She really went from, stop hurting men to, woman are subhuman and shouldn’t vote in the blink of an eye. She’s insane.

True, helluvabos is a great animator and definitely has a more female audience, for them to so blatantly confront their audience like that is not small.

They want power without responsibility, thats tyranny.

Yeaah, I used to have an interest in the kink community but dear god they blatant sexism in there is bad. Its not worth trying to get into personally, I do still like some stuff but I’d rather find a partner not in that community. I’ve never met a woman in the kink community that didn’t come across misandrist and angry. Seems like the sane kinky woman stay out of that community too.

I got circumcised later in life for medical reasons. The other posts are right, you do need help/therapy. Its not gonna ruin your life, political stuff aside. I hope you recover.

Its never been a gender war though, usually its a more obvious above ground country vs country or kingdom vs kingdom war. This is new, and has already been called a silent genocide. It will most likely get critically bad before anyone will be brave enough to stand up against modern feminism.

You’re not wrong just late to the party. They’re already in politics, drive the direction for health and mental care, drive what way government programs go. They even manipulate statistics, since its been shown that surveys where the question favors men as victims will often have that question removed. sauce

Feminism was all just about projecting
/r/MensRights11/07/23 03:59 PM

Feminism is a hate group. Hate groups like exploiting people in bad places and aiming their pain into anger in their favor. The Nazi’s did it. The KKK did it. And Feminism did it. edit: formating. edit 2: And going against them will hurt you or worse.
/r/MensRights09/07/23 06:12 AM

Because it would be insane to fight a battle on 2 fronts. Feminism is the bigger issue for men’s issues to even have any political foothold. You need to understand we don’t have that much political say yet. And thats because of feminism, how do you expect to fight anything else without first being taken serious enough to do so?

The problem personally was that after going through 5-6 therapists that barely think something is wrong. each having a year of waiting time. Its very demotivating. I’ve seen people die just trying to keep motivated through that alone.

Its mostly because feminists are an actual political force with political influence and ARE blocking very important changes that men need to be heard at all. Just from the top of my head: Feminists organizations removing polling questions where men are found to be the majority victims Protesting men’s shelters for DV Blocking the rape definition being changed from to unconsensual penetration to unconsensual sex. Blocking funding for men/boys mental health issues I know there are a lot more but y…

I understand your complaints but GTA being about realism is quite a bit off. GTA has always been a caricature of real life making fun of everything at every corner. So having a girlbossing main character makes sense. Its the exact dumb shit GTA has always been about. Trevor was also worlds most aggressive redneck. Tommy was the most typical mobster errand boy. Etc etc.

Know multiple woman that I knew in HS were simping over teachers and other older men. More common than people think, and of course thats men’s fault even if they have no clue it ever went on.

Can attest to have had the same experience but with abuse. Hate groups love victims because they also have hate thats easy to steer

/r/MensRights05/07/23 10:52 AM

If you keep being told even respectful interaction are akin to abuse. And your history is being kettle (got that gem recently) etc. You’ll hate everyone for even looking at you (remember eyerape?). Its easy to hate when you don’t believe an entire gender could ever do anything good
/r/MensRights05/07/23 10:45 AM

Nah, its simply propaganda. They all follow the same script religiously. There are some who are genuinely hurt and need therapy. But 90% aren’t and are just riding the propaganda train. The world is in parel, and the jews men are the reason why. So do everything to ruin their lives edit: the jews part is a reference to r/Menkampf
/r/MensRights05/07/23 10:42 AM

Understandable, but for most of us feminism has hurt us a lot more than helped. But the good thing is that your gender, race or sexual orientation is not important here. Most here want people to just have their problem taken serious, we’re just more men focussed because its been absolutely abysmal.
/r/MensRights05/07/23 10:38 AM

Yep
/r/MensRights02/07/23 09:12 AM

You’re right at that last part. Always be afraid of the person with nothing to lose. And when you put them in that position, lashing out is to be expected. Ironically feminism can make the world a lot worse for woman…

