dude that church advice messed you up bad. been there with the nice guy thing. kitchen taught me timing matters in dating too. you cant slow cook a connection for months then expect romance turned things around with: therapy for the guilt stuff, gleam app for actual conversation practice (like duolingo but social skills), and learning to be direct early. that app's daily missions literally force you to practice being upfront still awkward sometimes but least i know where i stand within weeks not…

confidence without competence is just arrogance though. kitchen taught me you cant fake your way through dinner rush. women (and people) smell desperation because youre performing instead of just being present. authenticity comes from accepting where you are while working toward something better

practice talking to everyone during daily interactions. cashiers, baristas, coworkers. builds confidence without pressure
