Huh, how funny that so many people all around the world were so up and arms about women not being allowed to opt out of parenthood (abortions) in US, but men not being able to do the same, even when those men are victims of rape, even when those men are child victims of rape by a paedophile teacher (or other person with power and authority over them, don't think i'm forgetting you, Ásthildur Lóa Thórsdóttir) - nope, no opting out possible, and that's considered to be a good thing. And also total…

In their defence - there is not insignificant chance women in the family bathroom will look at him like a pedo and whisper behind his back if he takes the daughter there

Absolutely. It gets even worse with unisex bathrooms: here's a story rom my last workplace. It was old building, where company i worked at rented an office. Due to being old, it had an odd system, where 1st floor had men's restroom, 2nd - women's and 3rd - unisex (on the account of half of the floor being taken by the building admin staff). Naturally, women would routinely walk into men's bathroom to get tap water (and, naturally, we weren't allowed to do the same in theirs and had to walk to a …

Either the school admins are blatant tyrants, or they just expressed their apathy towards the cancer patient indirectly by punishing his supporters. OR, the option a sane person would chose: they would've allowed it if asked, but now that someone spat in the face of their rules, they are refusing to just let it slide because they don't want to set the precedent of someone breaking the rules and getting away with it just because of the public support

They could've asked in advance. Also, it's not "blind obedience" to follow rules of the establishment you chose to attend and whose rules you pledged to follow.

This is the position you present, which renders your poor “explanation” of projection totally inaccurate. No, it's not. I would assume you understood the difference "i shaved my head because i wanted to" and "my hair is literally falling out because i'm getting a treatment to not die", but... self-evidently i put too much faith in your comprehension level, my bad. Basic logic. Nope, just conflating two completely different cases and hoping people let your BS slide. Do you think the school is act…

Since i'm clearly dealing with a child (thanks for confirming) - let me educate you how things like that are done in adult world. We, adults, request permission to do things that would normally breach the rules, explain our reasons to do that, and ask the other party to understand our situation. Which usually results in a lot of "that's not normally allowed, blah-blah, but considering the circumstances, blah-blah, grant an exception this once". What people and organisations tend to not like is w…

Projecting much? Also, i assume parents of the kid with chemo contacted the school about it, not just had their kid one day show up like this. Plus, what kind of child are you to try to conflate a medical condition with "we just felt like doing it"?
/r/MensRights22/05/25 09:36 AM

It's kind of complicated. On the one hand, it's great to support your friend, but on the other: it's not like school to decided to just punish them at random, because someone at staff didn't appreciate the gesture - they have violated school rules by doing that, rules that they were aware of and agreed to obey by to attend the school.

This is such a good article to show up the typical bias when talking about women, since this one is honest and shows both absolute numbers AND percentages. 733k of women in prisons sounds like something feminists would put into a headline to drum up support, but below it shows that it's less than 10% of total prison population (which is 93.2% male). It lists countries with highest amount of female inmates, but when adjusted for the population: China, Brazil and Russia just drop off the list (cou…

Yes, a punishment for the first time offence only and only incase it didn't result in bodily serious harm, and even then it's still punished by a sum of over an average monthly salary or a quite lengthy incarceration. Also, notice anything missing? Like, you know, a law that would apply punishment for domestic abuse on women? Yeah... If anything, that law kind of pushed things towards the equality rather than any form of discrimination against women. Now if only same could be said about: conscri…

"Get away" - because they are women. Because in gynocentric cultures it's extremely frowned upon to hold women accountable for their actions, let alone crimes. It's better to just give a slap on the wrist and sweep the whole thing under the rug. But i more meant why women like here can even get to attain a teaching position in the first place.

