Tell me you think you are a "high quality woman" without telling me you think you're a "high quality woman". Not trying to be horrible but you seem to be describing your own social circle of boring bread heads who found other boring bread heads with whom to mate. This is hardly a surprising state of affairs, being how it is that people usually find partners who are on their own level. It's also unsurprising that you should look at yourself and your social circle and think "yes, we are high quali…

Oh come on. Asking someone working at Krispy Kreme to make you something ridiculous is not harassment, and is in no way equivalent to an attempt to navigate a explicitly delicate interaction with a member of the opposite sex toward a positive outcome.

I'm not saying talking to a stranger is never productive. Depending on context, you might have some romantic success from a chance encounter. Even better if the context is one where you might bump into this person multiple times. I mean a key element is taking genuine pleasure in sharing a moment with another person, and that kind of means you have to take pleasure in the moment to begin with, alone. Going into any interaction with an expectation first and foremost in your mind is going to stres…

I guess what I mean is that in most places striking up a conversation with a total stranger that is any way rewarding is rare. It's not about women being unapproachable. It's about people not generally reacting in a particularly open manner to unexpected attempts at conversation, for a million different reasons. Anyone who is surprised or upset that this is the case probably doesn't have the self awareness or social skills to be trying it in the first place. I mean, I'm a friendly guy, I'll talk…

By my calculation if you were to "approach" a woman every 5 minutes it's going to take you 16.67 hours to "approach" 200 women, no breaks. Sounds like a tough day.

The difference is between a ridiculous and contrived scenario where the outcome is unimportant because it's an exercise, and a scenario where you actually want the outcome to be positive for you. The second scenario doesn't have to be romantic, it could be asking for an important favour or for a loan. For example- you need to ask me for a loan for a very well thought out business idea. Context- you already owe me money. What do you think is going to happen?

I've seen people on here coming up with the most wildly contrived openers to try and start a conversation with women. Unless you are in the top 1% of charming motherfuckers this is only going to come across as creepy. A "cold approach" should never actually be completely cold. You need something to start with, some kind of hook. I'm a man and I do occasionally do stone cold approaches, but almost never to someone I'd be interested in trying to charm. It's usually when I just can't help but make …

"women tend to be attracted to men with an extreme male manifestation of a sexually dimorphic trait" Yes, but within certain parameters, amongst which is proportionality. Not sure how dimorphism works on the psychological level (vs physical), but let's say it does, so we can draw an analogy with men who are short but hyper muscular or extremely tall but skinny. Both will have their fans, but in general, women prefer someone more proportional, so it would make sense that a psychological or neurol…

It's kind of difficult to work out what your point is because the examples you give are mostly bizarre or just wrong (nobody's idea of Iggy Pop would be changed if he turned up in a dress, men being virgins does not lead to "rape culture", for instance). That said, there are things the way we would like them to be, and things the way they are. When it comes to gendered behaviour, these can change and shift over time, though some may never. For instance, a man carrying a baby might have seemed sl…

Yes but it's on a spectrum. doesn't always have to be hot & crazy. There are also hot but avoidant women, hot but stupid, hot but entitled assholes, etc. One thing you will see is that very rarely does anybody pipe up during the train wreck as it's happening, regardless of sex. Sometimes before, sometimes after, and people will say "oh so-and-so really has a type", which often translates into "so-and-so makes the same shit choices over and over".

Take my word for what exactly? My personal experience? Remove the admittedly unique circumstances of dating apps and I'd be surprised if I was that much of an outlier. And there are lots of people meeting and interacting off of dating apps. This might sound unbelievable to many people on reddit, because like I said I believe there are a disproportionate number of unfuckables and shut-ins here. Concerning the statistics, as the saying goes- "there are lies, there are damned lies, and then there a…

My point is that everybody does this, and everybody is butt hurt about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:51 AM

I'm not talking about a "just world". I'm simply speaking as a fuckable man. I don't imagine my experience is shared with unfuckable men, but I do believe that reddit in general and this sub in particular have a disproportionate number of unfuckable men on them. I mean, in all truth, my own fuckability is seriously compromised by being on reddit at all, let alone this sub. But, as long as I'm able to keep it a secret, I am the gatekeeper of my own sex life, and yes, I have let the wrong ones in,…

