It's a movie about how single mothers enable abuse and create pathology in their sons. It shows a man's struggle and how he gains personal power and freedom. That's against the narrative. Then the film itself is original, well made and written unlike all the other crap that Hollywood's making. Of course they'll hate on it. The film deserves all the success it's getting. 100% agreed. The writers/producers of these woke shows think people judge based on race, gender, class, when it's only they themselves that do that. Rey in SW is just like this Batwoman character in that she just has power without going through any hardship (divorce, anyone?). Luke's saber and force powers for example. 29M quit software industry to change careers into illustration. I've been living on the money I saved, travelling Europe and staying in hostels living from a hand lugagge case.
