If men only want you sexually and not romantically, that is a personality issueThis reminds me of a girl I talked to off a dating app for a while. Jaw dropping figure, pretty face, good goals in life. But literally learning more about her made me not even want to go on a date, I became disgusted. I learned she was desperate for a man to take her seriously/to be loved. Ok, not too bad? Probably stemmed from insecurity as she used to be overweight. That was workable. All the while she was telling me about a friend who was trying to fuck her that she hung out with, one of man… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/25 12:36 AM
The advice that “men need to stop showing interest in order to actually attract women” only works for certain top % men. It’s horrible advice and a catch 22 situation. The moment I stopped putting in so much effort, to be romantic, to be considerate, etc, I received far more attention from those I was dating. I agree that not all guys get this by default. But it’s still a useful tool when you actually manage to date someone as a regular guy. It’s still applicable. Because god forbid being a romantic man. Dating someone I see as short term currently(I don’t see her as marriage material, and never can), though she doesn’t know that. I have an unfortunate history… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/25 12:17 AM
Women aren't going to drastically change their lifestyle so that someday you might want to marry them.Oh, I don’t expect them to. I’ll still be disgusted by it though. It’s one of my personal criteria where if you have a certain past, even if we have an amazing relationship, amazing compatibility, I’ll never marry you. I’ll never get down on my knee for someone, to share the future I built with long nights studying/working, while they had a colorful/fun past. The term is captain save a hoe, and I view that as a complete failure in life. I don’t expect them to change their behavior, not at all. I… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/25 12:00 AM
What do you mean you can’t be vulnerable??Yea, just about every girl I cared about(loved) that I’ve ever been vulnerable with used it against me/lost respect. It’s funny that you’ve never seemed to have encountered it? Same with my brother given his dating experiences. The girl who he’s going to propose to has never seen that man be vulnerable with her I’m rather sure. He’s confessed he feels bad he cannot give her how he used to be, a far more caring emotional man. He’s had his heart broken enough that he thinks his capacity for love i… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/01/25 07:10 PM
Which Type of Partner Do You preferMost would prefer a 2. But I’ve never met a 2 dating. It’s either: 1. Anxiety, wants you to coddle them. You make the decisions, like where to go out to eat or other important ones. Even if upset, they’ll ignore it in favor of keeping the peace sometimes, but not very well. Builds resentment. What you don’t understand about 1. is that many women WANT to be in the position where they don’t deal with decisions/pressure. Honestly turns me off as a guy how many I meet like this. I’m trying to date a… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/25 02:00 AM