As a nice, mostly well balance, perhaps chad or chad adjacent but slightly naive/spacey man who is fairly attractive to women, I want to jump in and say that the "choose better/give a chance" conundrum can also apply equally to men. Unfortunately, as with pretty much everything on this sub, this becomes a gendered thing in the light of the clearly nonsensical "top 20% of men fucking 80% of women" paradigm, or whatever other horseshit gender war filter you choose to view the world through. My poi…

I think you, OP, underestimate the expense and extent of preparations needed to prove something in court. When this applies to a criminal court, the case has to be brought by the state, and the expenses and prerequisites are even greater. Thus, you would need to elaborate on who is "proving" something false. A civil court? A criminal court? And who is "determining" an allegation to be "provably false", and what does that even mean? There are cases where a criminal prosecution is brought against …

Are you sure it's not you that's different? I have the same time frame as you and yes, I also find young women different, but that's because I'm a grown ass man interacting with women in their 20s whose heads are filled with nonsense, just like they were in the 90s, except back then my head was filled with nonsense too. Don't you remember old hippies back in the 90s complaining about how stupid and square young people were? I am now one of those old hippies, and it sounds like you might be one t…

I'm basing this off of reality. Hope that's okay?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 05:32 PM

I think you've missed my point. If a childless woman wants to get on a soapbox and declare that being a mom with saggy tits is a moral failing rather than a result of living life as a biological reality rather than a social media cheese dream, it's your prerogative to agree with her, but you are going to have to be comfortable with the possibility that you are both wildly deluded.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 04:42 PM

It's also a good deal of genetic luck. Like I said, pop out a few yourself and see if your feelings are still that strong.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 04:35 PM

good for you, but as a mum yourself I'm not sure why you'd want to defend this? You are still striking out on 2 out of the 4 "not LIFE" criteria?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 04:27 PM

Kids, they often happen in marriages. What's your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 04:12 PM

While I disagree with OP, I'm afraid that is indeed life. Pop out a few sprogs and come back to it, see how you feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 03:56 PM

Have you ever been married? Marriage is almost by definition a set of obligations.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 03:53 PM

Exactly. Putting on 80lbs would be broadly equivalent to developing an alcohol or drug addiction. Bad for health. Bad for family. Not hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 03:51 PM

You can be from anywhere in the world and not believe 9/11 was an inside job. Conversely, it's almost impossible to believe that obesity is healthy and that the American health care system is a disaster of capitalism and not be from the USA.

I exclusively screw sane women, and have had this same experience. It's not my thing but I will do it, within my own boundaries, if it makes a woman happy, but I don't like it because honestly I think it is cringe and stupid. But that's sex for you. I think we can all agree that anything that involves any kind of physicality between two people beyond what is implicitly agreed has to be negotiated or can rightly be viewed as assault. And in law (in my country) it is. I don't agree with OP that wo…

Cuck porn sounds kind of hot. Don't watch it myself, but if I did, I'm guessing it would be feeding in to feelings of sexual jealousy or sexual competition, which are completely normal and not that interesting.

I concur. You could even extrapolate that into the "war between the sexes"- we despise what we desire, because we cannot help but desire it.

This is the only sane response. What we entertain in fantasy does not correlate to what we want in reality. And where it does, it should be very obvious that it needs to be negotiated beforehand. That said, as someone whose sexual preferences are so vanilla as to be possibly considered a kink in itself, my experience largely tracks with that of OP, in that a majority of women I've been with, certainly in longer term things, have come to express a desire for a degree of roughness (in my experienc…

I'm afraid you're wrong, it's not a double standard. If women reacted to joblessness the same way men did, and did NOT get divorced, then yes, this might be a double standard. BUT women do not act the same way. I'm not saying there aren't double standards, but they can only exist when the behaviour being judged is the same, and men and women's behaviour is rarely the same.

I said either sex, which would include women but would not define my post as "talking about women". I think you've chosen to rant specifically against men, which is fine, but in my opinion you've chosen to highlight the worst of male behaviour as being indicative of men in general not caring about men. The problem being that if you were to take the worst of female behaviour you could use it to indicate that women don't care about other women. My point being that ignorant, low IQ behaviour is pre…

If you take ignorant and/or low IQ people of either sex you are very likely going to come to the conclusion that they don't care about other peoples problems.