That's quite a reductive statement... But there is a quite significant and entirely correct message in it, and it's, funnily enough, the very first sentence: This is why women remain children all their lives We, as a society, completely infantilise girls, since... pretty much kindergarten. they are never made to grow up. Unlike boys, who are forced to confront consequences of their actions, to think ahead, to work hard to earn things... Girls are always forgiven, it's never their fault, and even…

So they should skip relationships altogether. If they don't have a man shackling them to the stove and undermining all their efforts - who are they going to blame in 20 years for not accomplishing anything with their life and only having crushed dreams? It’s men that declare war No, that's politicians. it’s men that drop the bombs, it’s men that burn down cities, it’s men that gun down civilians. Yeah, funny how that tends to happen when it's only men who get forced into military service. Women are just along for the ride (for most of human history). Yeah, but we don't live in the "most of human history". We live in modern world, where women are hardly just "along for the ride"

Not only was she not "sexually discriminated" against, but she was, in fact, given special treatment for years, and she's now throwing a tantrum because she's no longer going to be receiving special treatment. I know in 2004 you had Kris Kristofferson playing Whistler in Blade, a character who was black in the comics That's a funny case. And even then, that wasn't done for the sake of swapping race (like it is done now) - it was done because main cast "needed" to have starpower, and some races were underrepresented in Hollywood (and while we're at it, asians probably had it least bad in that regard, since there were at least couple of them - most other ethnicities were not rep…

You know the drill: "rules for thee, but not for me"
/r/MensRights05/05/23 10:52 AM
11

First, i said 2-3, not 3-4. Second, kids are usually staggered, meaning even with 3 kids, the oldest would usually be in late middle school by the time 3rd is born, and as such basically requires no maintenance from the parents, unlike small children, and, if anything, usually gets saddled with "taking care of your siblings". Third, kids are in school for half of the day, except the weekends when, surprise, father is home and is expected to "do his part".
/r/MensRights03/05/23 09:21 PM
19

Well, it's just a natural evolution of an even older trope of "absentee neglectful father who is barely even aware he has kids, contrasted by a loving, caring and attentive mother". You know, because back in those days fathers were expected to work dawn-till-dusk, to provide for the family (aka pay for the 4-5 people expenses out of his single salary), so that the mother could afford to relax at home all day and pay attention to kids.

I've seen a LOT of criticism and outright hate toward Aho Girl in the west when it was airing, despite the fact that it's a (severely toned down) "typical" comedy anime, just with gender switch between the idiot and the straight man...
/r/MensRights03/05/23 06:46 PM
6

Notably, this has mostly gone away in the last 5 or so years. Back in 90s-2010s literally every comedy/romance anime was about either female-on-male abuse, or about how much of an incompetent idiot the male protagonist is, these days the trope is almost entirely dead (if you don't count occasional trash like Hajimete no Gal, which, surprise-surprise, was written by a woman)

Start watching anime. This has been a trope in a lot of anime for the past 20-something years, but i have noticed a significant reduction of it in the past... about 5 years. So, having read up on it a bit... This is kind of insane. Considering it's a female on male assault, it might not be as easy of a case as it would be if the roles were reversed. Some law firms might want to stay out just to avoid being smeared by feminists who would no doubt come out to girl's defence should this come to court, as her being seen as aggressor would "undermine their female empowering work and hurt girls everywhere", basically the same shite they try to push every time people try to persecute false accusers

Why are you trying to gaslight people into thinking i'm anti-abortion? You have said "woman not being able to obtain an abortion should be taken into account when sentencing". Sentencing for what? For illegal abortion? Well, that doesn't make any sense, as if abortion is illegal, then how would not having access to an abortion be a softening factor when sentencing someone for an illegal abortion? What DOES make sense is when we're talking about sentencing a mother for murdering her child (and oh…

Not necessarily. For example, in our company we also have the M/F and M-only bathrooms. Is it discrimination? Out of context - probably. But what about in context of out of ~80 employees using those 2 bathrooms, only <10 being female? What's the context about this company?

It's trained on documents found on the internet. And this is the bias on the internet, so it's not surprising. Not the case for these kinds of responses. Any time bot refuses to do something and gives an excuse - that's a hardcoded behaviour by devs.
/r/MensRights02/02/23 12:06 PM

What's particularly of note is that you don't get this type of behaviour from training the network - someone had to intentionally code in a thing to make it refuse to do it for white people or men.

It's not. Umm... Literally is. Like, that's the literal definition of "equality". And one more thing, rest assured that, should things really get tough, women would get a pass to stay away from war, while men would still be seen as cannon fodder. Real focus should be fighting for a CHOICE Yes, because in that case they definitely won't just throw away the choice and also force-draft only men...

