The guy is 25 and from the sounds of it, has probably been hiding this shit for months or years. Anyone can break out of it, I had a Ben Shapiro phase when I was a younger kid. But that was when I was 17. It took me months, some people take years and some just never change. You can only inform and try to reason with him for so long, but you can't depend or rely on him changing because some people simply never do, and it isn't worth staying too invested in someone or something you can't change.

The way he's acting would be a deal breaker to being a friend honestly, let alone a partner. It'd be way worse for them to be together for months or years knowing this is probably a huge deal breaker for anyone. If she breaks up with him over this that's not your problem. Whatever you say can only do so much and it's up to him to get it together. If he can't be reasoned with, there's not much you can do about it.

Does his gf know about this, this isn't something he should be hiding from her.

Deleting social media is no more of an "escape" or "cowardly" move than it would be for an alcoholic to stop buying alcohol or throw the drinks they have away. It's a perfectly viable solution.

And that is totally fine. I just figured it was worth mentioning that OP should be careful though as "replace" to me doesn't sound healthy if the mindset by which they consume content doesn't change (i.e. quickly adhering to the beliefs of those they listen to)

Never said people can't enjoy content creators or listen to their ideas, I'm only warning against trying to find another one that fills the same role redpill did for OP. If they believed the majority of what redpill said, it's not a great idea to mindlessly follow another set of ideas in the same way.

I think you are misunderstanding. There's nothing wrong with listening to content creators, but it's dangerous to take 100% (or close to it) of what a content creator says and accept it as truth. People do it all the time, and it's what OP likely did with redpill. I'm only cautioning against finding something that will fulfill that same role redpill did for OP as it's the very reason they fell into that trap to begin with.

The better thing is to not have things that fill the same void to "replace" it with. No single ideology or content creator etc is going to be infallible, so there's really no point trying to find someone who can follow like that again.

How much effort do you put into your appearance, and/ or are you physically fit? While genetics can influence appearance, I think it's worth exhausting your options and doing everything you can before getting too bummed out. Also I've found that dating feels the worst when I had actively tried to seek it out. It seems a lot better to work on yourself and put yourself in social spaces where you might have opportunities to meet someone, than trying to force something to happen.

If you can make her laugh, then she won't care about much else.

You can't make dating a goal. It might suck to be single at times, but it sucks even more when you make it a goal and don't meet it. Now why should you not make it a goal? Because it takes 2 for it to be met. Everything else in life you can do on your own. Want to get gym gains? That's something YOU can change. Want to be a good chess player? YOU can set a goal to make that happen. But dating is different. You can have 10 people with identical qualities and they can all have very different resul…

I don't think invalidating peoples' negative dating experiences in the west is more harmful as redpill. But I do agree that it kinda is harmful to begin with. Part of why people even turn to redpill to is they see their abysmal experiences with dating and listen to what others have to say, and when one side is invalidating those experiences and the other isn't, of course they're going to listen more to the side that validates their struggle. That's probably the 1% of redpill belief that is actua…

While we may agree that their ideas are toxic and harmful, I see nothing wrong with OP watching their content to gain a better understanding of why they're harmful. It might make them more convincing later on when they explain to someone why they're bad rather than giving half baked arguments which could just end up reinforcing the beliefs of those who watch them.

You aren't wrong that plastic surgery can benefit people, but it's probably a horrible idea if someone isn't a well adjusted person. What makes them like their appearance today very well might be different from what they like when they improve their mental state. Absolutely do not do anything that can permanently alter your physical appearance until that changes.

I never stated whether there were more men or women in this sub, just that there are a sizable number of responses to posts where women kind of invalidate the negative experiences that men face, or they just don't understand them. Which, I'm personally not saying we should silence them, but I do think there's some validity to what OP is saying that some people just don't have a complete perspective about what men are experiencing. Take this post for instance: https://www.reddit.com/r/exredpill/c…

Ah ok, I think I misread a bit. Still, even if it's not worded in the best way possible, I think the jist of what they're saying is how it feels frustrating to have negative male experiences or emotions drown out by women providing advice that can in many cases be out of touch, and I don't think they're necessarily wrong in that regard. Though to be fair I don't think women or men have quite figured out how to tackle the issues he's addressing. He also does address that men who speak out against…

If you think I said women having opinions is bad, then you missed the point of what I said. I said women don't have a complete perspective of what men experience, so women aren't always going to provide the best advice for other men, or they may offer suggestions that are quite frankly, out of touch. This absolutely goes both ways, men tend to offer poor advice when women make societal complaints at all. I'd say this is a pretty reasonable take.

This is a pretty reasonable take, and unfortunately, I'm not surprised by the backlash it's getting here. This sub is more reasonable than the cess pit that is redpill, but that's a pretty low bar to begin with, and at some point we need to be more productive than bashing the low hanging fruit that is Tate, Rollo, or any other redpill grifters. I've peeked into this sub for years, and every so often I do see people make reasonable attempts to steer former redpill people in the right direction, b…

I dislike this subreddit since it's biased as hell against men, but let's not forget why it was even created to begin with. Redpill manages to be even worse.

Don't worry about these virtue signaling idiots trying to "challenge" you. You can acknowledge hypergamy exists without condoning or approving of it. By their logic, racism doesn't exist because it's a deplorable concept.

"Men going their own way." It's a sexist cult that prides itself on men not needing women in their lives, or something along those lines. And that isn't even an insult, that's just how I'd best describe it (though of course I find them silly)

This statistic sounds ludicrous. To think I'm among the 10% of people with high functioning autism that has been in at least one relationship, I'm not an outstanding person and if I can do it, anyone can. Red pill seems to drill the idea that you're undesirable or not "alpha" enough if you have autism. Bullshit. If you have autism, focus on yourself, don't worry about the relationship, and be the best person you can be. Treat women as equals and be ready for when she comes along, because she wil…
