While i agree, we do need more male teachers, but FUCK THAT. The risk to pay is not worth it.

I am impressed they actually used the word rape in the title. I am assuming the young victim must have been female. Edit: Article doesn't say the victim's gender which further supports my thought. If it was a male victim they wouldn't protect his privacy.

Maybe in our teens i'd agree with you. And looking back I feel like this was more due to societal pressure and media pushing the idea that boys and young men were these ravenous sex fends than my hormones. Girls and women can be just as bad and in some cases even worse boys and men. I have sisters and have over heard some of their conversations with their friends and they pale in comparison to what was said in the boys locker rooms.

I get it. I don't agree with it, but i get the why she did what she did. What chills me most is the responses. I could post on here about chopping off my cheating wife's titties and i would be rightfully called out as a monster. Women are all to happy to hold Mrs. Bobat here up as a god damn hero. I am gonna die single.

Because since about the age of five men and boys are socially beaten over the head about how abusive and how horrible we are.

In a few rare occasions i have seen them refer to female perps as rapist when their victim was a young woman/girl.

It seems to depend more victims gender. If male it’s sex, if female it is rape.

I am sorry. I have no doubt what you went through was horrible and very traumatic. I’d say press charges even if it has been a year but honestly even if you had started day one it would have been an uphill climb to get justice. Having to explain what happened and not being believed. Being told you were lucky, not a victim… I know. It’s not easy. Just know you are not alone.

women try three times more often than men to unalive themselves… well guess if you want something done right the first time…. i hate when women and feminist use this logic but doesn’t this kind of prove the point that we should have a serious discussion on the health and well being of men and boys?

Down vote this guy all you want but he isn't exactly wrong. The article itself is fairly neutral in its tone. it mentions X number of people were men then mentions x number of people were women. its not like that horrible troupe of 1 in 4 are women, completely discounting the homeless men.

"Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill them right back." - Malcolm Reynolds. I say take it to court. The odds of a jury not siding with you is gonna be slim. though i suppose if you are from say a place like California they might actually convict you.

I think that contributes to it. Most men, most people really, don’t like stirring the shit so when asked something they are likely to just give the response that will cause them the least amount of trouble.

It is lazy to just white wash an enitre group of people like that. Not to say we don't have some bad apples, we absolutely do. Any group of people will have bad faith actors. Feminism is certainly full of them to. Of course they are quick to say #notallfeminist. Ok true but yet.... they won't hold the same opinion for other groups.

it is really not that uncommon. Especially in a noisy environment. It has happened to me all the time. Friend family co-workers even complete strangers have "touched" me to get my attention. Either on the shoulder, upper arm or back. Edit: As a general rule i don't like being touched. Of course as a man i have no option but suppress the urge to recoil away from someone who touches me.

There are a lot of reasons to cheat, most of them are not good reasons. And regardless of who cheats in the relationship it is wrong for them to do so. but yest there is absolutely a double standard. Men can do nothing right, women can do no wrong.

Being a woman and criticizing feminism lends some credibility to their criticisms. Men not liking a certain movie these days are vilified as misogynists. No matter how good of a point you might make in being critical of feminism or women in general gets you labeled as an incel. Thus ignored by the general public. While the women who are trumpeting men’s rights are often labeled as pick mes or self hating these labels don’t have the same negative influence as labels like incel or misogynist. Than…

Women desire men to. We are seeing more and more women get upset because men are not showing up anymore. Men are not going to bars like we use to. Men are not going to singles events. God those things were awful to begin with no surprise men are not showing up. I will give you this though it is not going to be men that change this. It is going to be up to women. Women are going to have to make the change. They are gonna have to date that guy who is 5'10" or makes less money than they do.

3 to 1? That's being generous. Suppose it might be right if you don't count the spammers, the scammers, the cat fishers ect. Most of these men are not that far gone. Most just need a little understanding empathy and a chance to actually interact with someone of the opposite gender.

Ouch. Yeah I can completely understand how it would be hard to trust a woman again. Sadly compassion for men is in short supply. This undoubtedly will be held against you instead of being met with understanding. If you can find a woman willing to do that then you will know she is the one. But she is a unicorn and you may never find someone like that. I wish you the best.

I can't help but think the 1-12 men being a victim of sexual assault is much worse than that. Especially if men don't even recognize that they can be sexually assaulted by a woman.

Yeah it is hard. You lost someone who loves you unconditionally. Possibly the only person in your life who ever has given you that kind of love. And when you felt low and hurting instead of compassion it was weaponized against you. It is not men preventing other men from expressing their feelings. It is women. The pain will never go away but it will dull over time.