Literally nobody thinks that. When man cheats - it's because he's a horny beast who can't keep it in his pants. Or a million other excuses why it's the cheating victim's fault.

"Go woke - go broke" refers to the fact that if you start to, say, write movies around the agendas and quotas, rather than let your writers actually be creative (and, to begin with, not hire writers for their talent, and rather for what "oppressed" groups they belong to) - you're gonna churn out shitty-to-mediocre material (from everything i see, this movie was "subpar", barely grazing the bottom half of "mediocre"), which, naturally, means it will not earn any money for you.

That seems like a textbook definition of a "false accusation".

It’s not discrimination, this is in the constitution. Women not being allowed to vote or own land also was in the constitution. So that wasn't discrimination either? Or do we have a classic case of double standards here?

What "pussies"? Their government is giving them civilian weaponry and throwing them against an organised army and vehicles. It's literally a meatgrinder. And it isn't done in a war for survival like in WW2, but in a coup to simply overthrow the government and replace US puppets with Russian ones. There is a huge contradiction. There wouldn't be any contradiction between just stating neutral facts like "lesser percent of men wear masks" and "women don't want to get vaccinated", but that's not what she did - she editorialised and added her opinions (and emotions, lots of emotions) to it, to colour one party putting themselves and people around them in danger as being the bad guys, but then when the other party does the exact same thing (putting themselves and others in danger) - they are p…

Plenty of male teenagers and even kids are punished much harsher for lesser crimes. Sure, teens tend to get away with crimes far more easily than adults, but not in open&shut cases of murder like this. This is at least 80% because of their gender, and maybe 20% because of the age.

Not really. Sure, the part about not getting attention is pure speculation, but it's true that more teachers are female, and it's true (as in proved by studies) that females tend to give better treatment to females much more often than males to males... So outcome remains the same - it is a safe assumption that female teachers give preferential treatment to female students.

You don't kill "babies". It's illegal (well, not really - women can kill babies in countries where "infanticide" is a thing and get away with slap on the wrist for it, but that's a different topic). You can, however, legally remove a lump of flesh and stem cells from woman's womb.

What about requiring that you don't exceed certain percent of employees of a specific gender? Also how are gender-specific jobs legal? Surely that is the very definition of gender discrimination.
/r/MensRights05/08/20 05:08 PM

Pretty sure neither are gender quotas for jobs, as they require organisations to turn away competent people based on their gender, and yet they not only exist, but also backed by the very same laws that prohibit discrimination.

The law prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender, but does make exceptions for the protection of privacy or personal safety. I really don't get this part. So it's not ok to discriminate, but you can freely discriminate against one gender if you have an excuse of privacy or safety? Why not make said privacy and safety apply to both genders then?

If you're a chick, park in the male spot I don't care. Of course you don't care - because those don't exist. Use the toilet in the men's bathroom see if I give a shit That's nice of you, now go use female bathroom and see if they return the sentiment. It's not about what she can do (though lets not kid ourself - if she tries to do any reforms or be benevolent in any way - she will get assassinated within a week). It's about how people are suddenly 100% behind NK being ruled by a bloody dictator, as long as said dictator has a vagina.

"Morality", eh? Where have i head that before... OH, right, from crowds lynching people who they considered guilty. If she had injured or killed him in self defence, that would've been one thing. If she went mental and hurt him, like she did, and then got locked into loony bin for the rest of her life, that would be another thing. But she did the latter, and was set free afterwards, almost like she didn't commit a crime at all.
/r/PussyPass17/04/20 12:38 PM

And that gives her the right to assault him how, exactly? If you justify her assault and mutilation, isn't it a bit hypocritical to then blame him for abuse? Because from the position of 3rd party - both had commited a crime, but one got away with it.
/r/PussyPass17/04/20 12:27 PM

So what you're saying is... If somebody hurt you, you have legal right to mutilate then in horrific way and not be held accountable for it? Why do we even need police for? Let's just dish out "justice" ourselves as we see fit.

