From the guy's side complimenting your girlfriend/wife too much can be dangerous. It is easy for it to turn into simping or be perceived as simping and kill attraction in the woman. Some guys have learned this through their own relationships or through watching other relationships and have learned to just not compliment.

Your husband and his friends sound really toxic to me. You didn't mention anything positive about him. What made you decide to marry him?

It's great that you are in therapy. That was going to be my recommendation. The anxiety and being too guarded seem like they are the primary issues and need to be addressed in order to have successful relationships. You should try neurofeedback too. It does wonders for anxiety.

If you're having a hard time it really sucks having someone criticizing you too. He probably feels like he doesn't need that right now. I agree with the other commenter about reading the surrendered wife and trying not to nag.

Part of hypergamy is the instinct that if a man is eager to commit to you then that means he feels he can't do better than you. If he doesn't think he can do better than you then that means you probably can do better than him. I'm not saying that's the case here, this is just the logic behind the ick feeling and loss of attraction when a man is too eager to commit. My guess is you are currently experiencing this which is why you are so hesitant about a situation that is perfect on paper. I think…

Any man with options is simply going to disengage. What could possibly make you so much more valuable than every other woman that they would put up with this rather than just date someone else? All you are doing is guaranteeing that the men you date are very desperate men that have no other prospects. Only a spineless, desperate man is going to tolerate this.

Usually before marriage there is some short period where you are not exclusive, usually 1 to 3 months, and then a long period where you are exclusive, usually several years. Dating other people when you are exclusive is a very bad idea, even if you aren't considering ethics and morals. You are very likely to get caught eventually. Men will find it suspicious if you are only available on big days for couples (Valentine's Day, New Years, etc.) less than half the time. Dating multiple people when y…

Having your own mother tell you you are bad and not good enough is absolutely devastating for a person's mental health. Your mother is the one person in the world who should love and support you unconditionally. If this has been happening since he was a child, he almost certainly has CPTSD, whether he realizes it or not. It seems like he turned out great despite all of this, which means he must be very strong. Unless your husband has already done a lot of healing of his mother wound, it will be …

Yeah, the guys you are talking to almost certainly think you are not very interested in actually going on a date and just move on. There's a lot of women on dating apps who just want attention and to chat and guys don't want to waste their time with that. If you are absolutely opposed to flirting then you need to be the one to ask for their phone number or suggest going on a date.
/r/RedPillWomen14/03/26 04:48 PM

Can you give some examples of some of your conversations? If you are dry and not being flirty or laughing at what they say they might assume you are not that interested and move on.

I think you just need to address your avoidant attachment. Easier said than done, but therapy can help. If you have childhood trauma, addressing it should help a lot. There's a lot of options other than talk therapy. EMDR, neurofeedback, meditation, etc.

It's true that generally women peak in sexual attractiveness around 20 to 26. But sexual attractiveness is not the only thing men look at when considering who to have a serious relationship with. Men, especially attractive ones, generally do not want to get married until their 30s. They also do not want to marry someone who is immature and that they cannot relate to, so overwhelmingly they choose women closer to their own age than women who are in their peak years for sexual attractiveness. On a…

Just wear a shirt that says "NO CASUAL SEX" on all of your dates. But seriously, I think you can bring it up in a way that isn't awkward. Just ask "so what are you looking for?" They might say "just something casual" or something else that indicates their intentions are just casual sex. Regardless of what they say, this also gives you the opportunity to say that you aren't interested in anything casual. I think most guys will not straight up lie about their intentions. Probably 40% will be hones…

I think the other comments are great and I would like to add just a few things. The male side of red pill is focused on having casual sex with women. The things men value for a casual relationship and the things they want in a serious relationship are very different. Sometimes they are even opposite. A slutty, wild girl is a good thing if you are looking for something casual. It is horrible if you are looking for something serious. For a casual relationship, physical attractiveness is the most i…

Ok, that's fair enough. Personally I think you should make an effort to date in undergrad. As another comment mentioned, after you are done with school it is a lot harder to meet single, educated men of appropriate age. Perhaps grad school is very intensive or stressful and you don't feel like dating at that time either.

