artificial wombs will have a similar effect on women that mechanization in factories had on men mechanization undercut men's greater strength and ability to do physical labor in harsher conditions the artificial womb is expected to undercut women's monopoly on the ability to carry a baby to term if technology that allows 1) egg donation and 2) artificial wombs continues to progress, it could theoretically decouple women from pregnancy, thereby eliminating their monopoly on it

Where is any mention of familiarity in the study? Can't seem to find it. Instead the study seems to imply that women lose sexual motivation because they've solved the problem of acquiring male resources by forming a pair bond. Implying that women in this framework view sex as a bargaining chip to trade for the resources and use for bond formation. Because the state locks a man into providing for the woman, yes her "problem is solved" so to speak. But there is no mention that sexual interest decl…

Alimony is designed to pay her back for any childcare and homemaking she did and for any career she gave up to support him. It's not just free money). did you make this up? I can't find this anywhere. Alimony reflects a man's contractual obligation to support his wife following divorce, period. it is forward looking. furthermore if we were to use your reasoning around alimony as "compensation for past work", what about all the bills the husband paid that the wife benefitted from during the marri…

The language is gender neutral but it's written with the understanding that in the overwhelming number of cases men will be the primary earner. Furthermore, women out earning their partners doesn't mean they will not stop working once they are married which is very very common.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 07:59 PM

the phrase "benefits of marriage" is misleading, because there are none in the contact itself, only liabilities. the benefits you're referring to are by-products of a couple living together and both the man and the woman derive benefits from living together, despite delusional claims otherwise
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 06:53 PM

if marriage is bad for women, are there any respected mainstream feminist organizations providing information campaigns to women advising them to not get married?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 06:47 PM

All of the woman I know who feel strongly about marriage want kids. I believe you will find similar trends on subs like Waiting to Wed. do you feel this is an adequate method to use in order to understand aggregate behavior across an entire gender? what if another woman said all her friends want to get married because of the financial benefits the contract gives them, and therefore women in general want marriage for this reason?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 06:41 PM
3

so are women
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 05:33 PM
4

The benefits that men get that you're referring to are not the benefits of marriage. They are the benefit of simply living together. Marriage for the man doesn't specify any benefits at all. It just specifies liabilities.

"women happier single" is just deception and pandering to women's feelings. A woman claiming to be "single" is still dating men, having sex with men, getting into "situationships", maintaining online dating profiles on all the apps, etc. Or they're collecting money from an ex-husband and just staying staying "single" on paper to keep the payments coming in. It's all bs.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 11:22 AM

I generally agree with you, even though it's difficult to argue that sex is a need like food and water is. But overall I agree with you and this is why I think the near-term arrival of sex robots represents the only thing that can restore some balance or sanity to he dating marketplace. Sex robots have the potential to have a similar type of impact on women that the industrial revolution had on men, but it's arguable that both genders could actually benefit from this, since the dating market rig…

I think there will be a significant difference in sexual attraction that men and women will have toward the robots that will hit the market in the near-term. The robots that will become affordable and produced at scale will not be hyper-realistic. They will move slowly and timidly, like a slow-thinking shy person. For logistical, engineering and most importantly liability reasons, they are likely to be relatively small in stature, and relatively light. So basically the robot will be small, shy, …

I think there could be some surprises in how many decent men, or maybe even top men end up buying these robots. I'm not saying all, or most of them will go for robots, but as the features, sophistication and customizability continues to improve, it could start attracting some of these guys to at least try them out.

Technology is always improving. If artificial womb technology were to become sufficiently advanced it could eventually become a total, possibly superior, substitute to gestating a human in the womb. It could be both healthier and safer for the baby and mother alike in many instances if it improves to a certain level. If a single man of means could qualify, he could make an agreement with a female donor (or go to a future "ovary bank"?) and then make use of an artificial womb at an authorized fac…

In summary society outsourced what men used to provide in a relationship (protection, provisioning, working when the only jobs available were rough jobs in factories, mining, and construction) to the government/technology, but hasn't done the same to women (intimacy, child rearing). Once sex robots reach a certain affordability and minimum level of realism, and later when artificial wombs come out there could be a balance restored in the dating market. This difference in outsourcing, coupled wit…

Yep, TRP was spawned from PUA strategies that were effective in nightclubs in the 2000s way before it went mainstream. As it gained notoriety, people started "adding more theory" and that's when the crap started to build onto it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/25 09:59 PM