The point, is that your presented 3rd opinion is just a rewording of the second opinion, not a third one.
/r/MensRights14/04/20 11:50 AM

Those would be considered aggressive, since you have to touch your opponent to perform them, and it will led to your opponent getting hurt when they fall, even if it is their own fault. So at the end of the day you defending with those will still get treated as aggression.

What 13yo would in their right mind read a book about how boys are different from girls, written in patronising tone, where 80% of pages are crude illustrations, and employing term "cooties"?
/r/MensRights13/04/20 02:34 PM

You do realise that we, adults, can take it with a grain of salt, but 2-4yo, the bloody target audience take it at a face value, especially when a parent reads it to them?

Would like to see the gender ratio of the top governmental officials in those countries. Because attributing country's efficiency with dealing with pandemic solely to PM is only slightly less ignorant than attributing it to the Queen.

I didn't know suicide had a "victim". Though that's a good example, as in case of suicide, in countries where it is considered an actual crime, person attempting it is punished, not treated as a victim.
/r/MensRights10/04/20 06:07 AM
3

How is it a conundrum? You can't be victim of a crime you yourself commited, so you can't be both victim and the criminal. So are they victims of a crime? Well, no, since if they are victims - who commited the crime? So the only logical outcome - they are the perpetrators and nothing else. If anything, they are perpetrators not just in pedophilia, but also in planting said CP content to unsuspecting victims who buy their nudes.

Like i always say - there's little glory and a LOT of work (and risk) in bringing some equality to women in countries where they are treated like 2nd class. The main point is not that they did it - it's a common sense to do that, given the gender ratio who would attend the concert (even though it would make more sense to just make both bathrooms unisex, but you won't expect common sense out of feminists). Best part - original article quoted in this one offhandedly mentions that she hit her teammate, and then proceeds to play the sympathy card for the assaulting bitch by dedicating a paragraph to her becoming a mother at 19 (have a sympathy for a poor gal, would you?) and that she uses MMA to deal with her stress (can't you see? It's not her fault she assaulted a person - it's just her built up stress from being a young mother!)

Not sure why you're being downvoted, since you're obviously right. Not only can mother opt to kill the baby (meaning their needs come second to hers), but how the child support is spent is solely at mother's discretion, to the point she can choose not to spend any of that money on the child, with no accountability.
/r/MensRights15/02/20 12:51 PM

In France, for example, not only can you not dispute your paternity, it is illegal for a man to do paternity test without mother's consent. The only exception is the court order which, obviously, never happens.

Still a bad solution. Imagine paying 1/3+ of your income for 18 ears, only to then get a chance of clawing that money back through court, which will likely incur some more spending, on a lawyer and all the court procedures. And mind you, even if you win, i do not believe for a second court would order a female to pay same unreasonable amount per month you were forced to - no, they would likely assign some minor amount, something low enough that it won't endanger her life style, meaning you will …

Why not? We're not talking about killing a baby - we're talking about extracting a fetus that didn't even finish forming properly. There are a LOT of issues adjacent to that (like how woman may decide to abort even if father wants to keep it and there's nothing he can do, but if wants are reversed - man is stuck with child support and being listed as father), but how is the abortion itself controversial at all?

Wait, how is this bad? Urinals themselves are by definition discriminative against men, so them being replaced with proper stalls is a net positive for everyone

That would be "mansplaining"

You know, i assumed that being asked to shut up, aka "to not exercise their speech" for the sake of free speech, was obvious enough contradiction that anyone with intelligence level above 5yo would understand it was not meant seriously. Especially in the comments to an oxymoronic post. I guess i was proven wrong by you. Be proud of it.

"Positive" discrimination? So then, making something male-exclusive is also "positive" discrimination? I mean, it would be pretty positive for men.

What kind of tripe is this? I barely made it through the first paragraph and i already have enough rant material to reach reddit comment char limit. But let's be short: When a female artist made auction history last October, a man nonetheless managed to steal the limelight. Excuse me, but this is not "stole the limelight", it's called "being better". You don't get to say that limelight was stolen just because people found some else's work more interesting. Especially considering... Five bidders …

can never succeed. I dunno about that... Considering men's rights are seen as joke and seeing how anyone advocating them is immediately labeled as "incel who is throwing a fit because he can't get laid, what a looser"... I'm pretty sure feminism is succeeding, terrifyingly so.