Thats already happening tbh
/r/MensRights02/07/23 08:42 AM

God this one is hard to explain to people. You can’t compensate for this shit. You can’t say oh we had less of gender A so lets starts hiring only gender A even if gender B is qualified more. Sexist will always find ways to be sexist.
/r/MensRights02/07/23 08:26 AM

I love how its woman not marrying when we have multiple movements of men checking out of society and relationships.
/r/MensRights02/07/23 08:19 AM

I usually just call them sexist pigs. Its an old phrase that would be perfect for a comeback.
/r/MensRights02/07/23 08:18 AM

Slow and steady wins the race. Feminism is losing support slowly. And men’s issues are being talked about more. It is nigh-impossible for now it wont be if we keep trying
/r/MensRights02/07/23 08:16 AM

History has shown that its normal for power to be abused. And its not a gender thing. And currently they have an insane amount of power, that is actively being abused. At the end of the day they’re simply looking out for number 1, like anyone would. But thats why power needs to checked, so it doesn’t become what feminism is today.
/r/MensRights02/07/23 08:09 AM

Ironic reason to ban lmao
/r/MensRights02/07/23 07:59 AM

Yeah its quite the opposite tbh. Also what is perceived as fighting is very relative. Shouting can be seen as fighting when its basically just passionate communication.
/r/MensRights23/06/23 04:18 AM
2

Anyone who says this to a person deserves to be dropped on the spot.
/r/MensRights20/06/23 04:45 PM
5

So do woman that do anything against the grain. Seen so many stories of woman being vilified and hated because they even inferred men might not be terrible or have a female abuser they’re fighting. Always keep in mind to them its about image, not inclusion. I think the peacemaker quote is something they might have taken a bit too serious: “I cherish peace with all my heart. I don’t care how many men, woman and children I have to kill to get it”
/r/MensRights07/06/23 04:53 PM
6

Yeah this, didn’t know there was a 2nd one tbh. But we have enough problems, so do LGBTQ, neither of us really want to mix that. Preferably we could just all stand up for everyone but thats not the world we live in.

I was lucky that my mom did believe me when I was a kid. She still talks sometimes about how I was literally kicking and screaming afraid to go to school when I was 6. They eventually found how much abuse (I was actually not even close to worst) they had been covering up. My mom moved me to a different school and I think they’re shut down now.

/r/MensRights18/05/23 04:53 PM

Absolutely well said. Been a victim of abuse by woman multiple times in my life, been SA’d by woman and so much more. This is the only place it feels like there is any sympathy for that, if they hate this place so much, then they should have made the world more compassionate to those issues. It is a mixed bag sometimes for sure, but at least I’m not being bullied for having been abused.

It is depression, and try to find help if you can. I’ve been through stuff like this myself too including surviving an attempt. It can truly get better and believe me that hearing that when I was depressed usually pissed me off, but they were right…

I’ve been circumcised as an adult for valid medical reasons and by my own choice, was awake during the procedure itself too with local sedatives. And yeah this is very heavy and invasive procedure, no clue how this is normal or even ok in the US. Its very much gender based and genital mutilation for a child.
/r/MensRights18/05/23 04:34 PM

You’re not wrong so not sure why the downvote. I grew up in europe and reforming education is already being tried in a lot of different ways. Not even to speak of the sexism, but in general the current standard is pretty bad compared to some of these more progressive methods.

I have a deaf partner and yeah the stats for deaf people having issues with police run ins is kinda wild. This is horrible but sadly not even that strange, glad to see it get attention because its just straight abuse.

The joke is that pedophiles are indeed rampant on this sub in the form of articles of woman having sex with their students so….
/r/MensRights06/05/23 05:01 PM

We can just move to another sub. Plus we know mods will ban that kinda thing too so they’ll have a case to say it was an attack too. If they do that, they’ll effectively signal that they’re willing to falsely incriminate others.