There is no easy one thing to answer this. It seems to be a combination of things. The crazy idea that men are always wanting and eager for sex. That might have been true at one point in my life as a teenager, but that still doesn't change that she was the adult in the situation and i was wronged. It took years for me to work out that it wasn't sex, it was rape, but to the majority of people i tried to go to for support either said i wasn't raped, i got lucky, or that i raped her. You weren’t assaulted. You got lucky. As society would have us believe. Believe me you are not alone in this. I know it can be difficult to find people to open up to. Most people are not going to get it. You were wronged regardless of what society may say/think. Best thing I can suggest is document everything. The time the date. Everything, pen to paper. If you can record it. Make it clear you do not appreciate it. Make it loud and clear for anyone who will listen.

Consent to sex is not consent to being a parent. I'll agree with you on that. Also one woman said "Why should women use birth control? that harms their body, men can just sue condoms" Well because condoms aren't that trustworthy.. that should really say because people are not trustworthy. Condoms are probably the most effective way of preventing pregnancy. Sure they aren't perfect can fail but when they fail it is usually due to ignorance or malice.
/r/MensRights28/02/22 02:51 AM

Not entirely. Its mostly coming down to difference in what men and women want. women tend to want more free time, benefits ect. men tend to want more money. Work longer hours. Willing to risk bodily harm for pay.

Women are becoming incels, it’s mens fault! I don’t know why I bothered to read this. If a woman wants to have sex she will find a man to have sex with. Granted she might have to dig pretty deep and maybe scrape the bottom but she’ll find some to tangle with. This is some what true for men as well but at the same time if you truly are at the bottom as a man, there is nothing. It’s not happening period.

jmy response to "instead of expecting women to be protected, or to protect themselves, why not teach men not to rape or assault women" My response to this would be simple, if you want to get to the root of things why not outlaw circumcison. You want men to respect women and their bodies, why don't we start by respecting boy's bodies from the start? "Well it's not the same, you got raped by another man, and it's men who are causing this problem, so it's just men attacking other men" If that is he…

I think there was a time in place for alimony in my grandparents and arguably in my parents generation. In these younger generations, I'd like to see one of two things to happen. A. It is abolished completely or B. We see more men getting alimony for doing the same and not getting shamed for it.

I am not assuming every abortion is due to rape/abuse. I understand those are generally the exception just like those that treat abortions lightly. While your idea of the child being a human and should have the opportunity to live is a lofty idea and would be great in perfect world. Sadly we do not live in one. Trampling her rights and potentially ruining her life and the childs by forcing her to have the child is not the right thing.
/r/MensRights20/02/21 06:56 PM
1

Of course he should have some say. He should be able to choose wether he supports the child (financial or physically by being a part of the child's life or both.) Or if he wants nothing to do with the child he should be able to walk away with no repercussions. Or if she is willing to bring the child to term he should be able to keep the child himself and she can have the same options I brought up. Ultimately though since it is her body the choice to abort or not is her choice. I would hope that …

Sure, a rape baby is a rare thing, but if allowing women to avoid the responsibility (which they should totally be able to do and I wish we men could avoid the responsibility of being parents as well) of pregnancy cause they fucked up garuntees those victims a safe option to not have their abusers child, that is a trade I am willing to make.
/r/MensRights20/02/21 04:52 PM
3

I completely agree. I am a huge supporter of the intactivist movement. I imagine many MRAs are. Both of these things fundamentally boil down to ones bodily autonomy. The right to one's own body. To support one and not the other is hypocrisy.
/r/MensRights20/02/21 07:30 AM
2

While I generally agree with the sentiment that life is precious and should be given a chance the flourish and in a perfect world there would be no need for abortions. Birth control would be 100% effective. No one would be a victim of rape or abuse. Every pregnancy would be planned and wanted at the perfect time. If allowing 10 women to have abortions for the most asinine of reasons grantees 1 victim of abuse from carrying their abusers child to term, then I am ok with that trade.
/r/MensRights20/02/21 07:25 AM

While abortion is a huge subject and one men absolutely need a voice in the discussion, but at no point should a anyone be able to prevent a woman from terminating a pregnancy. Period.

My anger isn't so much that you are painting all men with an incredible large brush. It's the disregard that your shit don't stink as well. You ladies need to be taught not to rape as much as we do. It seems we can't go a week without a news story of a teacher sleeping with raping their students.

So. How would you approach that problem (men silently ignoring women, because they are afraid)? Generally we don't. Society has made it pretty clear our thoughts are unwanted in this case. So we just keep our heads down, stay out of trouble, and do our job. I use to be in a training/mentoring position. The people I worked with were mostly women. Possible. Also possible he didn't make his move till the morning when he sobered up. What? You don’t want to protect children and want child molesters go free? Yeah that’s how people are gonna react if we oppose this idea. I don’t disagree though. The thing i take from it is that feminists are hypocrites. That the idealized feminine form is toxic to young women and girls. And if i am being honest i don't entirely disagree, but these same feminist will turn around and completely blow off the idealized masculine form like He-Man here as nothing more than a power fantasy and isn't harmful in the slightest to boys even though young men and boys have destroyed themselves (just like young women and girls mind you) trying to obtain that.

