| 1 | When does staying above ground for your kid stop being enough? If you don't call and the worst happens, you'll never see your kids again, and they'll have a bunch of trauma to work through. I wouldn't call a crisis line except as a last resort because I haven't found them to be very helpful when I have been panicking/spiraling. But I do think making a safety plan and following through with it is important. If not for me, for the kids. As long as you are alive, nothing is written in stone. Are there repercussions? Always. Maybe it addresses what's bothering the partner. Maybe not, but at least you're better off. Giving in to whatever demands a partner is making isn't the … | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/08/25 09:38 PM |
| 2 | Why is “work on yourself and maybe she’ll notice” always the advice when a wife wants a divorce?Being fit and physically healthy will help you weather the stress and have an outlet. As hard as divorce or any other major life stress is, it's much harder if you are unhealthy. Even as a person with a chronic illness, I feel better and have more stress tolerance when I exercise in a way that works for my screwed up body. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/08/25 09:29 PM |
