I love princess Caroline’s arc with Rutabaga, I watched it not long after a broke up with a LV ex and her walking off the elevator saying “I’m not afraid to be alone” gave me so much life.

To me that screams grooming and / or emotional abuse. Most abusers will isolate you from your friends and family and make it very difficult for you to make new friends, they make sure that they are your whole life so that you can’t leave. It’s also common for them to instil the idea that you are not worthy or good enough to be loved by any one else, including your family that they’ve isolated you from. This woman needs help, but I don’t think it is solely her fault. Though her and her child’s he…

I’ve had to work through a lot of mental health to be happy with myself, I started looking for the small good in things, such as “yeah he didn’t show up, but do I really want someone who can’t even show up for a first date?”, or “at least I can go and do something now I’m all dressed up”. It takes a lot, and looking for the positive things even if they’re small, and being grateful for those small beacons of light is what helped me swap my mindset and helped me regulate my reaction to things. I s…

Yeah it’s really ingrained it seems, I work with a few and they all see that sort of thing as normal or a joke

Thank you! This has 100% just clicked for me, my ex had a long term friend and their relationship always made me uncomfortable but I could never articulate why, or maybe I could but I was using the JUsT tAlK tO HiM approach. Ladies, please listen to your gut, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been with him, just leave. It’s never worth it. Never in my life have I been so anxious and stressed, for three years I thought my mental health was deteriorating. It reminds me of the lady in Chocolat who …

Oooh my ex used to cut me off and then follow it up with “yeah it doesn’t matter because I knew what you were going to say” and then he’d be wrong about it and still not care

I have a couple of sports bras that I love and they’re so much more comfortable than my regular bras. The sports bras I’ve bought have always been in like tshirt sizes rather than cup and band

Yeah I never initiate discussion first, and I don’t accept hookups or dates. In fact there’s probably no point in me being on it but it is an easy way to see what’s around

Not to get too deep into it because it is a tv show, but her sisters openly think that she should leave Homer, at this stage she’s displaying pickmeisha behaviour. It’s really not aged well, but they just keep writing episodes that normalise this behaviour. Like Marge’s only role is emotional support for her husband and her kids, while her husband gets to do whatever and regularly lets both her and the kids down. You’re supposed to love and care about the family that you make, but you don’t trea…

I’ve not liked the Simpsons for a long time purely because of the Homer/Marge dynamic. That woman loves him to pieces and she just gets shat on constantly

Yeah “he’s nice to me” is my current problem, after a few awful lvm and even zvm someone attractive being nice to me is apparently enough for me to crush hard at the moment. I’m a work in progress

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