What makes you think she is so attractive? She didn't say a single thing about her own looks or physical attractiveness. It seems like you are deciding she is extremely attractive at at the top of the SMP without any reason to believe that. If she is a 9/10, then sure, she can be really picky. Most likely she is not. Most likely she is of average physical attractiveness, as most people are. In that case it is concerning that not a single a man at her university is good enough for her to date. I'…

Then you are relying on getting extremely lucky in order to not end up alone. Those 3 men are probably very attractive to other women as well. It is very likely those men are either already taken or have better options than you. If your standards eliminate 99.9% of men then you better be in the top 1% of women, at the very least. No amount of "screening" is going to help you land a man in the top 0.1% if you are an average looking woman. That man is going to have a massive amount of options and …

The problem is that male and female attraction are not symmetrical. If an average looking woman is smart, educated, and successful and insists on only dating men who are at least equal in those categories then she is going to have a bad time dating and if she never lowers her standards she will likely end up alone. Let's look at an example. Take the woman described above. Let's say she is average looking, highly intelligent, has a master's degree from a prestigious university, and makes 200k a y…

"I’d rather have control over my man whilst he is unaware of this and preforms his duty as a traditional man whilst he is building his wealth in an increasing capacity." This is very toxic approach to relationships and basically the opposite of what this sub is about.

There's nothing inherently wrong with wearing revealing clothes, but I think it is detrimental to getting a serious relationship. A lot of men who are looking for a serious relationship will see a woman wearing revealing clothing and think she is easy. Few men want a serious relationship with an easy woman. Revealing clothing also draws attention from men who are looking for casual sex. Basically wearing revealing clothing drives away a lot of the men who you would want a serious relationship wi…

And it's so much worse than that since they also have a long list of requirements that are implied. The man above 6' they have in mind isn't broke, fat, ugly, nerdy, or any number of other flaws. Each one cuts down that 14% significantly. The common 6 foot and 6 figures requirement, plus not married or obese, only leaves 0.5% of men ages 20 to 40 lol. And half those guys are going to be ugly. The income is per year, so among men 20 to 40, only 6.8% make at least 85k a year and are not married. That's less than I would expect but I guess it makes sense. 1/3 are married so about 10% of the remaining 66% make more than 85k a year. Also, when people refer to millionaires they are talking about their net worth, not their income. So someone making 100k a year if they have been saving and investing for a while.

My experience with police in the U.S is what you describe, but it seems OP is outside the U.S. There are many countries where the police are genuinely quite corrupt and abusive. In some parts of Mexico the police and the cartels are one and the same.

Yeah, I guess the numbers I used are for my area, which is higher cost of living and higher income than most.
/r/RedPillWomen16/02/26 09:09 PM
2

Yeah, but the incomes are much higher there too then. My point is that a man with a good career who is married to a woman with a below average career or some normal job can get by in most places. You probably can't afford to buy a house right in a super expensive city, but super expensive cities aren't really meant for raising kids in a suburb style home.
/r/RedPillWomen16/02/26 05:07 PM

Engineers are typically a lot more mature than average. What are they doing that is causing you to think they are immature? Sometimes women label behaviors as immature when they are really just a lack of interest or the man not doing what they want.
/r/RedPillWomen16/02/26 04:52 PM
5

Having a decent career where you make about 100k and then have a wife that works some low stress job for 50k a year when she isn't staying at home with the kids works well too. Might need to make more for a high cost of living area, but that is also doable.

I don't think she is admitting she is wrong with these things. She is complaining how he is responding when she does these things. She started out saying she has multiple issues with him and getting upset when she does these disrespectful things is one of those issues.

Height is just one factor in cute vs hot. It could be that your other qualities are more on the cute side. It's better to be cute anyway. Another possibility is that it is more polite for a guy to say you are cute than hot. Calling a girl hot seems like a more aggressive way to hit on her.

I think the difference between cute and hot is a very interesting question to look at through the lens of evolutionary psychology. As another comment pointed out, guys are generally more interested in serious relationships with cute girls and casual sex with hot girls. I think the two sides would be better described as cute vs sexy, with hot somewhere in between but closer to sexy than cute. Why do these two different types of female attractiveness exist? It's because they serve different purpos…

I find it interesting and a little ironic you are assuming this guy is conservative because he likes Elon Musk, considering you are active on RedPillWomen, an explicitly anti-feminist sub. If you asked me who is more likely to be conservative, someone who likes Elon, or someone on RPW, I would say the person on RPW. Attraction isn't a cold calculation like that. It is deeply ingrained in the subconscious of men to be attracted to and develop feelings for women who they think are fertile and would be a good mother. It isn't a rational decision where they can decide "wait actually I don't care about fertility because of surrogacy." I'm still not sure what you think you are missing that this guy might be looking for.

