Because schools have to be careful not to trigger a Title IX violation, one the most popular new varsity sports on college campuses is ostensibly gender neutral: varsity e-sports. E-sports teams compete against other schools in games like Super Smash Bros and Valorant, a “tactical hero shooter” game, events that also have the benefit of being inexpensive. “Many schools recommission old rooms that aren’t seeing much use,” the author of a blog post on gamedesign.org wrote in an article charting th…

Most of the posts by both women and men in this sub are just memes. The OP is hardly unusual in this regard. But in this case the data doesn't necessarily answer the question we're interested in. OP's claim is that most people who complain about age gap relationships online are aging women. That's not the same as how you would answer in a survey. Perhaps there are lots of young women who aren't interested in dating an older guy, and dislike it when older guys hit on them, but they also aren't in…

Nobody really wants the majority of men at any age This is one of those fascinating Poe's Law type statements which could either come from a misandrist woman or a misogynist incel. Even with those two groups hating each other, they somehow manage to agree on this.

I just saw a man comment on a post about how he would love to see a woman mauled by a bear while taking a selfie in the woods, and another man not helping her. Also, I have noticed that when I write well thought out comments outlining my argument respectfully and in good faith, instead of a healthy debate, I just get told that I will die alone with my wine and cats (I don't like either of those things anyway). Or, I get called "fat and ugly". It's frustrating. That sucks. I think it's natural fo…

I actually think there are a lot of women like this, they're just way underrepresented on social media, because they're not attention seekers. And yeah, they're awesome.

But the 'intervention' is for men who don't have any success online to stop using apps and meet women through normaln socialisation. According to reddit, there's pretty much no socially accepted way to meet women IRL. If you start a conversation with her in a public place, you're a creep. If you join a club for the purpose of meeting women, you're a creep. Etc.

Mind sharing what part of the US you live in? I think it is a regional thing to some degree, e.g. in the South people marry young; in the New England area it's more common to stay single well into adulthood. If you're an aging single woman who's into intelligence, education, and earning power, moving to the SF Bay area is an easy win. Lots of single software developers there. The awkwardness stereotype is not quite as true as people say, either -- there are lots of awkward guys, but even many of…

You know they aren't well mentally if they are dating you in the first place Or maybe she just has a kink for older guys? What's wrong with that? Also, even supposing she does suffer from a mental health problem, how is dating a younger guy (as opposed to an older guy) supposed to help with that? Generally speaking an older man is gonna be more stable and reliable. Seems like that'd be a positive thing for someone who's suffering from mental health issues.

Look at what's happening in Israel right now. Israel used to be much more of a rational, secular state, with viable plans for peace. They had a minority of Orthodox jews who reproduce way above replacement, don't work in productive jobs, and are politically extreme Zionists. Over the decades, that minority grew and grew. Now the country is on a path to chaos. I think your basic point about women and men having equal bias is not too far off. But what kind of woman is going to use this cloning tec…

That surprises me, I think most guys would find a world with 70% women 30% dudes pretty enjoyable...

Women, en masses, would disagree. A woman is lucky if she has one good man drooling over her, and then she better lock that down! What's your definition of "good man"?

I have a theory that what's going wrong with online dating is that over time, the dating pool consists more and more of 2 groups: Picky women "Subpar" dudes (no job, no degree, bad haircut, poor emotional intelligence, grammar errors in profile, mirror selfies, etc.) The argument is that you will never find a single woman in her late 20s who isn't picky. If she wasn't picky, she would've settled for one of the subpar dudes. And you'll never find a single man in his late 20s who isn't subpar. If …