Seeing more and more news and public support for men’s issues. Seeing a lot more pushback publicly vs feminism. They’re about to tip hard into the boy who cried wolf and people will stop caring and believing anything about their cause. Fake callouts to people being pedo’s is laughable and is what children do to try and get taken serious. They’re just trying to bully people and if they want to waste resources to get an entire subreddit investigated for pedo’s, let them. But thats gonna come back …

Man I’m just tired of being treated like shit and told I deserve it while someone who grew up having equal rights holds a history neither of us were alive in over my head without even considering that men also had a lot of shitty things to deal with in those times.

People gave you valid criticism and without being mean and you respond defensively. Its not only immature but it shows how you came here out of bad faith and just gives the impression you’re the exact problem people here tend to get away from. If it was her in the situation and I had to go to these lengths to support her, I would and I wouldn't let her stop me. Men want to protect the women we love and cut them a break, make life easier for them, make sure they feel safe and taken care off. It's our weakness and our strength. This woman felt the exact same way about her man and I commend it. But in general this would be equality the wrong way around IMO. No one should have to go to that length to try and help the people they love. It …

That 2nd part is where I get so pissed off too. I have and always will help and defend anyone’s rights. But once it came to my own, we have clearly been abandoned and its left a very bitter taste. I wont actively go out and do damage, but I’m not gonna jump to help people anymore the way I used to.

Most of them just want to have responsible people in front of them, that they can trust in regard to birth control. And that right there is the problem and why you have people desperate for control. If you don’t inherently trust someone then that person will claw for control. And the jealousy absolutely comes from the lack of symptoms originally. IRL there are more than enough people that are healthy minded. But we can’t ignore the loud minority that continuously has been undermining men’s right…

You kinda answered your own question. The parents weren’t doing that or weren’t capable. Whatever the reason the parents DID reach out for help apparently and the help said no. This is one of those cases where we can honestly point the blame to anyone and not a single person, and I’d say the parents get the biggest benefit of the doubt. Between the world being a shitshow and trying to raise a kid I can see multiple ways this can slip through the cracks. At least they reached out for help when th…

Thats the part I don’t get about anyone apposing the male pill. It would just allow more people in a relationship to share responsibility and or burdens. Some woman also have issues taking the pill or both could. In reality its more options but if you look at all the opposition its just jealousy and scared to lose their control.
/r/MensRights27/04/23 09:01 PM
2

Actually doing it is one thing but the conversation about male birth control went very quickly from “Wow they have no insane list of symptoms” to “I don’t want them to have birth control because they would lie”. In the end it is never about the act itself, its about being the only one in power.

It quite literally is, if society has a bias so will chatGPT. It is only trained on already available information. So what you’re seeing here is a very real reflection of society in extremely condensed form.

There have been tons of documented cases where surveys and research is manipulated to make woman seem oppressed. This is then used to fund woman’s causes (shelters, help programs, school, the list is extremely long here.) They then keep throwing men under the bus. Its like a societal level defamation movement. And the result? Higher suicide rates, higher depression rates, lowest housing rates, lowest fucking everything at this point. Feminism didn’t just hurt men, some higher ups and researchers…

I find in general the entire list disingenuous. Feminism has stood in the way of that more both today and historically. They raised awareness by being the villain in the story. Thats not helping at all… Its like saying a burglar is helping you find a weakness in your home security. But you still got robbed, and as men feminism robbed us, in some cases more literally than you would think.

The only thing you can change is what you want to change. So honestly this is a great start. I’d even say get off the internet as much as you can its a cesspool for hate and there is always a popular flavor of discrimination. Mostly just get your feet wet in more mixed spaces and try to just maintain a surface level friendship. If thats too much disregard the “stay off the internet” part and join groups on discord where you feel more comfortable talking. Make sure to pick a server with good mods…

Sadly this kinda stuff happens all the time. I’d report it to the police at the very least its slander. Groups like that often dox too. This is what happens when you take victim mentality and need to find any excuse to be protected. They’ll “”””””””””””””””protect “””””””””””””””” themselves no matter how many people it hurts.

