’t like men 4 years older than me either. I think the main reason I started looking at older men differently was being in close proximity in corporate settings.

I see, so mutual intellectual interests and the opportunity for creative dialogue would make you feel seen. I like it. To your other point though, it would be an easier time if the man-woman polarity was more aligned.

Do you like questions about your interests and/or when women research your interests in order to get closer to you? I’ve heard yes and no so I wanted to ask since you brought it up.

I googled it lol. I’ve been in classes like this but never knew it was a method. I remember my teacher saying “who yells first is the least intelligent” so you can imagine how well that worked

Funny enough- my mother taught us to always overly-appreciate a man who goes out of his way to do something for us. I’m glad that’s a standard thing across the board... May your healing be plentiful in the passing of your wife.

🤯🤯🤯 thank you for the explanation!! In my recent conversations with men, they’ve been talking about women “moving the goal post” on what they want and I would dismiss it because they just sounded bitter (sorry). The clear goal and clear reward actually quantifies it. The job description example is brilliant. How can people figure out what is expected if things are always changing. Thank you for your reply!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/21 02:19 AM

I understand. Men want to be appreciated for who they are and what they do as an individual. It’s funny that the answer seems simple but the application is nowhere close to being that way.

Side note- are you a writer? Poet? What I am understanding from your comment is that you would want to bring the world back to polarity. While we know there were dark days in history, the man to woman polarity has shifted and started to repel instead of attract.. That it is the balance we need to shift back into alignment. Am I close?

What does respect look like to you? I wonder if people have different definitions.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/21 02:05 AM

I apologize, that wasn’t intentional. I understand what you’re saying. If the value/recognition is based on the “thing” instead of the person, it basically reduces the person to less than the thing. (I know this isn’t what you said, just how I internalized it.) I greatly appreciate your reply.

I like men 6/7-10 years older than me. If he looks healthy, exercises, eats appropriately for his age, I might consider older. When I was 26, I dated a 42 year old man who looked 33.

So the lack of consistency is making it harder to.....? I hear what you’re saying but I don’t understand the significance. If women were more consistent with their asks, that would make men feel seen?

So what I think I’m reading is treat you with respect, understand that you put an effort into making yourself into the man that you are, and exist beside you? I know you commented a lot more but I want to ensure I’m getting the meat of your response. :)

I’ve been in a relationship with my financial “equal” so I’m mildly jealous that it worked for them! In my experience, it started to feel like an one-sides competition. When the relationship was really going downhill, my ex would make tit for tat comments about us spending the exact dollar for dollar amount. We were spending a ton of money but it just felt... empty? I’m not sure how else to explain it. I’ve also dating men who made less than me. Never again. They still had the expectation that I…

1- If confidence and charisma is defined as a calm, powerful, “people see me when I walk in the room” vs “people hear me before I walk in the room”, strongly preferred. 2- My version of confidence and charismatic is softer, poised, and alert. People usually make physical compliment my posture, manners, and smile and comments about being fun to talk to. I would consider myself to be confident and charismatic; however, lots of people think of shy and stuck up until they speak to me so who knows? 3…