They already have these robots working in factories all over the world so robot companions are basically the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:45 PM

This is a valuable point that a lot of people don't know and would rather not know. The net-taxpayer pill is a bitter pill
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:42 PM

Have you considered the possibility that if people have a sexual outlet with a robot that perhaps the rest of the relationship would be salvaged? If each partner is sexually satisfied, there is less likely to be resentment. All of this has yet to be explored.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 04:59 PM
5

Robots and machines that work in factories don't say no either, but nobody cares about them. Maybe it's because their exterior covering is not human-shaped, even though their circuitry is near-identical to a sex robot.

Men are going to end up doing unspeakable acts of violence. I think it will go the other way as AI companion bots and other forms of technology emerge that are able to simulate intimacy. It may get to the point where ai companion bots become more attractive than a large swathe of real women. You're a student of history, so why not give an actual historical example of your claim? why is your first example a docu-fiction?

AI and humanoid robot technology will continue to advance and become more convincing and the price will gradually come down. Future humans will be interacting with robots starting in childhood and robot relationships will be entirely normal to them. The only reason why it seems weird to us is because we're not used to them and have not grown up with them.

the pandora's box that is slowly opening with the advent of AI is the new kinds of relationships that humans will form with AIs and AIs in humanoid form. yes, I know, to us, right now, it all seems very strange an "incely" but for humans that will grow up alongside AIs it will probably become quite normal.

they are a different thing but that's because male and female sexuality are also quite different women can combine a vibrator with their own imagination and that can largely handle their immediate needs for men however a large part of their sexuality is focused on accessing an entire woman, not just some anonymous genitals and then imagining the rest

None of these disprove anything I said because even if they're not better off financially, it still means they're now going to get free money and assets in exchange for doing squat for their husband. The incentive to divorce is still there for women, which is why the initiate it. If men didn't have to pay for their ex-wives, wives would stop divorcing. It's all about the money.

I don't think it tracks. The speed dating events are just a bad deal for the men. The women who show up to these have an arrogant, entitled, mercenary outlook about getting their next man (husband). They're tired, cynical and jaded from all their past relationships and are now treating the process of finding their husband as a factory-style conveyor belt-inspection of men. You're off the mark, the only thing that can make the impact on the dating market you describe is affordable sex robots. You've got it wrong and backwards, marriage doesn't cause any of those things. The men who are paid more and promoted more readily do so via their own innate talent and ability. The boy bands are typically made up of above-average looking guys and their music contracts give them a massive boost in social status. These two things are both rare among men and highly coveted by the majority of teen girls. The music is also designed to appeal specifically to them. It actually follows a very specific formula that has been reused for decades in the music industry. Girl bands just don't make music that appeals to straight teen boys. Teen boys tend to prefer music made by men.

Exactly none: the population would be chosen entirely at random. That is how you get a truly valid estimate of the population at large. Focusing on specific factors is precisely what you want to avoid because that would introduce bias in the results.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 07:14 PM

Just as is necessary for any statistical measure of a population, proper steps must be taken to ensure that the sample population is 1) large enough and 2) genuinely chosen at random. This is not hard to achieve for any properly credentialed statistical surveyor having the time and budget, and it is very common practice. This ensures that the various factors you mention are controlled for and that the estimate is valid.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 07:07 PM

a random sample of the population that meets specific statistical requirements can be enough to draw a valid estimate. it's how many studies that make estimates of large populations are done.

Sex elicits some very base, primal instincts in people that are too taboo to discuss in polite society. Many people may not have fully reconciled these instincts with their conscious views. Namely women who consider themselves feminists but also get aroused by being choked, insulted and demeaned during sex. It just is what it is.

Plenty of RPers find massive success and get what they want. If someone with RP flair is complaining on this sub, it doesn't mean that RP is flawed. In order to implement RP you have to make changes in your life that don't happen overnight and take discipline. The complainers likely haven't taken these steps. OP's comments clearly show she doesn't know RP theory and is just lashing out because she is offended by it, and is thus taking time to post about it.