He is most likely seeking some combination of companionship, love, sex, and someone to have children with. What qualities do you imagine you are missing? If he is independently wealthy he probably doesn't care how much a woman makes. He probably just wants someone he enjoys spending time with. Traveling alone can get lonely quick. Throughout almost the entirety of human history, the main thing women offered to men was bearing and raising children. That is quite a lot too. Men are still wired to …

You haven't said anything that makes me think you ever needed to be in nun mode. Not driving and having a bad credit score are not really that big of issues for dating. It's common to be picked up for dates anyway and your credit score likely wouldn't matter until very deep into a relationship anyway, and even then it is just a small issue most of the time.

I think this guy most likely just has issues romantically connecting. A man's relation with their mom growing up forms the foundation of relationships with women later in life. If that connection with mom is missing, as it sounds like it might be with her mental health issues, that can make it more difficult to connect with partners as an adult. It doesn't mean it's impossible, but he may need some therapy or to process some things. Or sometimes there just isn't that connection or spark between …

What are you looking for? If you are looking for a one night stand or something casual, then that is easy. Just make it really clear you are into a guy. Walk up to him, introduce yourself, tell him he is really attractive, touch him a lot, etc. If you are looking for something serious, a bar isn't a great place to find that and you are mostly going to attract guys looking for something casual. He definitely needs healthier boundaries with his daughter. Sleeping in the same bed at 12 years old is already strange, but waking him up to say she is going to go to the bathroom? Very weird. It's true, cheating is probably more of a concern in the situation OP is talking about. It's probably more common that a guy who gets married before he is successful will start cheating rather than straight up leave. I don't think men resisting commitment means they aren't content. Women compete with each other covertly, and sometimes that means befriending a woman who is a threat in order to tear them down. The vast majority of the time this is subconscious behavior. Contrary to popular narrative, men are quite loyal. It is very rare for men to leave their wives. Only about 20% of divorces are initiated by the man. Think about it, how many men do you know who his wife left him? Now how many women do you know who her husband left her? I have heard "his wife left him" so many times it feels like an expression. In my opinion he has some good ideas (that can be found elsewhere for the most part), but is off base in some areas. I think generally his advice for men is pretty good but his advice for women is pretty bad. I think it is just reality that relationships are somewhat transactional. Neurofeedback trains your brain to increase or decrease activity in certain parts of your brain to bring it back to normal levels. So for example, certain parts of the brain are associated with high levels of anxiety and your brain can be trained to reduce activity in these areas to get them back to normal levels of activity for a healthy person. You're right, red pill women is about women changing their behavior to have more successful relationships with men and not about men changing their behavior. I can see why that might seem unfair, but it makes perfect sense. Yeah, I could see how it would be hard to find a good man that meets your standards in the Caribbean. What country is this? In most parts of the west there are plenty of good men so when a woman has the attitude that all the men suck, it is usually more of a problem with the woman. She is either seeking out (perhaps subconsciously) or attracting the wrong sort of men due to the way she acts and the places she meets men. But I'm sure there are some parts of the world where most of the men do indeed suck.

It basically lets people rate your attractiveness and gives you a score that tells you what percentile you are (so an 8 would mean your photo was rated higher than 80% of other photos of women your age). Photo quality of course matters but I think if you try it with many ph…

I think we need more information. Is he actually your boyfriend, or were you just hooking up? Does he love you? Like Wife_and_Mama said, a guy with options is going to choose an option that is actually near him the vast majority of the time. There could potentially be an exception if he is already very invested in you though. How long have you been long distance? When could you potentially not be long distance anymore?

30 minutes is almost triple the average and still 50% higher than what women say they want on average. https://www.sexandpsychology.com/blog/2019/1/28/how-long-people-want-sex-to-last-versus-how-long-sex-actually-lasts/ Women reported average foreplay length of 11 minutes, and said they would like it to be 19 minutes. It also depends on what you consider foreplay vs sex. Are manual and oral considered foreplay? If so, then 30 minutes of foreplay sounds a bit more reasonable. But just making out …

I think a good rule of thumb is to be a little bit more enthusiastic than he is. Of course, don't go so far that it isn't at least somewhat genuine. Personally I don't think playing hard to get is a good idea, but if you do want to do it, it should still be giving him the impression that he will succeed with you eventually. If you just give him the impression you aren't interested then he will probably lose interest too.

Think whatever you want. It's a common problem in the modern world for women to have unrealistic standards that they fail to meet until they are in their mid 30s and have to drop their standards dramatically. In fact, there are plenty of women on this sub that have said that exact thing happened to them. I have met many average looking women who will only date men above 6 foot who make 6 figures. You say you have a very specific set of requirements. Just how specific are they? Many women fall into the trap of having such specific requirements that the chance they can even meet a man that meets them all is very low (and that's without even considering the chances that man will also be interested in her). I think it would be worth it to do the math on all of your requirements to see what percent of the men in your area actually fit them. Normally the Asian requirement would really narrow t…

It does cause a lot of problems. Many women with good careers but below average looks have standards that don't match what they can actually get and so they end up single. It's just reality though. Men valuing looks so much is irrational and causes problems but it's simply the way they are wired.