Used to be more pro feminist in the past and this is mostly a bad take. Yes there are the typical “use it to get laid people” but mostly its simply that it has been very successful in convincing people that woman were being fucked over royally. It is simple empathy that is being abused. Even now I’m still for woman’s rights, but also for men’s or any other group. To me they’re people and I focus on the ones that need the most help, which is currently men. I can assure you the most common “male f…

I’d still argue feminism, because of this still hurts woman more than it helps. Imagine being an outlier, you’d get treated like shit too. How about being a victim? Try being believed when a fuckton of people see themselves as victims of something that is just a mild annoyance. With any group that goes to far the pendulum will eventually swing the other way too. The eventual backlash on this is gonna be horrifying.

If you see woman as just people, same as men, then its not surprising that they’re more likely to be. When you have the privilege of being believed without a shred of evidence, thats power. And those with power tend to use and or abuse it.

The last 2 minutes of that video paraphrasing: “In private they are very concerned about boys and men, but publicly they don’t mention it possibly because they’re afraid it will hurt their feminist credibility” This is the true highlight here, we have tons of woman too seeing the issues men have too, that are genuinely not feeling comfortable speaking up in the face of feminism. That alone makes feminism quite the poison imo.

Yes and no. Its another form of discrimination, its our generations flavor of allowed discrimination. All the other forms still exist tho, and to make matter worse, if you’re part of multiple groups that are/were ok to be discriminated against (poc and male) then you’re about 10x more likely to have issues in life.

Slightly off, its not that most of us don’t feel compassion, its self preservation. Our lives are being destroyed just by existing. People have been sued for saving others lives. Feminism, is ironically to blame for it. They made men scared to help them at all.

I also hate how this conversation is always about stopping shaming. But I can’t help but think of how unrealistic it is to stop that on such a large scale. And even then people often feel insecure even without shaming because their thing isn’t the popular thing. All these problems have the same central problem: lack of personal accountability. Your feeling are your own, and your own to deal with. This doesn’t mean that on the opposite spectrum we should be ok with bullying either. But we need bo…

From my perspective and using a IPV (Inter parter violence) study that I didn’t save. Some are more aware than others, its an individual thing. But in general the problem is the view that woman can’t hurt men. Most of domestic violence is started by woman, a staggering difference in fact, that study showed over 73% by own admission start the domestic violence. In lesbian couples it stays that high. But when its only men (gay couples) this number goes down all the way to about 23%. It also shows …

Rule to live by: You alone are responsible for your actions. Take it to heart and base your boundaries of it. Anyone invalidating your issues or feelings? They’re the asshole no matter what statistics say, no matter what their sob story is. Call them out for being a cunt. They’re the ones invalidating you, they’re the ones being bitter, they’re the ones who chose to hurt you, so don’t feel bad for calling them out on it.

So some things to add reading this article. It would have been ok to just hire men for the role, but the auditions needed to be open for everyone. Because potatoes contain enough vitamins to genuinely support you through your entire diet. Saved entire civilizations from starving in the far past. No, very pedantic, but a diet is just “your eating habits” what you described is specifically a weight loss diet. Not sure why its called a “detox” nowadays. But I know dieticians have tried a potato only diet for various research reasons and its apparently very healthy and perfectly fine, one even saying: “It just gets very boring, there are only so many ways you can cook a potato”. But it serves no purpose other than it being a bland but healthy diet. There is a reason it was the hero of the hunger winters.