Nope. You're confusing escaping loneliness with handling loneliness. Handling loneliness means dealing with it when you cannot escape it. Consider an experiment asking "who tolerates cold showers better, men, or women"? You note that women are better at not standing under shower than men, so you conclude that women tolerate the cold better than men, because they don't expose themselves to it. They're not tolerating it, they're avoiding it, which are two entirely different things. To adequately c…

I suspect that women want romantic gestures from a high value man, or man they are already attracted to (or see great potential in), because it shows a high degree of commitment to her, and removes uncertainty and doubt she may have of his willingness to be with her. I'm not sure if you were trying to prove the existence of patriarchy there or give great reasons behind the most vitriol of feminist's hatred of men, but you sure did. The first point also leaves out the fact that women fought for every one of those. They didn't fight for them, they agitated men to be granted rights without responsibilities that men had. Women have their rights because a certain critical group of men (lawyers and politicians) allowed them to have the rights and privileges and exemptions they continue to acquire today. A married man can still love his wife and be willing to commit and provide for his marriage and children even while having sex outside the marriage. My hunch is that women cannot do this. You're making a huge assumption here. There is no law requiring companies to imbue purpose-built robots with sentience (assuming robot sentience ever becomes possible to create). yes, I think this is the case. Women are ultimately utilitarian when they select a man, as opposed to romantic. They might appreciate romantic gestures, but only because they can help confirm the man's desire or commitment to her. Romantic gestures can reduce any doubt or uncertainty a woman may have about a man's interest. In other words, a woman selects a man based on utilitarianism, and then welcomes romantic gestures from those chosen men to alleviate doubts she may have about him.

Not at all. Women earn less because they choose jobs that require less training, with cleaner, safer working conditions, less stress to perform, greater job security, shorter commutes, other financial benefits that don't come in the form of direct salary income. Remember, all 'pay gap' studies you see are just the result of taking total average earnings of all men compared to total average earnings of all women, across all sectors and jobs in the economy. Pay gap studies aren't comparing pairs o…

don't look for logic in feminist "reasoning", you'll never find any it's just full of feel-good (yet fallacious) platitudes that society lets slide because of the gynocentric instinct to promote women's interests ask them how is a random man privileged by a male politician or CEO? What laws were enacted to benefit men? What hiring policy was created to benefit men? When you look at laws and hiring policies, they are all created to benefit and privilege all women.

I would wager that DV against men would not be recognized, for multiple reasons but mainly because feminist ideology assumes women are wonderful and can do no wrong, and two, because a large tool in the aresenal of feminists is gendered crimes i.e. crimes where the male can only be the perpretrator and the female can only be the victim. These crimes are created under the disguise of "protecting women" but what feminists really want is to give all women the ability to accuse a man of a crime in c…

Yes, the women and HR dynamic that is so widespread everywhere is toxic AF. You can have tremendous experience and qualifications and achievements in your field and you still have to justify yourself in some screening interview to some 20 something with an over inflated ego because she has an HR degree. The fact that her smart phone is constantly buzzing with likes on social media and dating apps doesn't help either, in fact it probably magnifies the problem

I get the humor but it misses the point: dildos have existed for a very long time and they cannot replace what a real man can offer in terms earning ability, social status, provisioning and protection, attending social functions as a couple, marriage, work around the house, etc etc (even with extra strong hugging power and a vibrating deluxe rabbit stimulator 9000 🥰🐇🥰🐇🥰)

AI can't give women what women want from a man. They won't have any special social status to offer. They won't be special because they'll be mass marketed to millions of women and just be a commodity. They cannot be brought to social functions. Men can be satisfied with this aspect of robots in terms of their relationship needs, but women likely won't be.

Meh. Pay gap is creative math looking at broad numbers that can be explained. It's just the difference between total average earnings of all men vs total average earnings of all women; i.e. it's an earnings gap. But the masses have been intentionally misguided and deceived for decades into thinking that it's the difference between every man and woman working the exact same job under the same conditions. It's because AI girlfriends will have a much larger benefit for men than AI boyfriends will have for women. This is because men and women want different things from them. Men want the intimacy, companionship, exclusivity and predictableness that an AI girlfriend can provide. There is much to say about this but the TL DR is that most people, in their very deep unconscious, care much more about the well-being and safety and provisioning of women. It's a stupid BS concept invented by feminists to suit their own selfish agenda. It is nonsensical for a woman to be paid for domestic work because she is the primary beneficiary or one of the primary beneficiaries of that work. Or Chad just says he's in a relationship. Regardless of whether this dynamic conforms to academic standards of statistical survey design, this scenario still represents a very real phenomenon that can cause these numbers to materialize in survey results. Even if the survey can be academically dismissed in a classroom, that still does not mean this dynamic is not occurring in society.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 07:27 PM
1