The likelihood that a man is serious depends on a lot of different factors. The biggest one, and the one women ignore the most, is if a man is significantly more attractive than you. Men are much less selective than women when it comes to sex. Most guys who are a 9 will be willing to casually date and have sex with a 7 but it's very rare they would have a serious relationship with them. Age and age gap are also important factors. Men in their early 20s are less interested in serious relationship…

I mean... all those things you mentioned are either essentially required (might go to jail if you don't) or the benefits outweigh the downsides. When it comes to relationships it is not required to get the government involved through marriage and the benefits often do not outweigh the downsides. The feelings of men do grow over time. Certainly the vast majority of men who have been in love were not in love the very first time they saw, kissed, or had sex with the woman. Beauty is probably 80 to 90% of what men find attractive. Even if a woman doesn't pass the threshold for most men, she will almost certainly pass it for some men. Men are pretty good at settling for what they are actually able to get, and something is better than nothing. It's rare a woman is so unattractive she cannot find anybody to date. A lot of people are saying you are wrong but I think you're talking about different things. Hypergamy as a feeling and desire is deeply ingrained in the female psyche. It's evolutionary psychology. Are you trying to calculate a number or determine what caliber of man you are capable of attracting for a serious relationship? Exactly. This woman seems to think she is still 25 and that this guy needs to make up for being 54. From an attractiveness point of view a 35 year old woman with a kid isn't any more attractive than a 54 year old man. In fact it might be less attractive. I'm not saying a suit is the most attractive thing a man can wear, I was just asking OP if that's what she finds attractive. For sure some women find very masculine clothing more attractive than a suit. Or a military/police uniform for some women.
/r/RedPillWomen19/03/25 12:51 AM
9

It's certainly not the only thing that matters. It's probably around 10 to 30% for most women. Would you rather date the guy who is physically an 8 who is broke, uneducated, and unemployed, or the guy who is physically a 7 who is successful and educated? Maybe some young women who are just looking to have fun would pick the first guy, but the majority of women would pick the second guy.
/r/RedPillWomen18/03/25 05:55 PM
4

Do you think suits are the most attractive thing a man can wear? There are plenty of other outfits that enhance a man's body parts. In fact with a suit you can barely see most of their body. A tight t shirt and some shorts lets you see their body a lot more. Do you find that more attractive? The fact that it is subconscious means a man being high status makes a man more attractive but you don't attribute it to the fact that he is high status.
/r/RedPillWomen18/03/25 05:51 PM
38

It's subconscious. Very few women have the thought "this man has high status therefore I find him attractive." They just see a guy who is high status and think "wow he's hot." That said, some women are affected by it more than others. You may be affected by it less than most. When a guy is wearing a nice suit, does he look more attractive to you than wearing sweat pants? I would bet so. That is mostly because a suit signals high status.

If you are very picky on looks and character, and are picky in the same way that other women are (for example, liking men who are confident, which is extremely common for women, versus liking men who know a lot about geography, which is rare), then your own attractiveness level needs to match how selective you are being. I think it's useful to look at this from the perspective of evolutionary psychology. Why do these two different types of female attractiveness exist? It's because they serve different purposes. From everything you wrote, it doesn't seem like mixed signals, just a clear signal of "I don't want to get married anytime soon." Has he said things that contradict this that you didn't mention?

Is it possible that you are attracted to jerks? Most guys are not jerks so the fact that you are encountering a lot of huge jerks means you are either incredibly unlucky or you are seeking them out (perhaps unconsciously).

It is hard to know with any certainty without spending a significant amount of time with them. If there are guys in your social circle it should become clear whether they like to have casual sex or take relationships seriously. With a guy you don't know well, you should have some hint based on the way they act. Guys who party a lot are usually more interested in hooking up while guys who aren't too social and get good grades are usually more interested in a relationship, just as some examples. P…

I wouldn't go wild, but nothing wrong with dating a couple guys during college

So you went on a few dates but never kissed? Did he ever try to kiss you? Did you give any signals that you wanted to kiss? I would think even for a very traditional relationship kissing within the first few dates would be expected.

If you want to know how attractive you are photofeeler is a great way to do it. I would try it with a few different pictures.