Yes, you are ALWAYS responsible for your own actions, since only you can perform them. You’re very much missing the mark here. Traditionally it was both men and woman gaining value being together. Single men were also shamed in the old days and they absolutely gained from being wed. Nowadays the problem is that a woman truly do not need a man. All the value they gained from being in a marriage they already have outside of it. The problem is that men have been thrown under the bus to get it, and now men live their entire lives with decreased value. Its painfully obvious if you’ve b…

I never liked this approach because you’re just excusing discrimination because they might have been discriminated against. You’re doing the exact thing that caused the problem to begin with. But worse of all it also ignores because of discrimination that the one supposed “privileged” race, gender etc. was privileged in the first place and with 8 billion people in the world that is an insane and discriminatory claim.

I highly doubt at this point this will ever turn around without a major tragedy. Creating men’s representation groups is all and well but people are afraid to stand up for men, indoctrinated to hate men, or simply don’t care. Even if we see an idiom of traction or success it gets taken down making this fear of punishment when standing up for men even more real.

/r/MensRights12/12/22 09:16 AM

I would confidently say that yes they are. But its not directly tied to gender. Its currently not punished but even actively encouraged for woman, and the consequences are barely existent. When violence is a tool more easily at your disposal them its not surprising it will be used.
/r/MensRights12/12/22 09:12 AM
1

Historically this isn’t an uncommon kind of scenario, demonize a group, punish those who say otherwise, and make them both deal out and fear the punishment for resisting. I’ll bet you both men and woman will eventually be part of open violence against men if this continues.
/r/MensRights12/12/22 09:04 AM

Even sadder is they already set a clear precedent. Its already borderline illegal to stand up for men, and boy have they made sure we know it. Even woman standing up for men are getting heavily attacked. I hate drawing comparison to nazi’s but condemning a large group based on a single feature and then forcing them into silence and making people scared to stand up for them is exactly how it all started. We clearly haven’t learned anything.

I get your point, except it has not been pointless, playing the victim card has been VERY effective. We’re still in a stage where we don’t want to stoop to that level, and I’d rather we didn’t. But it is undeniably effective. Its classic manipulation to cry tears, and make people feel bad for you, to then paint anyone you want as the problem.
/r/MensRights24/11/22 09:07 PM

Sadly its not about repression, or at least intentional ones. Its a huge empathy gap. Very subtly (and sometimes very blatantly) you’re treated worse in almost every place of society, it teaches you that you can not open up or count on society itself being there for you. Men are neglected on a very large scale. Simpel as that. And that allows for bullying, targeting, blaming and all that to go through. This is the biggest one for me. They always seem to assume everyone has power except for them… no one has much power at all. In fact, woman currently wield MUCH more.

I doubt it will be better, the glaring problem is that we don’t know. Men aren’t even given the opportunity to find out, so the little statistics we have for men on this is incomplete

Men are just treated awful. No more needs to be said.
/r/MensRights24/10/22 03:49 PM

I’d say this is mostly the reason why woman are FAR more likely to initiate the divorce. There is a huge power imbalance here. I think a lot of men who are unhappy or even abused and scared are still in these marriages because they know they risk everything going out.

Power, this would be a lot more 50/50 if men knew the process was fair. It seems like people think men are that much different than woman, we’re not. We too are emotional beings, but it is safer to be abused in a bad marriage than be potentially homeless and condemned.

Give them a stage to talk on and you will hear them loud and clear. Men complain about it, that I can guarantee. But we’re prosecuted for it. So you’ll rarely see someone feel safe enough to.

“If you have a problem with it, complain to the creeps who make it necessary to discriminate” this person is garbage.
/r/MensRights18/10/22 03:35 PM

Its gotten to full on paranoia, at some level we have to accept the danger of interacting with strangers. Men aren’t immune to this either and looking at marriage and rates of false accusations, or even how quickly men get blamed or punished, let alone rape/SA rates when we use the definition “non-consensual” I’d easily say men are FAR more vulnerable than woman these days. Its why we constantly see articles about men not wanting marriage anymore, or woman having trouble dating. They’re doing to…