But it also could have been representative. If n was sufficiently large relative to the overall population and a reasonable effort was made to randomly choose participants. Again we don't know. But my point was just to answer OP's question to show how the numbers could theoretically play out. For for us to confirm a poor design of experiment, we might be better off having a an actual study that was done.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 06:59 PM

They don't have to assume something so formal as a "monogamous relationship" for them to write "relationship" on the survey. I'd wager it might not be so pleasant for a woman in Chad's harem to take this survey, and think about all the times she's had sex with him, and then still write "single" on the survey. It might be more palatable to her to just write "relationship" on the survey in spite of never confirming with Chad that they are in a relationship. She might not feel good about herself wr…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 06:39 PM
7

Just to provide an example, the data can be valid without Chad even taking the survey. Suppose the 5 women he is dating list "relationship" on the survey. Then a non-chad man who still achieves a monogamous relationship with a woman says he's in a relationship. Then 4 single men list single on it. You now have 5 women and 1 man in a relationship, and 4 single men in your data, with everyone answering as truthfully as they can.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 06:09 PM
6

Chad doesn't have to lie or even take the survey (which he probably doesn't) for these numbers to appear in statistics. The only people that have to take the survey are the women in his harem and the single men (sprinkled in with a few non Chad men who still managed to attract a woman into a monogamous relationship).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/23 06:01 PM
85

Consider the atomic harem: Chad dates 5 women simultaneously and doesn't tell any of them that he's dating other women. 5 women believe they are in some kind of relationship and thus not single. One man, Chad, is not single. The 4 other men who could date 4 of those women are single. This is one way the dystopian math could be playing out. However there are other factors, but this could be a primary dynamic.

Just curious about the 'dominance' and 'privilege' you are citing. What are the best examples of this? Elected officials and wealthy businessmen? These are a tiny fraction of the male population. Women are a majority of the electorate. Do they dominate it?

Just curious, what convinced you to take your positions on these issues?

So let me guess, men who spend more of their lives working, at the expense of their physical and mental health, will now have even more of their income taxed, to give to women, who work less, live more and already consume the lion's share of tax-funded programs Government basically takes from men and gives to women

It's ridiculous and yes it can basically happen anywhere in public. Have heard of this happenning specifically at parks, swimming pools, shopping malls, etc.

I think this might be one of those opinions that is strongly felt but never uttered. Again, I might be wrong, but my spidey senses are tingling on this one.

As a guy I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they do- and that your status and prestige of your occupation can trump your salary. My hunch is that women are attracted to men in traditionally prestigious fields like finance, law, medicine, some real estate, investment baking, or positions that are historically/traditionally associated with success and status. As a contrast, a software engineer making more money is considered sort of repulsive (like ewww) because it's not social and doesn't have st…

ok then you're good. But obviously just to be safe it's always good to know the marriage laws in your area, if you haven't checked already. Otherwise, congrats to you for finding someone

It's generally not a good idea to move in with your girlfriend unless you are 100% sure you want to marry her and start a family. This clip is a must for any young unmarried man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEA6iP0e-U4

What about divorce law? Common law and de facto unions? Duluth models of domestic violence accusations? False rape accusations? Paternity fraud? Child support and alimony etc? Do you not see how the woman can be a liability to her man?

the fact they still don't understand why the "wage gap" is bunk just shows that at this point it's become a state religion

I don't know how much men value being "interesting" from women. I think they basically care about her attractivess and, in close second, her pleasantness as a female companion.

I used to browse this sub years ago and the discussions were much much better. Most of the posts now are just bland misinterpretations of mostly red pill concepts or as you as you say click bait.