Sounds like the root of the issue is that he is depressed. Ask him if he is depressed and what you can do to help. Therapy would be great but if he is truly unwilling to do that there are other things that can help like neurofeedback and certain supplements and herbs.

Unless he is completely clueless, then his comment that he would want to marry a girl "like" you, was meant as a hint that he is open to the possibility of marrying you.

I'm sorry your mom wasn't able to adequately fill her role. I can relate. Perhaps you could find a woman to mentor you, either in this sub or in real life. I would offer, but I'm a guy.

I think the advice Cosima gave you is great, and I just wanted to add that it is ok to take it slow too. If cold approaching women is too difficult at first, it is ok to start off just by going to class and casually talking to some people since even that sounds like it would be a lot of progress for you. Take baby steps and cut yourself a lot of slack. Trying to make friends can be difficult since if you try too hard that can be off putting too.

What happens if you try to initiate sex? Are your health issues something you will live with for the rest of your life and/or shorten your lifespan? What is the outlook for your future? Most guys would appreciate the cleaning but maybe he doesn't care if things are clean. I personally don't care if my shirts are ironed but would still appreciate the gesture.

Why would he lie about only sleeping with 3 people? If guys lie about their body count, it is usually saying it is higher than it actually is.

Honestly my first reaction was that his comment was a poor attempt at a joke or just something that didn't come out right. I wouldn't put so much weight on a single comment he made. He might have just been in a weird mood or maybe his friend had told him years ago that he needed to lower his standards if he ever wanted a wife, and he was referencing that without fully realizing you wouldn't understand.

Interesting, I was assuming that you lived in the west, but is sounds like maybe that isn't the case? Most red pill content creators are from the west and their target audience is men in the west. Red pill is a criticism of western culture, and actually advocates that if you do want to get married, you are better off finding a woman outside of the west.

Thanks for being open minded! If the content creators are in the west, they are almost certainly talking about modern feminism in the west. Very few people who complain about feminism in the west think that women shouldn't have rights. I personally think modern feminism (again, in the west) sucks but the feminism from 30+ years ago was actually really important and most places outside of the west could certainly use that type of feminism today.

I haven't heard any of these arguments in red pill content. Did the content he was listening to actually make these points? I doubt it. These honestly sound like straw man arguments or extrapolating statements made about our society to all societies to ever exist. I've never heard anybody claim that all forms of women's liberation are the same. If somebody says "feminism sucks", 99.9% of the time they are talking about modern feminism in the west, and everybody knows that is what they are talkin…

At what stage are you getting rejected? When trying to meet guys? After the first few dates? After sex? After a couple months? Dressing girly doesn't make you materialistic. Most guys prefer girls who dress at least a little girly. Do you make comments about how much money people make, what cars they drive, how nice their house is? Those are the things that would make you seem materialistic.

I would say this is not ok. Obviously there is some level of attraction between them or they would not have matched with each other and gone on a date. Why does he need to be friends with a woman he finds attractive? He should find some guy friends instead.

I would ask her why she feels this way about men. Did she recently get deep into radical feminism? Was she rejected by a man or multiple men, perhaps in mean ways? Is it possible she could have been sexually assaulted? People don't just suddenly develop extreme views for no reason (unless they have a serious mental illness).

It seems unlikely that the first time you two have sex will live up to your expectations. Waiting three years puts a lot of pressure on it to be amazing. I would try to let go of your expectations and just have a "good enough" attitude about it. Tell him what you want in terms of romance and try to be ok with him just doing exactly that. Seems like you just need to get past it at this point.

So you have a desire to have a child and also a desire to go to school (and presumably have a career after that?). You have about 40 years to accomplish your academic and career goals. If you take off 5 years to have a kid and stay at home with them, could you still accomplish your goals in the remaining 35 years? I would bet so. Something to consider is that your emotions don't really care about logic. They are subconscious and based in evolution in order to get you to survive and reproduce. Yo…

Would just working one of those jobs be enough to support your family and satisfy the lifestyle that you want? I think you need to have a conversation with him about how you would like to see him more and that seeing him is more important than the extra money (if that is indeed the case).

Would you be comfortable revealing which mafia or country this is? Some mafias you simply cannot leave. Also, are his family members part of it too? If he was born into it, it is unlikely he will leave it.

I totally agree that women should be able to do the same things as men, like have casual sex without consequence. That would be great. That is simply not reality though. Men do not want to have serious relationships with promiscuous women. Its just evolutionary psychology. Throughout our history birth control was either non-existent or unsafe and unreliable. That means if a woman had sex with a lot of different men, then she either already has kids (or is pregnant) or she is infertile. If she al…
