Wages and salaries are a price, that is the result of a negotiation and the equilibrium point where the buyer (the employer) is ready to part with her money and where the seller (the employee) is ready and willing to part with his time, his energy, his pride and dignity, his dreams of becoming an artist, his sanity and whatnot.
