A male family member that I was very close with killed himself. Before he left, he tied up all his loose ends. He left all important information where it could be easily located. He contacted the paramedics the moment before he followed through so that trained professionals would find him. It was the most considerate suicide that he could have possibly completed. You seem to have left out quite a bit of information. She can't just declare you owe 15k, she would need to have had an order already in place that you were failing to pay. No, the court decides if the employer handled the report effectively.. A look by itself would not constitute sexual harassment unless it was done in a over the top way. You can report your employer for not taking action against someone that is sexually harassing you in the workplace. You cannot then sue the individual that did unless you have damages to be compensated for. Even then, your argument is more likely to be with your employer than the harasser. That has nothing to do with being fired for looking at someone wrong and everything to do with how a workplace handles a report of harassment.

I don't disagree with most of what you said. However, I think you are looking at it wholly one-sided. She doesn't get shit if you haven't been together for X amount of years. Unless you have a child, in which case the child receives benefits. I have a friend that was with her husband for several years. He cheated on her and then left her for the other woman.