Men also seem to have more urinals since they don't require as much space as a stall but I can't confirm this. That's the theory, but in practice you tend to get same amount of units, only in men's bathroom half of those are stall-less non-private urinals.

Had exact same situation at the last work place. It was 4 floor building, with female bathrooms being on 1st and 3rd floor, male on 2nd, and unisex on 4th. Females would routinely go into bathroom on the second floor to use the sink, and bitched loudly when they were told it was MEN'S BATHROOM, but on the very few occasions men went into one of their twos... There were scandals, with building administration being called and threats of police being thrown around. Though the culmination of that wa…

That's not bs - it's 100% correct. Boys are being severely punished from early childhood for displaying any signs depression and anxiety, so when they experience them later in life, being told that displaying those emotions makes them being worthless subhuman beings... The only viable outcome becomes letting them out through aggression.

so what happened to that standard? suddenly now we're telling people they're not allowed to feel uncomfortable sharing showers/changing rooms/toilets with persons of the opposite sex, and that one persons feelings trump literally everyone else's. Not to sound transphobic, but... "yes". It's basically same issue as with male/female rights, but with trans/cis: if trans person feels uncomfortable sharing facilities with their real sex peers - they should be allowed to use whichever sex's facility t…

I seem to recall there was a spin-off character who was basically a generswap of Dora, no? I think it was Daniel or Diego, or some name like that. I get the point of this article, but there's a difference between taking a jab at absolutely batshit insane demands sjw and feminazi make, and lowering yourself to their level. *thinks about media his was exposed to since childhood* You mean to how men are killed off unceremoniously in droves and no one bats an eye, but when woman snubs her toe it suddenly becomes a pivotal moment of drama for an entire movie? How men are always portrayed as either dumb as cavemen, driven by nothing but basic instincts and only good for fighting and manual labour, or as manchildren that their "mature" female peers have to begrudgingly tolerate; and how women are portrayed as hyper-inte…

I want to feel sympathy for the victim of the domestic abuse, but... If genders were reversed - he would've gotten life sentence and was very likely to get killed in prison. She got a fairly light sentence for a premeditated murder, dismemberment and whatever kind of inhumane atrocity feeding corpse's genitals to dogs falls under. Correction, Up TO and IF she is found guilty.

does it really destroy sexual pleasure? It just lessens it quite a bit due to lack of friction from skin. However, and why i suspect american mothers are so adamant about defending the practice, circumcision makes it impossible to masturbate without lotion and/or some external aid.

Literally was in that situation way back in the middle school. I wasn't suspended (i don't think that is a thing in my country), but (only) my parents got called in and situation was presented to them as me beating up a defenceless girl after she lightly teased me. Needless to say, the consequences for me were quite... drastic back at home. Girl? No reprecaution, afaik.

Well, they have been overstepping the border of what could possibly be viewed as fight for equality by anyone with a brain for over 2 decades now. Nowadays they are openly abusing men, while still blaming men for it. And still no one cares, and an attempt to not even do something or complain, but to even draw attention to the fact it happens get labeled as either as toxic masculinity afraid of loosing its grasp on society or even as "basement dwelling menchildren throwing a tantrum" (I mean, com…

Nothing will happen. She never pressed legal charges, so she's technically innocent. And she didn't need to press any legal charges as in today's political climate verbal ones are more than enough to damn a man for life.

They will NEVER balance. People will never accept persecuting females for false sexual offense accusations, because feminists will always screech about how it will discourage victims coming forward and will encourage men to rape and get away with it (completely ignoring how current situation lets women destroy lives of men and get away with it). And you will never get people to not immediately treat any such accusations as a priori true because, once again, feminists will screech about how dare …

That... Idiotic. That's like saying that prosecuting murderers who confessed to murder is bad, because it will encourage future murderers to not confess. I think you're missing a significant detail here - a serious life-destroying crime was committed and you're saying that the perpetrator should be let walk away scot-free, giving other potential offenders clear signal that there are no consequences for their actions, it's open season.
