The juctice system is totally fucked up and overegulated. There is no proper rehabilitation system in place and the system makes very little distinction between violent crimes and minor offences as both affect people's lives when it comes to work and finding jobs equally. At least that is the cast in Anglo countries. In Europe and Russia there is a clear difference between violent offenders that are danger to society and petty offences that don't affect people other than for paying fines.