Yep, thats exactly where this “feminism/woman just want superiority” narrative comes from. I’m less pessimistic than most here I think, and don’t think that is the intent for the majority. But their actions are leading to that and I can’t really blame anyone for thinking that looking at it. And I fully understand the movement against it. I often say “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”. And I think a lot of feminists have good intentions, but are too blind to how short sighted and hu…
/r/MensRights11/10/22 04:03 PM

Fucking hell you’re dense. The point is, I gain NOTHING from trying to tell you that the original post was only pointing out the difference in how both movements are perceived, and not that they think poc for some reason have it better. Thats your own interpretation. I was hoping, that telling you this we could move beyond race and just fight issues in general since no one is telling you poc have it better. But I guess you’d rather just play victim. I’m out ✌️, enjoy your self made misery.
/r/MensRights11/10/22 02:43 PM
1

I mean, even standing up against someone unnecessarily bringing in racial issues is getting me downvoted. Thats pretty much the same power feminism wields over others. If you’d rather live a life where hate and oppression are common “so you can plan your actions better” you do you. But in that case you’re also, like feminism, shooting your own movement in the foot.
/r/MensRights11/10/22 02:29 PM
3

It isn’t better, the difference is that no one sane is gonna tell you to fuck off and die for saying racism is bad. We’re fighting the downward trend here against men. Not comparing who has it better.
/r/MensRights11/10/22 01:42 PM
1

Its exactly that, its just again discrimination that has been incredibly normalized. No we’re not slaves that are being whipped but its very blatant and damaging discrimination nonetheless. Plus to anyone who’d pull put the slavery card there. We should not have to regress to that level of oppression to have issues be taken serious.
/r/MensRights11/10/22 01:19 PM
2

I mean, thats eventually gonna bite them in the ass and become “the boy who cried wolf”. They’re genuinely gonna be making their own movement an incredible amount harder by going too far. And it already has, resistance against feminism is on a heavy rise.
/r/MensRights11/10/22 01:10 PM

This is biggest thing I find stupid about people resisting men’s rights, helping men’s right would lower false rape accusations and indirectly make it easier for real ones to be helped.
/r/MensRights11/10/22 12:46 PM

Except it does, the worlds perception has very much made getting help as a man incredibly hard, it is already a task risky enough.

Welcome to the fold, a large problem is convincing men. Its very common to find a man who has been sexually assaulted or even raped and they brush it off. Men don’t have it better, in fact we more likely have it far worse, were just used to it.
/r/MensRights03/10/22 05:51 AM

I’m seeing a movement of men treating woman the same wat how they treat us. One of the more recent examples is cheating is on the rise in men. I hate cheating, but I can’t say I’m surprised this is happening… Men tried to be civil, now they’re about to hold up a mirror and find out they were not the prettiest girl of them all.

Anecdotal AF, but my personal journey for help with severe depression consisted of 10’s of therapists most of them useless and a few even insulting me or telling me straight up to kill myself. I would have sued if I had proof of it. Worst thing is, I heard some younger friends getting the same responses and issues, so it most likely wasn’t me being unlucky as I always thought it was. The problem is that statistics consistently show woman to be the more aggressive gender by a large margin. They just rebranded their aggression as cute or necessary.

Of course they complain, historically they’ve been protected. Now they’re only starting to experience what men have been going through all this time, and the world is MUCH safer nowadays. Which was always going to be less safe and more work. A lot of people when they fought for gender equality they thought things would just get better. But they’re running into the harsh reality that men actually never had it that great. Most of our “stoicism” is a direct result of that. Equality should be about …

Your opinion is outdated and your view is wrong. Its a huge fallacy and a terrible attempt to equate men’s strength to levels of violence. It has not stopped people, in fact it is becoming more clear that woman more often abuse this idea. “I can’t hurt you because I’m weaker” say that to shards of glass or a knife… There is a difference in reporting though. Give it a go. Though I can assure you woman’s violence is heavily under represented. Its so normalized that it isn’t even registered. Loads of men inc. me didn’t even see heavy physical abuse as abuse because its so normalized. Combine that with how hard it is to get help for it and how much you lose and shamed for having been abused and I can guarantee you the stats don’t represent reality. Just ask the people around you if they’ve been groped, hit, slapped or anything like that by a woman. The…