It's not a double standard, it's separate expectations based on observable outcomes. Men will sometimes react badly to losing their job. Women less so. I'm not offering a citation but I've read that men do better with high stress for short duration, women do better with low stress for long duration, which is true in inverse. Joblessness is low stress for potentially long duration. Men don't generally do well with that. There is also the cultural trope of the man who loses his job, becomes angry …

My point is that I believe men and women are going to react differently to job loss and joblessness. They are also going to have different reasons for losing their jobs, and different reasons for why they find it easy or hard to find a new job. Which is to say, I'm guessing it's much more likely that couples are divorcing because of the knock on effects of male job loss, rather than women not being supportive. For what it's worth, I am married and move in married circles and have plenty of perso…

Women are divorcing their husbands when they lose their jobs? Or the couple are divorcing, instigator unknown? I'm not sure how important the difference is because the net result of job loss and joblessness in men is often depression and resulting conflict and/or unreasonable behaviour, which can include leaving their wives. I'm not disagreeing with you, I just think the details of these slightly rage-baity studies, when they're even valid, needs to be parsed out a little to get at least some ki…

Well okay, but consider for a second the effect of job loss and joblessness on men. It can be devastating, and can cause a great deal of tension in a relationship, for a constellation of reasons, and I'm going to make an educated guess that the woman thinking "my husband lost his job, how unattractive" is probably pretty low on the list.

Also, not sure how this study/studies was/were done, but a relatively (to women) high number of men die before the age when they are likely to to be married. As in- they die from violence, accident/misadventure and testicular cancer at much much higher rates than women. Whether the mortality numbers are high enough to pull the average age of death for unmarried men down I don't know, but worth considering. Also also, were widows counted as unmarried women?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/25 09:18 AM

Yeah this is wild to me. Must be either cultural or OP is walking round looking like the monopoly man, except wearing a dunce cap instead of a top hat. No offence.

Im agreeing with you. Men and women do 99.99% the same shit, just go about it slightly differently, and they change up the recipe a little. The reaction to it, especially online, is different depending on whether it's a man or a woman doing whatever, of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 10:17 PM

Can confirm, but then I'm guessing 25 year old women probably found you attractive when you were 25, too. If you have a baseline of attractiveness, take care of yourself and maintain an open and curious mind, you will remain attractive to young women, some of them (but possibly more for sex/shits & giggles than anything serious). Same way some young dudes want to bang chicks in their 40s. Men and women are more similar than the internet would like us to believe.

A study essentially about itself done by a company using data it collected itself does not translate into a " fact that women view 80% of men as "below average" with regards to looks". I mean for starters take the fact that the study was about a dating app. Of attractive men, many will be in relationships, and many who are not in relationships will not be on dating apps. So that top 20% is now actually, if it includes men not on dating apps, what? 40%? Consider also that it's possible that many …

As a man who grew up with (older) sisters I really feel the difference dating women with brothers vs not. I think that early exposure to the opposite sex, especially the gross parts, helps a lot with the ability to relate to each other beyond the sex differences.

I’m a good guy but I’m also a chaotic loser and I have no problem attracting and retaining the attention of women, and I can anecdotally provide you with many examples of the same. So, while your conclusion may be true for you, it’s not true for me or any of the women in my life, and that’s about the size of it.

So what you mean is that we should not act on every desire? That’s reasonable, because not every desire is necessarily morally acceptable. But I think attraction can and must be the primary arbiter of our selection of sexual/romantic partners, as long as that attraction is deemed acceptable by the law and/or good sense.

As a man of unknown letter (alpha, beta, unknown because it’s deeply simplistic claptrap), my personal experience is that I have dated women who were generally quite quiet as well as women who were a bit brassy and dominant, and this is true of other people I know. You will find couples in what seem to be unhealthily unequal relationships, which is what I believe the OP is referring to, but they are hopefully a minority, and in any case who knows what goes on behind closed doors, ie public vs pr…

As someone who has largely lived in the world rather than online, I can say with confidence that a woman’s choice of clothes is a very poor indicator of her sexual behaviour. Some remarkably promiscuous women I’ve known were very mousey indeed. Conversely, some women who dressed like total prozzies were very sexually conservative. You can’t really tell.

Let me add to this and say that men are famous (in the real world) for monkey branching. I am old enough to to be embarrassed to be on Reddit and I cannot think of an instance of a woman monkey branching. Cheating yes. Chaotic dating yes. Monkey branching no.