Wasn’t this part of someone’s stand up? I seriously feel like I remember a black comedian making a joke about this. About how a white woman looked back and started walking faster so he looked back and sped up not knowing what she was afraid of. Then she starts to run and he is like fuck it and starts running to?

I’ve started doing this at work since they banned shorts last summer because people were wearing booty shorts. It’s rather liberating. Of course now more men are doing it and now we are shutting down in August.

And Abortion due to rape is extremely rare. True, but doesn’t change that it does happen and yet you don’t seem to be willing to make an exception in the case of rape? Going through rape wasn’t enough? You don’t get to force someone through something they had no control over. Abortion is Murder. I don’t disagree but you can not force someone to do something they do not want to do. No one has the right to make another humans heart stop. No one has the right to rip limbs off a defenseless child. N…

Abortion does not make some one become unraped. Just makes them a rape victim with a dead child So let’s just saddle them with a large medical expense they will be paying off for years to come while they raise a walking reminder of said rape. Let’s also hope that the rapist doesn’t try to assert his rights as a father and demand visitation rights. It’s rare but it has happened. While I do not like abortion, I do view it as a necessary evil. If we want to fight for things like financial abortion,…

You see as a man there is only one thing your mind and that one thing only, nothing else. sex sex sex sex sex. And since you always want it you’re always consenting. Also doesn’t help that female sexuality as often viewed as a gift that they bestow while male sexuality is considered dangerous and predatory.

It varies a little from state to state but generally speaking, yes. Also note this doesn’t always translate the other way. I had a friend who had to fight for years to get full custody of his two sons from his ex and was paying a shit load in child support. Wow...I can see both sides of this story. Maybe the girls really were molested maybe they weren’t I don’t know. If they were I can certainly see things from their point of view and wouldn’t want something like that tainting the rest of their lives. The article doesn’t say that the coach was convicted, infact it even goes so far to say that the mother of the girls didn’t want to give his name because even she doesn’t know. boobs? Ok being serious. While Lenard undeniably has book smarts Penny has a better understanding of the world and the people in it... which admittedly is becoming a troupe that annoys me...and we probably have this show to thank. And again you seem to only read what you want to read. I would go on to call a 19 year old a boy as well as point out that a 14 old girl made a very adult decision and that I am upset that an adult woman is likely going to walk away with little consequences for her actions. Yet I am infantilizing women? Fuck off I am not going to waste my time with someone that doesn’t pay attention.

You presume much from my simple statement. At 14 many will start to feel a strong desire, male or female, for sex. Nothing particularly wrong with this. It is a natural part of growing up. Yes at that age he likely only understood that sex was something he wanted but didn’t entirely understand what all it entailed. Which is why I said arguably. Basically some women’s products cost more. Usually not by much 25 to 50 cents difference. While not much at the register it does add up over time. This difference can usually be explained away by looking at the ingredients used to make said products. Look at deodorant that is targeted towards men. I would bet money that what ever they pick out is going to be the most basic of the basic. While the most basic femini version of the deodorant is likely going to have some kind of moisturizer or fragr…

Sexism; prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex. So while the definition favors women it doesn’t limit it to women. Largerly because they want to sweeten the deal to get women to come to the bar. Men go to the bar for women. It is stupid, but it is just basic marketing. Women tend to pay more for health insurance. Of course women tend to use it more often. Even factoring out pregnancy women go to the hospital more often. And of course there are feminists group fighting to change this, which i am fine with, just wish they would be willing to fight for equal car insurance prices.

I would like to see more men post #metoo experiences. no thank you, rather not rip open that scab again All people get harassed no matter gender. We need to teach boys that they should speak up if someone tried to coerce them into something they don't want. You’re not wrong, but society has made it pretty clear it doesn’t want to hear this from boys and men.

welcome to men’s rights. can’t say i am surprised. the media in general likes to lump the entire man o sphere together has just one big ball of misogyny. not to say there is no misogyny here, you look hard enough you will certainly find some. though each group is unique and different from the others there is some overlap. i tend to view myself as a bit of the MGTOW but i visit here far more often than any of the MGTOW subs or youtube channels.

the point was that when women kill it is not always with a gun or with their own hand. So this tends the throw off the stats for gun violence and murder when taking sex in as a factor. hiring a hit man to kill someone is not the same as attempting to murder them.
/r/MensRights04/10/17 05:11 PM

also women tend to kill in other ways. often by seeking third parties to do the work. if caught they might just get a charge of conspiracy while the person she sought out gets the murder charge.

I am not going to argue the feminism is wrong and needs to go away because there are certain problems that women and girls face and they do need a voice. Guess what though, so do men and boys.