At this point stats like this are more harmful then helpful, woman’s physical assault/abuse is not reported on at all.
/r/MensRights13/09/22 09:06 AM

Its honestly this exactly why its so hard to stand up for men’s rights. We’ve normalized the abuse to the point where we don’t even register it anymore. A lot of men don’t realize the abuse they suffered. Now tell them to stand up against woman who are very vocal about the same abuse we also suffer from CONSTANTLY, and of course the perspective sounds like men don’t suffer from it. But in reality we absolutely do. And most likely far more than woman do. Because we normalized the idea that woman …

/r/MensRights11/09/22 01:50 PM

Yes and no. Its a tough argument in general. As someone who’s always an exception for some frustrating fucking reason I have this issue a lot. And discounting the individual is not something anyone should do. But an exception should be treated as exactly that, an exception. Doesn’t mean their experience is invalid, but most likely just uncommon. But we should not dictate larger changes based on exceptions, as long as they can still get the help they need.

Coming from Europe and having needed circumcision as an adult I can safely say that indeed it should only be done when necessary. I think any rational MRA here has no intention or want to hurt woman’s rights at all. In fact I truly believe standing up for men’s will solve a lot of complaints woman have too. Sadly a lot of conversations get muddy when someone is treated unfairly in positive way (privilege) and it is seen as a right. At least I never liked touching others like that so didn’t perpetuate it. Edit: all my physical abuse, mental abuse and SA all woman.

Woman have always been the more privileged gender. And for the last 50+ years or so had the choice to do even more and get the supposed “male privilege”. Successful men do have privileges but thats an exception, especially these days, not the norm. Let alone the fact that the privileges of a successful men came from woman. The system isn’t bad itself the way its used is. Drunk/junk moms still get full custody because they’re the moms. Its that gender bias that needs to go. The joke in a lot of cases for men is that we technically have rights, but they’re being ignored by favoritism and heavy gender bias.
/r/MensRights04/09/22 07:09 PM

This is beyond fucked up and sadly common for these things. And to pander to the female audience here in the long run it hurts them too because eventually it will be “the boy who cried wolf” and then indeed real victims will get hurt and on the flip-side real aggressors have more leverage to make a case. Fighting this genuinely has 0 downsides for anyone.

I think equal 50/50 is a bit too short sighted and didn’t want to get into that. Sorry I understand how it seems like I just ignored it. I think we might differ in view how many are helpless here. I think making sure men have an equal fighting chance here would reduce this number significantly.

Eh there is 2 sides to this. We do need to work harder for these rights. But also these things are so heavily against us, most can’t afford a lawyer to begin with and the chances of winning are abysmal. So for a lot of people already experiencing the pain of divorce this fight can easily be too much. Knowing that one of men’s biggest issues in marriage is fearing the loss of their kids I’d say a lot more men would love to fight then are capable to.

The way society views men and treats men has been the biggest factor by a large margin making my path to recovery from multiple abuses an almost deadly path. And I’m clearly still bitter about it. Its been clear to me that the life for men is mostly just trying not to die. Breaking out of that is extremely tough and reserved for the lucky few.

I mean that too. But it has historically been our “privilege” to work, and try to gain wealth. Success is indeed a privilege but if you look at the average man they’re not successful… You’re more likely to kill yourself someway in pursuit of it.

The most toxic thing in modern day is how we normalized this idea that that showing emotion and criticism (for a man) is offensive. We’re not allowed to defend our boundaries or stand up for our feelings and then people wonder why men are emotionally repressed and killing themselves.