"subtract" may not be the best word, but for every inch after 6'6 that someone grows, their pool of matchable women decreases, which is important, because it's first point at which added height actually starts to reduce a man's choices
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 04:13 PM
1

the concept seems real enough though
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 02:20 PM
2

The best way to read the graph is from right to left. As you move to the left, the % of women that have a compatible height filter with your profile increases, up to a height of 6'6, after which every subsequent inch of height actually subtracts from attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 12:26 PM

this is because online dating has shifted- the "height"-focus is passé. it's now all about being very photogenic; having a great smile and having photos that show you smiling attractively (and spontaneously) in social situations social status coupled being photogenic is the new silver bullet for men in online dating
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 12:24 PM
2

I think on OLD your best asset is face and having a photogenic profile shot/smile, coupled with your ability to curate well-shot photos of you in social situations women no longer trust what men put as their height anyway anymore

Believe it or not, but disliking women can actually be beneficial to a man. It can change his entire "conversational-stance" and disposition with her that allows the man to retain a certain a self-confidence, assertiveness and outcome-independence that can potentially render him attractive. If a man dislikes women, it can help him align with female hypergamic instinct because women always want men they perceive to be "above" them. If a man communicates contempt for a woman in certain specific wa…

at this point, for men at least, the only positive traits that really count are having a profile/persona that makes you look like a wealthy, attractive, socially-savvy micro-celebrity that throws lots of parties and attends lots of parties and who takes pictures of these parties on Instagram

Your friend is a natural when it comes to being social, and this is in itself valuable, even on its own. People are naturally drawn to those with charming, fun, magnetic personalities.

while you certainly need less men than women for reproduction, you still have to be careful with your number of men. You want to avoid creating populations where cousins are likely to intermarry and produce offspring with complications that arise from that. It can be difficult to recover from that.

the "getting-down-on-one-knee" is a ritual done to please the woman. It's part of giving the woman the wedding experience she wants.

I think OP is in his own personal bubble when it comes to listing all of men's wants from women. His list seems completely overblown to me and from what I've heard from tons of men. Men basically just want women for sex and intimacy. That's usually the mechanism that causes them to seek relationships with women, and yield to their demands to maintain them.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/22 01:44 PM

People have different standards, conceptions and preferences of what is acceptable for housework and cleanliness. Why should the man be forced to yield to the woman's preferences? Based on what exactly? Do all women secretly graduate from Martha Stewart's HomeMaker's Academy for Young Ladies, which gives them some sort of qualification?

Housework should be 50/50 if the bills are being split 50/50. 9/10 women complaining about housework are silently free-riding off the man paying way more of the bills

I'm with you 100% on this, and I've thought the exact same thing for a long time now. The internet has generated what can only be described as a preposterous difference in options for the average woman compared to the average man. I don't think that the effect on women's minds can be overstated, and because this effect is both so new, and so unexpected, it hasn't had the chance to be properly studied or understood. If a woman's phone is constantly going ding! ding! ding! bing! ping! and each pin…

Once the robots reach a minimum level of realism (i.e. just enough to produce a satisfactory sexual/companionship experience for men) it could drastically disrupt the dating market place, and possibly restore some of the balance to men. I'd wager this is because men and women seek some very different things in a partner, and what women seek is much much harder to satisfy with a robot. Men, in general, have a need for intimate companionship and sexual pleasure in the privacy of their own home, in…

I can't disagree. However I would be so bold as to say that your job title (having the word "manager" in it) makes you more attractive to women than a traditional STEM worker job title like "engineer, technician, scientist, developer, programmer" etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 04:42 PM

(I say this is as a STEM guy) Tech/STEM jobs still seem to suffer from a status problem, despite the massive rise of tech and its influence on the culture, tech and stem workers are still, for lack of a better term, "low on the status hierarchy". In most organizations, STEM workers are not in a social/visible role, and aren't the one's DELEGATING the work, they're the one's DOING the work. Women are more attracted to the men who delegate the work, rather than Do the work. Delegators tend to be h…

You're right, and they're not even getting the complete average man's experience. They probably still have a huge match queue full of profiles that right-swiped on them, so they have a lot immediate potential matches.

If men were complaining about how demoralizing dating apps are for them, the only articles that would be written would of the flavor "angry incel men who think women owe them romance are hating on women and feeding on misogyny, they are dangerous and full of hate, how we must mock them!"
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 03:52 PM

can confirm. I've been on the apps for a long time and when you create a new account you are always shown to many more people so that the algorithm can classify your profile. So there is a period of about 1 to 3 days where you will receive a high level of activity that is biased. It's from about day 4 or 5 onward that you get a better picture of where your profile stands.

Since the dawn of time, men have chatted up, wooed and charmed women with their words, actions, dress and demeanour. You can read about it in the Bible and ancient texts of all kinds, all the way through to the present day. you ever see the movie In Quest of Fire? it didn't always go down that way