No, not in the slightest possible. It will always be rare or even non-existent in smaller communities it even does now. Just look at how small communities respond to crime vs a dense populated city. The level of arrogance needed to believe that is true is a strong depiction of how delusional people are and how easily we turn a blind eye to crimes …

This is one of our biggest fights we should stand up for. Male victimization is completely neglected, buried and even actively fought against, and our rights and resources taken away as a response. If we can get men’s victimization to be taken seriously it would be a huge blow in the anti-men rhetoric that is so insanely normalized today. We need victims of sexual assault and rape to stand up and start sharing their stories. We’ve been quiet long enough.

I think this is fair: A woman is usually the first to know when she is pregnant. I think the moment she knows and decides to keep the baby, she should sign a parental contract (not going into abortion rights here but they ofc should be factored in). Then the man has to put his signature down to either wave his rights AND responsibility or sign down as the parent. This way you have a legal contract that you agree to engage in parenting and what visitation rights might look like etc. This should a…

What do you mean what woman? There we’re at least 3 main aggressors and loads more that did “minor” things in the form of bullying, verbal abuse or sexual abuse. Then over 3 different female therapist one that refused help after suicidal thoughts were without ambiguity stated. And 2 that straight up told me to kill myself. There is no clear thread of logic between “what kind of woman” these were. Most of them were adults and the odd one out there was a class mate.

I mean, you’re not completely wrong but thats only in the most extreme of cases. Something we now see with male victims of domestic abuse, the nr.1 advice for male victims is to: “Never call the police”. The problem is that it is a balance that is so heavily swayed into woman’s favor that that is exactly what is happening to men. And we need to balance that out to give at least everyone an equal chance before we can even begin to talk about how to solve this problem further.
/r/MensRights31/08/22 04:07 AM

To your point, until we at least see fair treatment and accountability for and from woman we can’t even begin to have a useful discussion on how we could deter aggressors vs motivate victims. Your solution is literally the first step that needs to be taken for anyone to have that discussion.

If people take just a few minutes to actually think having proper rights for any gender helps everyone. You can’t distinguish between a real threat and a fake one if we see all men as a threat. That brings the problem of everyone is guilty or everyone is innocent. If we jail enough innocent men, eventually rapists will have an easy time making their case to get out. Believe all woman is hurting everyone for the exact opposite of this reason. This is just one of many examples. Edit: ergo the more…

This has been on my mind a lot lately, why men are so afraid to show emotion. And from woman its often called “Toxic masculinity” or repression. Or some sort of man thing. Except. In cases of rape or accidental pregnancy a man is still held fully accountable and loses any autonomy. So no, they don’t have the same rights. Nor should they. A woman should have full right of their body, but in case of rape or an accident men should still have the right to cut ties. Because in neither instances did a man consent.

I’m honestly willing to bet woman are currently far more aggressive then men. Any time in history that someone had this level of privilege where they don’t face consequences, aggression and heinous acts usually rise with it. Dictators, kings, any large colonizers, churches, any large group that was devoid of consequences really. At least they face some in comparison but its still a far cry from the same consequences.

Articles like this are still so far away from the core problem. Men have a lot of issues with depression, abuse and suicide etc. Obviously they don’t make great partners but instead of just doing the equivalent of “man up” they should be looking into why men have so many issues in the first place. Which leads to the fact that everyone seems to undermine men’s issues. Just like this article is doing.

I mean, thats kinda my point. Strength is highly overrated as a form of power. The way you described it, it is for men used against them and ironically now a weakness because of that because it is used as a powerful argument. Men don’t have any rights over their sperm. If a man gets raped or sperm jacked or anything like that he’s still responsible for the child and pays child support. They also have no say about keeping the baby or being responsible in this case. So no bodily autonomy over our sperm.

Both the degradation of men and the explicit calling out of woman is degrading. One is directly so, the other one is saying “I can’t stand by my own strength so I need to call out that I’m a girl/woman”.
